The Kukcha Mosque (or Sheikh Zainiddin Mosque) is one of the most revered and ancient mosques in Tashkent, with deep historical and spiritual significance.
Historical context:
• The mosque is located in the Kukcha Mahalla, which has long been an important spiritual and commercial district of Tashkent.
• Named after Sheikh Zainiddin ibn Ebohawsa, a prominent Muslim theologian, Sufi and mentor. He was a representative of the Order of Kubraviya and was highly respected at the court of Amir Temur.
The Sheikh's Mausoleum was built at the end of the 14th century by decree of Temur, which makes this complex not only a religious, but also a historical monument of the Timurid era.
Architecture and development:
• The original mosque building has not been preserved in its original form, but the mausoleum and the surrounding khazira (cemetery) have come down to us with significant reconstructions.
• During the Soviet era, the mosque was closed, as were most religious institutions, but the mausoleum remained an object of pilgrimage.
• In 2011, a large-scale reconstruction of the mosque was completed, during which a new building was built in a modern Uzbek style with elements of traditional architecture (domes, wood carvings, mosaics).
• After the restoration, the Kukcha Mosque became one of the largest in Tashkent, accommodating up to 6,000 people.
A great place to receive spiritual food. The place for ablution is very convenient and built in a modern style. There is a cemetery nearby, where respected and revered people who came from this area are buried.
It's a very beautiful place, strangely enough. The mausoleum of Sheikh Zaniddin Kuyi Orifon gives nobility, spiritual and religious example to residents and guests of the capital. The national color of the ganj, wood carvings and a number of other national creations of the masters gives greatness to architecture. By visiting this place, you will receive spiritual and cultural enlightenment.
The atmosphere here is very favorable and friendly........ Especially for a believer, it is very warm and pleasant here...There are very good shops and catering outlets around the Holy Mosque...Delicious shish kebab, pilaf, pies, samsa several types all sooo tasty and appetizing
A beautiful, unusual mosque. Very elegant. In the Arabic style. There is a cemetery next to the mausoleum of Zainutdin Bobo. There you can see the oldest carved doors of Tashkent. And the chillakhana of the pre-Mongol period, which also served as an observatory. A quiet, atmospheric place.
Very convenient location
But it is a pity that recently they began to close the parking lot and do not let cars in outside prayer time
(Parking was banned not long ago if you did not come to the mosque, it is very strange )
The landmark of Tashkent! It is located next to the cemetery where great sheiks such as Sheikh Zainiddin, Sheikh Mohammed Sadiq Muhammad Yusuf, poets, writers and many others are buried.
My favorite place, the convenience of a 5-plus, lacks my words to explain the feeling of a person. Alhamdulillah, may Allah grant peace throughout the world
One of the oldest mosques in our city has been completely renovated , a very large capacity is comfortably located in the interior and basement , equipped with air conditioners and fans , it is warm in winter and cool in summer
Of the best mosques in the Mangystau region, one can single out bittasi, 5 Mahal chikgan, kori kiroati judayam chiroili,
the atmosphere in the mosque is overshadowed by the rudeness of judayam.
One of the oldest mosques in Tashkent, in ancient times the location of one of the 12 city gates. A very beautiful mosque, a high minaret, decoration and comfort for Muslims.
This mosque is very dear to me.
I grew up here.
My family, friends, and friends lie in this cemetery.

It's the past and the future in one place. They left the past there for the future. Such an expanse. It's a very nice place. Even there, it's nice to pray. You should beat it up there. You will feel everything for yourself and without comment.
