Great place! We were vacationing with our parents and a 4-month-old child. Everyone was satisfied. Of the advantages:
• the houses are located right across the street from the sea. The beach is not densely "populated" by vacationers, so you will always find a place for yourself. There is a cafe on the beach, rental of sapboards, sun beds can be taken.
• the base has everything for a comfortable stay: a kitchen with dishes, a microwave oven, a thermal pot, a stove, barbecues, firewood, taps with water near each house to wash your feet after the beach. Houses with a veranda, air conditioning, refrigerator, kettle, TV and all necessary amenities. We were by car, so it was convenient for us to drive both towards Gudauta and towards Mount Athos.
• nearby there is a shop, a canteen with good prices and a local "pyaterochka".
They settled ahead of time and, in principle, go to meet the guests in everything. The rest was a success, thank you.

We stumbled upon this place quite by accident when we were looking for an overnight stay in New Athos. We arrived and were pleasantly surprised. Such a beautiful and well-maintained territory, beautiful houses built into a row. Inside, everything in the houses is brand new and often, there is everything you need for a normal holiday. Toilet, shower, air conditioning, refrigerator and TV are all there. The staff is polite, we were checked in quickly and without any problems. There is a large garden with tangerine trees on the territory of the base, it is unusual and very beautiful.

Don't set foot here in the off-season! It's cold, there are thumb-sized cracks in the house, the kondei can't cope, at night, when the temperature is up to 10, it feels like you're sleeping outside.
The owners know this situation, when they saw us with small children, they kept silent that it was cold. As a result, they spent one night and ran away, paying for two in total.
Guys, your place is great, but at least make a sanctifying repair, otherwise it's terrible...

Excellent comfortable houses with all amenities, a large clean area. Electricity, hot water, Wi-Fi are all uninterrupted. There are shops and cafes nearby. A pleasant host. Minus one - the nearest beach is dirty and unequipped at 09.2023, but it takes 7-10 minutes by car or minibus to get to the central beach in New Athos.

It is located 15 minutes by car from New Athos. The houses themselves are located a 5-minute walk from the sea, it is visible from the window. There is a nice cafe on the beach, cute swings, a shower, no sun beds (I attach a photo of the beach). On the territory of the recreation center there is a barbecue area, a swing, beautiful flowers at each house. There is a summer kitchen, a lot of dishes and cutlery. The house is clean, has air conditioning, TV, small refrigerator. An iron and a hair dryer were provided on request, but they were not useful to me. There were no problems with water. The wifi worked well. They were allowed to stop by a little earlier than scheduled, and they also did not rush to leave, which is nice. I liked the atmosphere of the place. There were no neighbors to be heard. We were very satisfied with the rest!

It's a wonderful place. Yes, there are interruptions with water and Internet, but this is the exception rather than the rule. A very beautiful, peaceful place. We were settled before the due time, the beach is clean, the owners are friendly.If you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, then you are here. There is a kitchen on site, and the room has all the amenities.There are 2 cafes 150 meters away. We were only in one place, on the beach and everything was very tasty. We have something to compare it with and it is this place that reminded us of Cuba, there is only a white sand) And more. As long as there were cataclysms all along the coast, we were safe. The place is on a hill and only wet the grass in the yard. The only point is that we drove by car and it was very convenient for us to travel in all directions of Abkhazia. It will be more difficult without a car. But there were vacationers in the next house and they traveled wonderfully by public transport.Next year we want to go to the same place and are already calling friends. thank you!

I didn't like it very much.... A beautiful place with nice houses. But a couple of "buts" were forced to lower the rating. 1. Water can be very unstable! Even cold. And no one can predict its presence. 2. It's the same story with television. 3. We booked accommodation in early spring. Upon arrival, it turned out that one doiik was already occupied and only 2 of the 3 we needed were free. The owner found it difficult to answer the question of how it happened. But he did not bother to tell us that he had already rented to us very cheaply because of an error by the aggregator for renting Housing. Although the correspondence about the prepayment was conducted in the messenger with him personally. It was like a divorce. When money was needed in the off-season, he called one thing, and now, when there is a queue for him, he says another.

We stayed at this place in September 2022. New beautiful houses!
Ours had one double and one single bed, a small refrigerator, its own shower and toilet.
There is a shared kitchen where you can cook something or take dishes.
A small internal area, the car can be parked near the house.
Important points that vacationers need to know:
- Guest houses are located next to the road, to reach the sea, you need to cross the highway
- It's better to come by car. New Athos is only 10 minutes away. There are no cafes or shops near the guest house. It is better to get to a good beach by car.
I recommend this place, if you are driving, then it is a great option.

