Great kebabs!
Delicious, fast, plentiful, inexpensive and sparsely populated.
The cafe is hidden in one of the many alleys next to Istiklal. We found it by accident: passing by, we looked into the plates of the guests who were sitting on the street (yes, that's so uncivilized). I was interested in the large, beautiful portions. Then we looked at the maps, and it turned out to be a well-known place. The next day we came here for lunch. And we were delighted!
Since then, we have been visiting Mangal Keyfi on every trip to Istanbul.
What to try?
I recommend Urfa kebab, lentil soup, durume with chicken and durume with beef. The portions are impressive. And in addition to them, as a compliment, you will be treated to tortillas and a snack or choban salad. Choban is a shepherd's salad made from finely chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and herbs. In Turkey, it is traditionally served with all kebabs and grills.
The prices are average. A kebab costs 420 lire, a durum costs 210.
The service is unobtrusive. You'll be lucky if you're served by an adult waiter (perhaps the owner). He is very friendly and attentive.
We have never found a full landing in the establishment. There are always places.
If you get tired of the noisy Istiklal and want to have a nice meal in peace, go here.
It's a lovely, small and cozy place.
The food is delicious and very fast. We ordered kebabs and soup. Everything is just fine. The price tag is humane.
And old rock is also playing.
I strongly recommend it, if you want to have a delicious meal, come and you won't regret it.
Good location, reasonable prices. The service is good, the food is delivered in 10 minutes. We ordered 2 kebabs, salad, tea, snacks and tortillas as a gift. It is very satisfying and delicious. They ate too much, gave 800 lire for everything on daoih.
