Airport is fine, the problem is getting from the airport into Kazan. The taxi situation is dire, There is little indication as to the train times in the airport and it needs to be better signposted. Most foreign visitors just get overcharged by some taxi louts that hassle at the doorway, it really gives Russia and especially Kazan a bad image.

Small, neat and clean airport , about 35 minutes away from the city centre,the officials were helpful!i had a gas lighter as a souvenir, but this is a prohibited item for both Carryon &Luggage ,but luckily they allowed me to empty it first and then carry it normally 😄

Toilets are not very clean. There isn't the best choice of restaurants and duty free is almost empty!