We have booked 2 cabins for 4 people. We left Moscow in 2 days to get to the appointed date. At night, on the way, we receive an SMS that they cannot accept, force majeure. The money was returned, but all plans were disrupted. We do NOT recommend it

We were in August 2022. The impression remained twofold.
On the plus side: wifi really catches in the house, for Abkhazia it's just a miracle. At times, however, during rush hour, the channel width began to be insufficient and one of us could be thrown out. There was almost always water in the shower - it was turned off only once. The neighbors are almost inaudible, only if they are chatting on the veranda. The house was cleaned regularly (!), the linen was clean - for Abkhazia, this is also a miracle-wonderful, pleasantly surprised. The air conditioner is working. The house is relatively clean. There is a small glass table and three armchairs. The fridge is small but clean, and there is a kettle. The living conditions for Abkhazia are quite good, I would say.
The sea is nearby. There are few people.
The hostess has a friend who sells milk, cheese and very good wine. The wine is just wow. I love Abkhazian homemade wines and used to buy from a woman in Anukhva - so, this one tastes better at times. Her cheese is good, including under the order, she smoked it for us for real, in a smokehouse, and not as lazy housewives do for sale on the market)), tomatoes from the garden. It is a pity that it did not manifest itself immediately, but already before our departure. But at least we bought wine and cheese at home.
The attitude of the owners is friendly.
That's all the advantages.
The main global disadvantage is an unfortunate location. On a busy highway. But it is extremely inconvenient to get to any place without a car. The mountains are far away, you can walk and walk to them, and most of the way along the highways among cars. It is more than an hour on foot to the nearest picturesque places, and even those places have run out once or twice. To New Athos - just go, and not close and not cheap. A whole adventure, you can't ride like this every day. Buses fly past on the highway, they need to be caught, actively waving their hands - without a schedule and guarantees. You never know in advance how long you will stand on the edge of the track until you are picked up. Prices on buses also depend on the street lamp. The owner recommended a taxi service to us - but taxis are not caught at this point in the space. It's more realistic to go from the city to them. In general, some kind of black hole (( there is nowhere to go out and really walk...
It's 10 minutes to the sea, but - cross a busy highway. And here, outside the city, cars rush like crazy and do not slow down, even if they see people on the road. There is the same track in New Athos - but they drive a little more carefully there. The beach is not equipped in any way, it is quite dirty. But no water bikes and so on - it's quiet and empty.
There are two shops, side by side and duplicate each other, the assortment is very poor, and the prices are high. A minimum of food, just so you don't starve to death)) Fruits and vegetables do not come every day, there is almost no choice, the quality is often poor, and prices are higher than in Moscow, especially considering that we were in August. Household goods are minimal, there is no beach junk and clothes, there are no pharmacies nearby. But thank God, at least there are such shops - because it's not easy to get to the city, I repeat, but I want to eat every day. There is a cafe at one of the shops.
The house is small, cramped for three (but it's just not scary, we won't be for long), the windows don't open, it's stuffy in the house, especially at night in the morning. The air conditioner does not save against the stuffiness. And you can't open the door at night - the house is on the road, anyone can come in.
There is little greenery. A field of cut grass, several apple trees standing apart in the distance. The houses have very small beds of low flowers. There are very few grapes or vines to weave around the veranda, large flower beds, and more trees... So that there is shade, it is beautiful and not so much in sight. In the morning there is a natural heat on the veranda (but everything dries quickly in the morning)) - by the way, there is a portable clothes dryer). It is more or less pleasant to sit on the veranda only late in the evening. But it would be even more pleasant to sit hidden behind a wall of grapes or vines...
They also mowed the grass all day from morning to evening. The field is huge, so while he's mowing, it's probably grown here and there again. While mowing there, it has grown here. And so all day until dark, it's a non-stop buzzing.
The kitchen is shared on the street, open - only the roof is on top, dirty, there are not enough dishes for everyone. We took a tile from home with us and cooked in the house, although the table is very tiny, it is not very convenient to put an ashtray cleanly to eat and cook together. And a glass one - you can't put hot stuff on it.
But they coped.

There are more minuses than pluses. It is a 15-minute drive from civilization. There are a couple of cafes and 2 shops nearby. A pack of dogs constantly runs around the territory, does not let you sleep. The grass is not sprayed by ticks, it is better not to lie down. There are few dishes in the common kitchen and almost all of them are broken, knives must be required. During the 10 days of stay, they cleaned 1 time and then gritted their teeth. They give out only 1 towel. there is no refrigerator in the room, but a mini bar. There is a TV and air conditioning - who cares. The beach across the street is not equipped, there is no shower. Wi-Fi does not work well on the territory, only at night, when everyone is asleep, it loads. It looks more like a camping ground than a living room courtyard, especially since it doesn't look like a hotel.

The feeling remained twofold… On the one hand, it seems to be good (the sea is close, parking, no one interferes), but on the other: to get to the sea, you need to cross a busy highway along which they fly headlong, so I wouldn't risk crossing there with a child. The pillows are ancient and in need of updating, there are no blankets at all, only a bunch of blankets (there was a feeling of some kind of gypsy), two will not be able to wash-you have to wait for the boiler to heat up, a small volume. We were occupied by 2 houses and it was quiet, but when people were settled in a neighboring house for one night, it was impossible to sleep from their TV, so when fully occupied, I do not know how to live.you can only use a sedan to enter the parking lot in dry weather, after the rain it was not possible to enter and you had to put the car lower.
I have an allergy from the bed linen, but this is an individual feature, my husband's skin has suffered fine.
I am unlikely to return there a second time, except to feed the animals, they are wonderful) so that they do not starve until the end of the paid period, otherwise they would have moved out the next day.

