Great airport! Compact and cozy. The staff is very friendly, there is free Wi-Fi, as well as clean water in the cooler, which is very important given the climate in Sri Lanka. This is probably one of the best international airports I've been to (top 10 for sure).
A small, clean airport, very quiet, a big plus in the balcony for smokers.
It's also really cool that there's a cafe where you can eat.
Of course, there is a big minus for dutik, but we also understand that we should not expect more there)
There is no business lounge at the airport.
But the waiting room is large, there are many comfortable places to sit and, importantly, there is a cooler with hot and cold water.
I had pancakes from breakfast and a bag of coffee with me. I didn't have to spend money on fast food.
Dutifrey is small, there is alcohol, sweets and a lot of perfume.
The nicest airport. But there is only one place to have a snack (tea, pastries). Deety is tiny. They bring you to the airport early, 2-3 people work, as a result, everything takes a very long time. But in general everything is fine. Clean, neat.
Upon arrival, there is a very good exchanger with an excellent exchange rate, you can change most of the money there.
Sim cards are also there, the network is a dialogue
It's a great local airport and not only because it's located in Sri Lanka)))) It's clean, bright, and cozy, as well as welcoming and welcoming people with smiles.
The airport is large, clean, and comfortable. The staff is attentive. The Duty Free zone is not large and not very interesting, except, perhaps, for the sale of tea.
A modern airport by the standards of the country! I won't say anything bad!!! Everything is decent. There is Wi-Fi, friendly people, clean! The building is new, not ancient!
A small airport. Most of the packages arrive, so taxis are few and expensive. We need to make arrangements in advance . They ask for a lot of money. Sinhalese are a leisurely people, so registration takes quite a long time. In Duty, you can only buy with cash, cards do not work. The courtyard is quite beautiful. There is a smoking room on the second floor.
A small cozy airport.
There are very few departures and arrivals.
The staff is very responsive, trying to help and organize queues. There is only 1 scanner and 1 inspection frame at the entrance to the airport.
In the arrival area there is a currency exchange office (the only one for the entire airport), a small cafe, a kiosk with SIM cards.
In the departure area (after passing through immigration control) there is an alcoholic duty free, a small cafe, a Mlesna tea shop and a cashew nut shop, as well as a spacious terrace milking smokers.
During the inspection, you will be asked to take off your shoes even if you are wearing light sneakers. You will have to walk barefoot through the frame. Shoe covers / disposable socks are not issued
A clean and cozy airport. While you are changing money at an inexpensive money exchanger, your luggage will be carefully removed from the conveyor belt. Water cooler, inexpensive duty-free
A small airport in the south of the island. We arrived there and flew away from there. Clean, fast, everything works. Upon arrival, there was a queue at passport and visa control, but mainly due to the insufficient training of our tourists.
Everything is fine on departure. There is drinking water in the waiting room (free of charge) and as many as two smoking rooms. There are, as it were, Dutch fries, but they are very small and there is nothing to buy there.
Special thanks to the Lost and Found Items Service. The child forgot his phone on the plane. He was found and given away on departure, 10 days later. Thanks!
There are few places to eat. The prices are quite adequate. Lots of places to accommodate. There is nothing to buy in duty free. The local rum was only light
Super, comfortable, beautiful garden, you can already plunge into the local flora. The staff helped in everything, the language barrier was not felt. Calm, nice people. There are queues, as everywhere and always during departures, especially large planes. But they pass quickly. The inspection and control went well, they asked for a certain row on the plane, and they went to meet us. Thanks!
The airport is small , the screening procedures are quite fast , registration, as usual , takes a long time, the halls are cool, in places it is cold), for smokers there is an area on the balcony where you can enjoy the views of Sri Lanka as much as possible)
Upon arrival on the island, passport control is very fast , only queues for a visa ( it is better to do it in advance ) , currency exchange , SIM card everything is fast , lotuses were presented upon arrival , all staff are friendly, smiling , welcoming
A normal airport. Everything is as usual. There were no problems. In Domodedovo, it is more difficult to go through the baggage check-in procedures and determine the parameters of hand luggage, here they do not look at the weight or the number of bags with them at all.
The airport is not bad, although it is small. Clean, neat, cute.
There are very few flights (there was only our flight for the whole day), so everything is fast, almost no queues.
There was a long queue at passport control after arrival, and there were no queues at departure.
When we arrived, we were treated to ice cream for free (I don't know if it was a holiday or always like this).
Duty-free back and forth consisted mainly of drunks (no sweets, no cosmetics). There were also teas and local sauces on the flight back. A very modest choice.
The only thing that spoiled the pleasant impression was that the employee resisted at the reception, she had to pay for the excess (I note that $ 41 is up to 10 kg, and it doesn't matter if it's 1, 5 or 10 kg). I think this is a flaw of the airline or our travel agents, as they said that it is possible to combine suitcases and place luggage not 20/20, but 30/10.
I liked the airport, the air conditioners are working, the customs control is clean and fast enough. There are coolers with hot and cold water in the waiting room, which is sooo convenient. There is a smoking room, which is also convenient for abusers)
A good airport. The staff are polite, correct. All procedures were carried out fairly quickly. Clear. There is a special place for smokers. There is a shop with local types of tea. There is also something to eat, no one will remain hungry. Thank you for the warm welcome.
A small but cozy airport. Everything is clear what to do and where to go. The staff is very helpful in this. And in general, the Lankans are very hospitable and friendly. Everything is clean at the airport. The toilets are in order.
