We had a rest in June 2024, we liked everything very much, clean, cozy rooms, everything you need is available. Friendly staff, there is a place for drying clothes, tables for eating outdoors. The sea is 2 minutes away, shops are within walking distance. If we decide to go again, we will definitely stay at the Mandarin, and we will recommend it to friends and acquaintances!

Excellent hotel: close to the sea and the bus stop. Friendly and helpful hosts, made early check-in and late check-out. The rooms are clean, have everything you need, there is a kitchen with a microwave and a kettle, as well as an outdoor veranda overlooking Gagra. I advise everyone!

We rested here in July 2024. Good service, clean rooms, Wi-Fi, refrigerator and toilet. The convenient location is 60 meters from the sea. Definitely staying in this hotel room is worth the money. They cook very tasty in the cafe on the ground floor.

We drove up to the hotel, we were greeted by a huge smelly garbage can.There is no sail. Only the public courtyard near the football field. The rooms are old and small. The smell of junk. The kitchen is not delicious. We ate in the next dining room.the beach is not well maintained. There are glasses. There are many cafes, shops and pharmacies nearby. After a couple of days, most started vomiting and diarrhea. They said that the water in the sea is not clean, something is being drained there. So stock up on pills right away.We sat without light for a day. The generator was not working. The money for the day's food was refunded. But you can't hide from the sun in the room anymore.Before that, we had a rest in Tsandrypsha, it would be better not to leave there. And you can say that there is no Internet, which is sad.

The place is good. Shops for every taste within a radius of 200-300 meters. The staff is excellent. The owner of the guest house is a wonderful person! The prices for accommodation are reasonable. The beach is 100 meters from the mini-hotel, clean. But there is one "but" - time puts its fingerprints on everything that the vacationer's hand touches. During the off-season, it would not hurt to do a marathon with the premises. But in general, I am happy with my stay at the Mandarin!

We have been vacationing since July 18. Overall, the impression is good. The sea is very close, 100 meters away. The rooms are clean, the garbage was removed from the room daily. During the week, bed linen was changed 1 time and towels were changed 3 times. We ate on the 1st floor in a cafe. Everything is delicious and the prices are reasonable. Special Thanks to the waiter guys! Of the cons: in our room, the air conditioner was located unsuccessfully, directed towards the bed (in the next room it is located more successfully), fasteners are broken in the shower to attach upstairs, it is not critical, but it is better to fix it. A hair dryer without a nozzle and to use it you have to hold the button, it's inconvenient!! I can recommend it, but check about the air conditioner when you book

A clean guest house, a hotel, even I would say. In 2 weeks, the bed linen was changed 3 times, towels are changed every few days and the floor is wiped. There are necessary shops and canteens nearby.
We took accommodation with meals (breakfast, dinner), but then refused, it was monotonous for us and did not fit the time. Upon refusal, we were refunded the money. Who likes porridges and cereals - you will like it! Very tasty compotes!!
I take off the star for the location: we expected that we would be on line 1, but in fact the hotel nearby has a drain from the city, it smells very much of sewage , so every day we went away along the shore for half a kilometer for sure…
Cleaners start clanking mops in the hallway early in the morning, it is very audible in the rooms, the Internet is not stable (Wi-Fi) is constantly shut down.

A wonderful dining room! Delicious 👌🏼 we ordered dumplings, fish soup, salad with beef tongue and eggplant, made a good impression. If you compare with 2 canteens yesterday, it was expensive and not tasty, plus chipped dishes and workers neigh like horses, but here, quiet, clean, calm, delicious👌🏼 and yes, they don't take 10%, leave it for tea🤗

we stay here 4 times and it gets worse every year, the cafe cooks for a very long time but it's delicious, as for the rooms, the sofas creak very much. in the shared kitchen, the microwave heats up after 2 times, as well as in the shared kitchen there is one fork for all guests.

