They were in October 2021.
How you've been to hell!
I will omit the passage of the seven circles of hell at the airport upon departure (everyone interested in this is already aware of this) I will write specifically about the Luna Charm Hotel. Well, this bottom is full. We were here in 2015 at the end of August before the incident with the plane, and there was no such horror as this time.
The only thing I was lucky with was the number. In the main building with a view of the neighboring building on the second floor. There are only 3 such rooms there. The rest are terribly located.
The hotel itself looks like an abandoned, dilapidated whole. Of course, there was no question of any animation, although there used to be a show with skirts and belly dancing here. It's not like there's animation right now... The tourists were an animation for the staff. There were no plates or forks in the restaurant during the meal. People stood in line, and the staff took out 3 plates and 3 forks each and watched as people rushed to them and laughed. We were shocked, that evening we went to the store, bought ourselves plastic plates (forks from the plane were left)) and we went to a restaurant with them. At least they didn't participate in this circus as clowns. For drinks, there was one water heater that was leaking. He did not have time to heat up, people wanted to pour tea, but there was nothing to pour into. There were no normal mugs, there were disposable cups that were put one in one so as not to get burned... Again, we were saved by our silicone travel cup... Instant coffee was poured into a plate, it ended instantly. So is sugar. Tea is a tea brew poured into a plate. That's all. If you want tea, pour the tea leaves into the water and drink)) There is a separate story with food. There was practically nothing to eat. The eggs were fried in the morning, one at a time. Those who asked for two were refused. They served food at lunch and dinner. They will put one spoonful of mashed potatoes and look - "what, they say, is not enough?" And you're standing on the porch with your hand outstretched to get three spoonfuls of potatoes. Chicken, fish, used to be, too, a piece at a time.
It was only thanks to those who were poisoned in Hurghada, in the second week of our stay, that continuous checks of hotels began in Egypt, and miraculously it turned out that they had enough plates and appliances. And the food in general has become better, and there is more of it. But in the end, my husband and I still lost 3 kg (although you usually gain weight on vacation)) Thank God, at least they didn't get poisoned, although according to reviews in this hotel, it's not surprising to get poisoned.
I can't say anything about alcohol, we didn't drink ourselves, but from what I observed in the bar, they poured as well as fed... Even the child (not ours) refused to pour 2 glasses of Pepsi.
The bus goes to the beach 1 time a day, at 9 am. The bus is a small gazelle type. He goes back and forth three times until he takes everyone. Back at 14 o'clock. And everything. But for $2 you can take a taxi. You can walk (40 minutes)
The rooms were not cleaned in principle. The bed linen was never changed, there were 2 towels (for three). When the room was given, the bed linen was dirty, and there was someone's hair on the pillow. At the reception, they started telling me that it was my hair, although I didn't go there. Well, what kind of tin is that? After complaining to the guide, we were changed to two beds out of 3. (it's good that the child is small, we managed with two beds). Regarding the change of towels, the guide said that in order to change them, you need to bring dirty ones to the reception. What??? But they still gave suspiciously dirty towels, because we also had our own towels with us))), then we survived this. the only thing was that we had to wash the sheets ourselves a couple of times...
And another huge disadvantage is mosquitoes. Where they came from every night is not clear. We bought a fumigator and plates at a local pharmacy - they are of no use. In the large Carrefour supermarket, which you can walk to in half an hour (and in which we bought ourselves food so as not to starve in this hotel) we bought an electric fly swatter and soaked the mosquitoes every evening. And they didn't seem to be there, but at night they swooped in from somewhere and mercilessly gnawed at us (especially the child). I also had to hunt them with a flashlight in the middle of the night. So we haven't had enough sleep there yet)))
I will tell you about the operator separately. Tui. The hotel guide persistently sold us excursions, but we have a three-year-old child and what kind of excursions can there be. But he persuaded us to go to the dolphin show just for the sake of the child. We agreed, because he said that the road was not long. And what is the result? The bus did not arrive on time, and the show itself took place at the other end of the Charm, and while we gathered people from all the hotels, we were brought there half an hour after the start of the show. And it took two hours to get there. That's fine.... not for long at all... So what? - after complaining to the operator, we were offered to go to this show again as compensation. Of course, we refused, because once again to go so far with a small child, it's still a pleasure. So I strongly do not recommend the tui operator either.
In general, it is worth going to Egypt. The sea is beyond competition. The weather is perfect in October and November. The sea is warm, but there is no such heat and stuffiness as in summer and in September. Every evening is a perfect warm summer evening. In general, that's what we were going for. But we have never seen such horror as in this hotel, despite the fact that we usually go to the cheapest hotels. Never set foot there again!
It makes sense to go to this hotel if the price of the trip is minimal. You will leave the difference on excursions, diving and in restaurants with chic cuisine. About Luna 3*.: I was incredibly lucky, clean, albeit old bed linen, a working minibar and a view of the pool. The plaster didn't fall on my head from the walls. The sink seemed to have been cleaned. Breakfast is not bad, for a threesome, lunch and dinner are very modest. Hala Beach, taken by bus, about 10 minutes. A normal sand.
It's just a disgusting hotel. Dirty everywhere, everything is smoky, the food is terrible, instant coffee from all inclusive in disposable cups, meat and fish were given a couple of times, a portion in the photo. Water (unknown) in the cooler near the canteen, wi-fi only near the reception and constantly broke. In the photo, "garden view" (from the description of the hotel). I still can't move away. I have never had such hotels, so I did not know that you can ask for another room and you can change the hotel. The guide did not help in any way.