Small cardboard houses, mold in the shower, smudges on the walls of the whole house, apparently everything flows in the rain. Wi-fi is unstable, there was no Wi-Fi at all on the day of arrival. The door to the shower does not close, it is skewed. The door to the house closes with difficulty. The representative of this recreation center Timur is unfriendly, gloomy, does not solve any questions about comfort. The main disadvantage is the location. The base is located directly near the highway and the railway. Cars are rushing along the highway at great speed, it is dangerous to cross it. There is also a railway nearby, along which freight trains run. The road to the beach is undeveloped, puddles and mud. The beach itself is wild, a lot of garbage. There is no infrastructure nearby. We booked for a week, but stayed one night and left, Timur refused to return the prepayment to us.

The territory is not closed, anyone can enter. The houses are relatively close to the sea, but you have to cross the highway where cars are running, there are no zebras. during the 5 days of stay, the lights and water were turned off several times (for two hours each time). There is a grocery store nearby. cafes near the sea, the assortment is not very good, they cook so-so, a couple of times they tried to add extra to the receipt. The sea was dirty, probably because of the bad weather…The beach is not equipped, neither a sunbed nor an umbrella can be rented. It's inexpensive for the price, but there's no one there. Generally below average. We definitely won't go a second time.

Abkhazia is a country of the soul! Clean sea, fertile lands, hospitable people! This is how Internet sources describe Abkhazia. This is the third trip. What can I say?!
First of all, about the Mandarin. The houses are not bad, the interior is clean, there is air conditioning, mini fridge, shower and toilet. That's all. Cleaning will be done only in 5 days, however, as well as toilet paper, a garbage bag, a change of towels and linen. Next is the kitchen, it is located separately and is designed for all 10 houses - one stove, two tables. Detergents and sponges are not provided. As stated in the booking, there is no playground in sight. It's a wilderness, there are only two shops nearby and it's not clear which cafe. Then the sea itself and the beach. The sea is across the road, a roadway where there is no pedestrian crossing. You go with the child at your own risk. After all, the locals drive terribly. Only Russians follow the rules of the road and that's it. We cross the road and get to the Galichno sandy beach. The sand is large and dark, so the sea is cloudy and not ghostly. There are two settlements nearby Gudauta and Athos, so the sea is much cleaner. There's not much to do here, if you can drive a car then. The children are very bored, because there are no children's entertainment and they will have to go to Athos.

Honestly, we just spent the night, nothing special. Everything was there, near the sea, a cafe and a shop. The air conditioner, the water heater, are trying, it's obvious! For the family of norms. There is a separate summer kitchen, there is a stove, microwave, what else, not used, dishes. So everything is friendly and homely. The house is made of thin wood - we can hear the neighbors, we were lucky to have a baby next to us.

I really enjoyed my vacation in Mandarin.
There were two times.
The only thing is that there are not always free houses - mostly occupied - a lot of vacationers.
When we were there, couples with and without children were on vacation. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the sea - it's really very close.
Each house has a veranda with a beautiful view of the sea. We were in the heat, the air conditioner coped, it was not hot in the house, and in September we were there too, turned on the air conditioner for heating, and the room was comfortable.
The hosts are very cheerful and friendly, always willing to answer all questions.
As for the food, sometimes we cooked ourselves, and sometimes we went to a cafe. We mostly cooked soup or shish kebab ourselves - we have everything we need - and meat, which we bought at the market in Gudauta, and coal, and a barbecue, and dishes, and grates, and skewers.
As for the cafes, there are two nearby. The service leaves much to be desired in both. Especially in the cafe "At Andrey's", where the waitress may not even turn her head when visitors come in. In the cafe by the sea, the girl was a little faster. The menu is almost the same. We liked to take grilled trout there. The cook at the cafe "Andrei's" has respect for both trout and shish kebab.
As for the sea, on our first visit it was the purest, there are practically no people on the beach - 30 people on the entire coast (social distance - everything is as it should be). On our second visit in September, the sea was dirtier because there were storms and downpours, but this does not apply to Tangerine in any way.
In general, we liked everything very much, and if you come to Abkhazia, we highly recommend Mandarin.

The place is great for relaxing by car. I will not recommend "Horseless": it is too far to the source, market, shops. There is no way to cook food, but there is a good cafe on the beach. The houses are clean and cozy. The stated amenities are present. The hosts are friendly. Some little things like the lack of space for utensils and the lack of an equipped place for drying clothes do not spoil the overall impression. The beach is sandy: for someone it is a virtue, for someone it is a disadvantage. I would go back there, even now, but by car. 😊

The place is good, but not for winter, there are cracks everywhere in the houses, in windows, doors, under the roof, in the bathroom ventilation directly to the street.
