An important monument of Byzantine art. I know that there are mosaics inside, but you can't see them because the monument is closed for repairs. Probably for a long time. I hope for an early opening

The original construction of the building can be attributed to the time of Michael VII Duka (1071-1078). Swedish scientist Ernest Mamburi suggested that the church was founded in the 8th century. The exterior facades of the building demonstrate a typical example of late Byzantine architecture.
