The building with a rich and interesting history is an architectural monument and a business card of Lida. It is located within walking distance from the railway and bus stations. Entrance to the territory is paid. In the museum located inside the castle, you can get acquainted with the history of its foundation and construction, as well as the personalities involved. There are thematic expositions in the two towers of the castle, where you can also view household items, paintings and photographs from different years, weapons and armor of knights and much more. The towers are connected by a passage in the upper part of the castle fortress wall, from the height of which you can see the surrounding urban surroundings. In addition, there is a restaurant and an exhibition of weapons on the territory inside the castle (entrance to it is for a fee). There is also a storage room inside at the entrance to the museum, where you can leave things you don't need when visiting. A public toilet and souvenir shops are located outside the castle - this should be taken into account when visiting the museum. In general, it is definitely worth visiting this rather interesting and picturesque place, especially when spectacular events are held - reconstructions of knight fights, etc. (there is even a grandstand with seats for spectators inside).
There are no comments at all. There are a lot of tourists, concerts, fire shows, discos are held on holidays. However, I would like to see jousting tournaments (it was interesting).Very good cuisine in the "Karchma" on the territory of the fortress. The loopholes offer excellent views of the city. Super, in short. And if you also listen to the guide, then it's an incomparable pleasure.
A very cool and interesting castle! We went on an excursion with the class, everyone was especially impressed by the hall with instruments of torture) The guides tell me very interestingly, in general I liked it, but I recommend coming there in the summer, because you can walk around the lake, and another museum inside will be open
I recommend everyone to visit, at least to broaden their horizons))
A great attraction. The lock is in very good condition. There is a great exhibit inside that tells the story of the castle and the lands. There are guided tours and an audio guide. There is a cafe on the castle grounds, but you need to book a table in advance. There is a large free parking next to the castle. Only positive emotions remained from visiting the castle.
The road from Vileika (Minsk region) It took two hours to get to Lida by car. This highway is almost always free, the road is good.
Along the way, you can admire wild animals walking in the field (roe deer, bison).
There are enough parking spaces near the castle, it was quite free (in the courtyard). Next to the castle there is a picturesque pond, a cafe, a paid toilet (the territory is planless/clean, tidy/), souvenir shops work near the entrance. The ticket office is located in the courtyard. For schoolchildren, students, pensioners and those who have any benefits or discounts (do not forget your ID cards).
There are several stickers with QR codes in each room. Click on the link and the audio guide tells you a lot of interesting information. Guided tours are available.
I recommend it to the whole family!
It's a beautiful place. The entire exposition is complemented by an audio guide on the kjar code. Wonderful staff will answer all your questions, tell you what to pay attention to in each of the halls. I liked it very much. It is not crowded, you can consider everything in detail, there are installations in the courtyard, cafes on site, souvenir shops near the entrance.
The castle is very large, beautiful, ancient, it was authentic in 1320, but then it was destroyed, and now it has been restored, and made even more gorgeous and beautiful. You can also book a tour there. Everything cost us 42 rubles, not expensive as for me, there are 3 floors on different topics, there is even a royal toilet. There is a cafe next to the castle, where we ordered salads, cream spinach soup, hodgepodge, burgers with chicken and beef and drink pepsi and myriad, the waitress is very nice, kind, listened to us and correctly wrote down the order and wished us a pleasant appetite, everything is fine, there is also a bottle of water, it tastes good it's kind of metal, but it's washed and thirst is the most important thing, there is also a paid toilet, the office is not broken, the watchman is not rude. In short, everything is fine, I'll attach the photos
A great castle with the opportunity to take pictures with the exhibits. I recommend everyone to get positive emotions, especially children will like it. There is a beautiful lake nearby where you can walk.
A good place to relax. It's a beautiful castle. You can walk along the castle walls, enter the towers. There are museum exhibitions in the castle, you can learn a little about the history of the castle and the city of Lida. Very interesting. There is a well-maintained territory around, a lake, a cafe.
