Overall, the hotel is not bad. Clean, there is a small swimming pool. The rooms are large, but not quite cozy. Wooden old furniture. The room was poorly cleaned. One day they asked me to clean up, because for some reason they didn't do it the day before, when they returned they were surprised. Only the garbage bag was taken away. They didn't put clean towels and didn't even make the bed. The staff is helpful but helpful. It's just not pleasant at some points. They forced us to order a tuk tuk for us. And then it turned out that they are standing around the corner and charge 2 times cheaper.
I also didn't like the 10% commission as a service fee for services not related to the hotel. For example, we ordered a transfer from the airport in advance from the hotel and paid the driver in cash as agreed. And the return transfer from the hotel to the airport was in the final calculation and the hotel employee insisted on paying them, not the driver, and 10% was added to the price. It's the same with tuk tuks. They threw 10% for the fact that they called the tuk tukers for all the times.
The usual local people live around the hotel, there are mountains of garbage everywhere, appropriate flavors, and someone in the neighborhood keeps chickens. Firstly, the smell, secondly, the rooster. Well, it's very active. I think he was yelling all the time. From about 4 o'clock in the morning for sure. And in the evening when we returned from walking (about 16-17 hours) he was also constantly crowing. On the second day, it began to annoy.
Of the advantages, I can mention the free breakfasts. They go by the menu. A la carte. There are few dishes, but there are plenty to choose from. And freshly squeezed juices for breakfast are served on request. And so it's expensive and not tasty to eat at the hotel. No one has ever eaten everything that was ordered for our family of 4 people. Basically, then they began to either eat in restaurants or order food with delivery via the panda or grap app. It is 5 times cheaper than in a hotel. Both sushi and Italian cuisine, etc., everything is there. According to the type of Russian delivery or Yandex delivery from restaurants.
The hotel actively offered us all kinds of excursions. They took on elephants (the organization is disgusting, they liked the elephants themselves), and took a walk-through to a local restaurant with a show. I liked the way everything was organized there. Interesting performances. The price included food, a buffet, the food was varied and very tasty. The only drawback, if you find fault, then the price did not include a transfer to the restaurant ($ 2 one way) and drinks (although water or tea could be arranged). And so I highly recommend this event, an interesting production.
It's not even bad for Cambodia.Of the advantages, decent / not that much, but also / breakfast, not bad rooms and a swimming pool.Convenient location relative to the Anchor and downtown, almost walking distance on tuktuki.
Of the minuses, the staff is very stuffy when you need to go / go anywhere on the one hand and almost completely absent when you need to load your suitcases and go to the airport.
There is no elevator ...
All tuktuks, excursions, etc. are better directly / cheaper from 25% /, despite the eternal attempts to impose their help from the staff.
And yes, a very loud, terribly loud rooster. There are no double-glazed windows/Plexiglass windows/ woke us up for hours all 5 days, but roosters don't live very long)
In general, for Cambodia, it is a solid 4.
Great hotel! Pleasant staff, spacious rooms, delicious a la carte breakfast, private pool, a massage session for 30 minutes was included in the reservation. We were allowed to check out later for a couple of hours
