Overall, not bad. There are two more or less large resorts in Armenia, and Mailer, in comparison with Tsarkhadzor, benefits from new ski lifts.
However, here are a number of disadvantages:
- there are no changing rooms in the main rental building. If you need to change your clothes, you can only do it in the bathroom. 😕
- there are only two brushes for cleaning snowboards and skis in the entire resort
- the food in the restaurants is overpriced. For example, at the Velvet restaurant, which is located at the gondola transfer station, shrimp risotto costs 5,000 drams and there are literally two shrimp cream pumpkin soup for 4,300. Nuggets for 3000. Americano in the restaurant downstairs is 1300. Mulled wine in the upper restaurant - 2750.
- there are no buses/transfers that would take you to the resort from the same Yerevan. You can only get there by private car or taxi. If there is a taxi there and back, then this is another 20-30 thousand drams to the total expenses.
Positive:
- caring staff
- clean bathrooms
- There are snow cannons
- wide trails
- new lifts where you won't get frozen by the wind while going up (unlike in Tsarkhadzor)
The resort is cool, there aren't many people at all, the trails are well-maintained and it's a pleasure to ride. The road to the resort is not very good, otherwise everything is fine. The restaurant in the middle of the mountain is the best, everything is delicious.
There is only one window for issuing a snowboard.
The skis were issued in 30 minutes of waiting, the snowboard had to wait more than an hour. At the same time, 3-4 employees are running around the cash register, but they are not very good at it.