The airport in Mattala province is relatively small, but modern and very convenient. The girls at the airport are dressed in beautiful saris. It's nice that considering the queue, the number of working passport control and registration desks is increasing. A huge waiting room for the boarding gate with a large number of seats, a terrace for those who want to smoke, a bar and a small duty free. The currency exchange bank is open during arrival and departure. There are no problems with the exchange. Perhaps we were lucky, as we served only one plane, although with a large number of passengers.
A very small airport, Dutch free is tiny, there is nothing to buy, prices are high, it's better to buy in Russia, the exchange rate at the airport is not very good, immediately buy a SIM card
A young international airport. I am glad that it has appeared, very convenient location, the southern resorts of the island have become closer than from Colombo. One cafe and one coffee machine is not enough. There is a lounge area for 26rubles per person, you can eat. The airport will soon be developed and the number of international flights will be more!!!
It's a pretty airport. For the regional center,. Very nice, but simple (for a Russian citizen, of course).

A small airport. There is practically no duty free (very small). Upon arrival, only four people worked for five hundred people who arrived. We stood in line for a long time.
When it was time to leave, a new "quest" began. First there was a queue to enter the airport, then a queue to go further, and the next queue to check in and check in your luggage. On the second floor there is a waiting room, at some point they began to let people into the transition to the plane (respectively, there is also a queue), but the most interesting thing turned out to be that there is a queue for the plane again, since this is still some kind of storage room... The flight certainly made the rest easier
I liked the airport, the staff is responsive and kind. There are signs in Russian. And there is also a Russian-speaking staff, the language barrier is not felt. The airport is clean. There is a beautiful garden. I recommend.
Modern, large, the territory is green, there is an exchange office, the course is good, peacocks are walking, the queue was large only at the window, although they work quickly and this was the only place in Sri Lanka where they did not smile.
The airport is not big, there are cafes, air conditioning works, there is water in coolers and a currency exchanger, it is clean enough. There will be disappointment for fans of dutifrey-the choice is not rich.
It's not a big airport, there were only two flights in the morning and evening on the day of our departure. We can only say that our plane was at the airport))
It's a long way to the coast, but the road is scenic, and you can even see a peacock on the airfield. The airport is quite convenient. The flight was not delayed
A small comfortable airport. Come for earlier tk there may be queues for inspection. Do not forget to exchange rupees for dollars, because they do not accept rupees in duty free.
It is somewhat reminiscent of Utapao in Pattaya - a military airport where only charters land, which means that there is no unnecessary fuss and whirl. One of the advantages is that the currency can be changed at the airport at the same rate as everywhere else. And buy a SIM card for $ 5 immediately upon arrival, it's convenient. Before departure, even before the sterile area, we had a snack of pizza, yogurt and muffins in general for some ridiculous money: 450 rupees for three people. But in the sterile area, the price tag is already several times higher) For smokers, there is a chic smoking room on the balcony.
And yes, no one paid attention to the excess weight in luggage up to 5 kg.
A small but very beautiful airport. Stylish interior. There are water coolers in the departure waiting area, which is very important. The only drawback is that there is no water on sale practically to take with you on the plane. There is a cafe on the territory, but when we were there, the water ran out and we had to fly for 8 hours without water and constantly ask the flight attendants.
Maaaalenky airport in Sri Lanka, now red wings flies here.
Upon arrival, the control can be passed quickly enough, provided that you have issued a visa online in advance, otherwise there is a long queue.
There is a currency exchange with an adequate exchange rate, where you can also exchange rupees for dollars on departure.
There are points of sale of local SIM cards, a small cafe and a coffee machine that accepts only $.
Of the minuses, there is a queue at the entrance to the airport at departure - there is only one control point at the entrance, and there are 400+ people departing.
Business-I knew - in fact, no one for $ 26 per person. From food - pasta, French fries, some fruit, porridge-yoghurts. Drinks are freely available, but beer is 1 can of 0.33liters per person. But if you persistently communicate with the manager, they can add another 1 jar per person)
There are two smoking areas freely available, but if you have chosen a business hall for yourself, then you can visit the smoking room only accompanied by security)
Nice village airport with peacocks!!!Silence, there are no people from the word at all)))The attitude is good in principle, as in the whole of Sri Lanka)
A small airport, but clean and comfortable enough. The luggage was given out quickly, the plane was brought to the airport, the staff were friendly. There are many peacocks walking in front of the airport.
The airport is 10 years old, in very decent condition. But it was not designed for the arrival of a full Boeing. Therefore, you go down from the arrival area to the 1st floor and divide into 90% of those who have not paid remotely for an electronic visa (there is a very long queue, the official demands blue dollars and only after a scandal accepts small things) and 10% of IT specialists and experienced tourists calmly passing to another window. You give a passport and say the magic words "electronic visa" and you are free :)
The prices in duty free for imported alcohol and tobacco are the best on the island, the exchange rate is the most interesting (it was, please specify), and a SIM card for 30 gigs for 1.5 tons of rupees solves everything later. I was happy about this choice later.
Not bad. There is a business lounge for departure. Food and soft drinks are included in the price of about $50 per person. Priority pass, one pass, Mir pass are not accepted. There is little choice in duty free. Mostly large bottles with local and imported alcohol. There is a fast food cafe in the departure area. A big queue and beer for $ 10. There is a smoking room inside and outside. If there is any local money left, you can exchange it back into dollars before the security area - in the first hall of the airport.