Very cool!) My husband and I really liked it. They conduct excursions there, they tell you very interesting things) there are many zones where you can take pictures and even try on armor for photos) I recommend it!)
The castle is very interesting. It is quite interesting to wander through the halls and rooms. It is clear that the castle has been restored to 90 percent, but a good restoration is absolutely necessary. Of course, you also need to wander around the castle to feel the time.
The castle has been restored. It's interesting to take a guided tour. Guides are great at conveying information and history. There are interesting exhibitions in the towers. There are performances in the castle courtyard in summer. A park with a lake was recreated nearby. There is a parking lot, a souvenir shop.
Great place, learned a lot of new things, delicious food. An excellent guide conducted an exciting tour. You can shoot arrows, catapults, see knights fighting, and dance medieval dances.
It's a very beautiful castle. It is located inside the city along the highway. There are many modern buildings around. But if you go inside the castle, you can't see or hear all this. It's like going back to the Middle Ages. The condition of the castle and the expositions inside is excellent.
A very beautiful and well-maintained place, everything is very clean, there are signs everywhere, interesting exhibits, very friendly staff at the museum, it was nice to be in such an atmosphere. Medieval music is playing in the courtyard from the administration house, it's very funny. A good souvenir shop with reasonable prices. In general, it is a very good impression, it is clear that people are trying, success and prosperity.
It's a very beautiful castle. It can't be compared to Nesvezhsky. Especially the lake from a height in the form of a heart. Very nice girls on each floor tell the story of the castle. Two towers, 4 floors in one place, 6 floors in another. There is a personal guide on each floor. You don't even need a tour.
We took a city guide. We walked around the castle, told a lot of interesting things from the outside. We entered the castle on our own without a guide. The exposure is weak. The caretaker aunts are mostly not friendly and strict. A la it's do not touch, do not go here, look here, but do not look here. The castle is not badly restored, but there is no sense of antiquity. There is an excellent restaurant of Belarusian cuisine on site. I advise you to visit it without fail! And not driving. The number of settings is impressive!
Very atmospheric! A beautiful castle, with historical household items, costumes, armor, weapons. There is even a torture room)) On the downside: there was no cafe on the castle grounds, but I wanted to drink something hot to keep warm. Must-visit)
The castle has been well restored, brings an authentic atmosphere of the Middle Ages. The expositions are well decorated, I really liked the refectory. 4 stars for the fact that it was impossible to try out the torture chamber for a photo and for the souvenir shop that did not open after lunch at 12 o'clock.
A recreated landmark. A small museum of homemade exhibits. A few archaeological finds. With a shortage of attractions in the city, this is a good way to attract tourists.
It was March 1st, it was a bit cold, of course. But the guide is very cool, the aunt was. She told me interesting stories and the jokes were relevant. My wife and friends liked everything. Of course, it's worth visiting such a place, I would like to keep it warm in the summer.
The first stone castle on the territory of Belarus, founded in the 14th century, is the main attraction of the city of Lida. It has been restored, the old masonry has been preserved in places. In the 2 towers available for inspection, there are now museum expositions telling about the history of the creation of the castle and fortifications, the history of the USSR and Belarus. There is a lot of interesting information for those who are interested in history. You can walk along the walls of the castle. If we compare it with the advertised castles in Mir and Nesvizh, then the Lida Castle loses to these two in terms of entertainment. It is better to visit the castle with a guide, it will be more informative. There is a rather cozy cafe inside the castle courtyard, where it is nice to have a snack and relax.
The Historical Museum. I was there in the winter, it turned out to be quite interesting. The room with the instruments of torture was especially impressive. A good location for photos. So there are excursions. And just walk around the castle 12.5 rubles.
The place is magnificent. It is easy to get from Minsk in 3 hours by train. The entrance ticket costs 12p. per person. There are many rooms with interesting exhibits and photo areas inside. In my humble opinion, a more atmospheric place than Nesvizh.
