There are no tourists, only cats.
The most beautiful mosque.
The center of the old city is marked by Mimar Sinan right here. (column in the photo)
Members of the sultan's family and his subjects are buried in the old cemetery.
Also, the turban of Suleiman the Magnificent's sons: Princes Mehmet (and his only daughter) and Jihangir.
All the sights of the Fatih area are within walking distance of each other, which makes the walk unforgettable and full of impressions. I want to crawl under every stone, look through every door. I was especially tempted to look into the tombs that were closed for restoration.
I recommend that you Google its history, at least briefly, before visiting a particular attraction. You already know exactly what you want to see and what to pay attention to.

It's beautiful and impressive. I was like a tourist. I was surprised that the mosque on the right side of the exit has a literature department where you can get the full version of the Quran in Russian for free.

It's a very bright place. Shehzade Medkhed and Jihangir are buried. The burial of Ibrahim Pasha. There is a column of the center of Byzantium, but we did not find it. Lots of cat houses.

If you have never been to a mosque, and it is not clear how to behave there and what to do, then this is a good place to get acquainted with the Muslim religion.
A quiet place, no one looks with prejudice. There are not many people, as in tourist places, you can safely walk inside and look around.

Excellent complex, no crowds of tourists, silence, grace. You can take literature about Islam in different languages, from small pamphlets to serious works. There is a famous aqueduct behind the mosque.
