As of 06/17/2023, everything is open, there are no repairs, you can go in and see the whole beauty) I only recommend approaching this mosque from the side of the Grand Bazaar along a busy shopping street. Otherwise, my friends and I were walking from the bottom of the Halich metro bridge and there you walk along poor non-tourist streets where beggars stick... Not that it's straight-forward, but it's not particularly pleasant, although it's quite colorful.