Do not order a room with food, you will waste your money (it is not tasty). In the cafe on the ground floor you can have a good meal, but there is still a choice. For two weeks, the room was never cleaned, my wife swept it herself. The kitchen is empty, the microwave is broken, there are 2-5 plates from the dishes, 2 cups, a fork and 3 spoons of everything. Of the advantages, only the sea is nearby, the beach is not well maintained, the canal flows nearby. The owner is kind. TV has 20 common channels, it does not always show, there are probably problems with the antenna. The price is expensive, as always and everywhere in Abkhazia. I wouldn't go again.

We had a rest with my husband at the guest house from September 2-11. The rooms are clean, the staff is polite and helpful. Cleaning every day, change of linen and towels after 3 days. The food is simple, the same every week for 10 days is what you need. The most important thing is that there is always light and hot water, since Levon has his own generator. All the vacationers envied us. A big plus for a room without a balcony, a hot towel dryer, there is no smell of dampness in the shower and the linen dries very quickly. The proximity of the sea is cosmic, from the room to the sea 2 minutes 35 seconds. Everything is within walking distance - shops, pharmacies and shopping malls. There is a cafe in the mandarin itself, everything is fresh, hot, delicious and fast serving. I also recommend the cafe "Maria", it is not far away, towards staraya Gagra. Next to the house, the stadium, my husband watched football right from the veranda. There are two washing machines, its only powder. We liked everything, we are happy with the rest. The weather was great, we bought up and brought home a golden tan."Mandarin"-well done!!!

We had a rest there in 2017. Nice guest house. On the top there is a small children's play area and tables for eating with a view of the mountains or the sea, because we were with a child, it was very convenient. The house is located next to the beach (pebble beach, sun beds are paid), which is also very convenient. The dining room is downstairs with reasonable prices, delicious food is prepared, food can be taken to the room, which is also very convenient with a child. There is also a kitchen where you can cook by yourself. In general, it is cozy and comfortable.

Disgusting service!
We went to lunch and there were no half of the dishes at all, we ordered a dish for the evening, and when we came to dinner, they tell us that the dish will only be by 21!
Okay... we made an order for wings, as a result, after 20 minutes of waiting, the waiter said that their wings were rotten and we had to order again!
Then we waited for food for OVER AN HOUR!
The waiters are generally pathetic and won't say a normal word, they just mumble.
They only made excuses that they had nothing to do with it at all.
When they BOTHERED to bring us food, everything was at the level of a second-rate eatery, the vegetables were not cooked, everything was bland, what they were doing that hour was not clear at all, with which there was not a full landing in the hall!
We were offered neither a discount nor a compliment from the cook. THEY DIDN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE!!!
The place is disgusting, the service is a nightmare, I advise you to avoid this place!

I don't want to write much about our stay at the hotel.All the reviews here are extremely positive, thanks to them, my husband, my child and I went here.From the good:the sea is really a minute's walk away, the rooms are clean, cleaned every day, bed linen and towels are changed, the hotel has a good cafe, thanks to him, they did not starve to death there is a very tasty and pleasant woman serving)and yes, it's not expensive!From the bad:we rented a three-bed room with meals (breakfast, dinner)we wished very much, did not immediately realize to give up this food, refused in recent days, the owner returned the money to us for this, thank you very much! A modern hotel, there were B2 rooms. issue in August 2021. Everything matches the description on the website. The kitchen in the cafe is excellent. It's a minute walk to the sea. The photo shows the view from the upper open area and the mountain view from the room. Of the small disadvantages, those who want to warm up / cook something themselves, there are not enough dishes, they may have been taken to the rooms and not returned.

Well, such a thing...There are only stairs, eating only at the top, on the open veranda.It's very problematic in the rain, by the way. There is one kettle and one semi-dry microwave for the entire guest house.You can't eat in the rooms (but we scored on it and boiled water and cooked pasta, potatoes (we arrived with our own small device).And there is no other way, because the food in the cafe (in almost all) is tasteless!!!! The TVs in some rooms are out of order. And at night, the electricity is turned off there and, as a result, there is no hot water!The owner is not very friendly.One of the advantages is the proximity to the sea.
