everything is confusing and the terminals are located very inconveniently, all around the runway. There is nothing interesting or special, the water is provided for free.

The huge airport is similar in design to Suvarnabhumi in Bangkok. There are exchangers and many boutiques, cafes. Located in the city, in case of a long connection, you can easily get to the hotel.
There are practically no shops, there are only two food outlets - Starbucks and Illy coffee shop with a very limited assortment and high prices. The waiting room is squalid. The screening during the transfer resembles a village airport. In general, the less time you spend, the better for you.
A huge airport, and there are no electronic scoreboards! On boarding, where to register - the intuition show. The collective farm of the 70s... Instead of monitors, there are workers everywhere, and they are all asked - this is the only way to find the right queue.
Oh, speaking of queues. I arrived 3.5 hours before boarding, and barely managed to catch the plane - I stood in 5 different queues for 3 hours, I have not seen this anywhere..
Yes, and to call a taxi, be sure to install the GRAB app - you can link it via Facebook. Otherwise, you will stand in line for half an hour, and you will leave 4-5 times more expensive. And if there is no queue right from the exit, then it is 15 times more expensive...

Clean convenient airport. As everywhere there are shops, coffee shops and eateries. It is impossible to get confused where to go. There are plenty of signs and staff with a smile will help you find your gate.
Very unpleasant customs controls are absolutely everywhere in the Philippines, friendly people, but in Manila the airport is as if there are not Filipinos but fascists sitting there!!!
The terminals are located randomly, but a bus shuttle runs between them, ask the staff about the departure time - you don't have to spend money on a taxi.
It's the worst I've ever seen. There is no way to go to the cafe at the transfer, no water or food. There are no recreation areas. I hope I don't have to see it again. 💩
Be careful with the information on the scoreboard about the gates, it does not always correspond to reality and no one cares about it, except those who missed the plane.
The airport in Manila is large and comfortable. It is difficult to get lost in it, even for passengers like me (without knowledge of any foreign languages). I really liked the elevator with which you can get to the city in 5 minutes. On our first arrival, we did not know about the existence of this elevator and spent money on a taxi to get to the hotel, which is located next to the airport, behind the highway. The staff is very friendly.
