It's a very decent place. It looks like a palace museum - everything is beautiful and pompous. However, you can walk by and have a wonderful lunch. Two concepts are presented at once: a buffet for a fixed fee and a standard one - an order from a waiter. I examined the offers for a fixed fee - a very decent choice of dishes both in quantity and content. So if you're in a hurry, then this is the way out. Here and now you type and go straight to the table. I had time and I got an order from the waiter. Everything was deliciously cooked, the portions were plentiful and arrived quickly. So it's a great place!

Marakanda is rapidly breaking into the top of the most delicious places of national cuisine in Almaty. Friendly and caring staff, fast service, although the hall is full, great cuisine! To the cook - a separate Rakhmet for the amazing meat! They put one behind the cot, like a sultan. I really liked the building and the halls with different interiors. The cuisine is also delicious. The prices are reasonable, as they are everywhere in the city. Every day they arrange something like a "happy hour" or a Business Lunch from 12:00-15:00. For 4500 tenge. You can try a lot of things and get full. We were at a corporate restaurant. The hall was well decorated. Special thanks for the music, the songs. It was a lot of fun.
And now about the bad
1. The meeting of the guests was not thought out. It took 30 minutes to hand over the clothes. They took only a coat, but refused a bag with shoes. It ruined the impression. By the way, I also had to wait as long to pick up my clothes!!! They couldn't find it.
2. The menu. Caesar salad surprised! 4 pieces of chicken and 4 crackers and sooooooo many lettuce leaves! I felt like a rabbit. The kebab was delicious
3. Maintenance. I was struck by the attitude of the waiters, one of the waiters came to our table and took a bottle 0, 33 where the employee had water with medicine. Odorless!!! He sniffed for a long time, called another waiter, and then they sniffed together. It was an exciting show. Then they decided whether to fine or not! The most interesting thing is that the employee was not at the table. No one allowed them to snoop around! I should have waited for the guest!!! The indignation is off the scale.
4. The receptionist is a darling girl. She came up and asked if we liked everything.

A very pleasant, large and authentic Oriental restaurant. The restaurant has 5 floors. At the very top there is a summer terrace with a roof with a beautiful view of the mountains. There are types of seating for every taste - sofas, armchairs, and trestles. Everything is beautiful and bright. The food is delicious and the portions are large, as in most Uzbek restaurants. The choice of dishes is huge, almost every dish on the menu has a photo. The only thing was that the salad with eggplant and cheese was very salty, apparently due to fried cheese. Borscht was also not very liked, but, in principle, it could not have been in the restaurant at all, because it has nothing to do with oriental cuisine. Therefore, I will not lower the rating, because we really liked all the other dishes - okroshka, beshbarmak, chuchvara and lemonade. The restaurant also offers buffet business lunches. The prices are not very high. Higher, of course, than in some diner, but it's definitely worth it. I highly recommend the restaurant!