A beautiful castle. There are many expositions, a large courtyard. There is a souvenir shop and a cafe in the courtyard. There are almost always a lot of visitors in the warm season. It's quite a long way from the parking lot.
Super city, super castle! We arrived for the first time at the end of October with our family, ordered a sightseeing tour from Veronica, but did not have time to walk inside the castle. I returned to the company of friends a month later, also a sightseeing tour, we looked at the castle inside! Great expositions, dressed up in armor and stuff! I really liked the tavern! They taught me how to drink tinctures with a magic toast! We will definitely come again!
A beautiful castle, there is a cafe inside, next to the castle there is a mini "city of masters"... There is a small lake nearby, where there are a lot of ducks and there are a couple of swans, fountains are turned on at the lake on weekends)
An interesting castle. It's worth a visit. It has been restored not badly and the exhibits are not bad. You can take pictures everywhere. And we have created quite a few places for this. But the main thing is the city in which it is located! He will definitely not leave indifferent those who have nostalgia for the 80s! The city seems to be stuck in this time. Visit and see for yourself! Words cannot describe it!
Great respect for the work invested in the restoration of the castle, but, unfortunately, there is nothing to see in the castle. Everything is new, a fake fireplace, a throne room with a "European renovation" in the form of modern curtains, "phenomena" on the table, everything seemed inappropriate and boring to me. There is a little bit of masonry from the present, completed with modern bricks. I liked the torture room and was impressed by the costume of the plague doctor. But not the castle.
Our Lida fortress is a wonderful and interesting place to confirm this, I myself organized an excursion for my guests last year and everyone really liked it, and my guests were aged from 70 to 4 years old, although all were Lidians!!!
Well renovated. Of course, he can add more multimedia projects, now it looks very poor due to the large amount of paper information and signatures to the exhibits. Very kind and polite caretakers.
Impressed and absolutely delighted. I advise you to visit.
It's a wonderful place. Very pleasant guides. Each room provides an opportunity to walk and photograph after the tour.
A well-restored castle. Friendly caretakers. It is very convenient that there is an audio guide, but you can also take a guided tour. You can listen to old music on the square. Performances are taking place, but we didn't get there. The story is interesting. There are souvenir tents next to the castle. There is a lot of choice.
Some halls have photo zones, which is atypical for museums, but very pleasant for modern visitors. I think it's worth a visit if you don't necessarily need a large number of historical artifacts in the museum.
Lida Castle was built in 1323 on behalf of Prince Gediminas. A unique museum with interesting exhibits and photo zones. The museum staff is friendly. The caretakers of the halls tell the story of the castle with great love.Almost every room has an interactive stand with a description of the exhibits. There is also a theatrical tour in the museum.
Ingeniously - "In the courtyard [of the First stone castle on the territory of Belarus, founded in the 14th century], medieval music is playing from the administration house ..."
The knight's lists with the reconstruction of knightly battles pleases the eye of a veteran of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation!
I can hear the legendary dialogue in my wild head:
"Have you been to confession today?
If not, then I advise you to go before it's too late.
- I prepared for death.
Get ready, too.
And take my advice: change your spear and switch to a fresh horse."...
It is a very interesting, atmospheric place, of course, the architecture is incomparable with the architecture of the Nesvizh district, but....different historical epochs. The staff is very friendly. Background music complements the overall look and meaning very nicely. I advise you to visit.
There is a lot of realistic architecture left. The foundation foundations and partially the walls themselves have remained since the construction (1523-1528, the time of the foundation of one of the towers). I really liked the girl-the instructor. I remember everything I told you! Thank you very much for the emotions!
An interesting place. It is clear that many new models have already been created, but they are diligently trying to preserve the original source and create the atmosphere of those years. A very good guide is a young man (I'm ashamed to say I don't remember his name) who told me historical facts with humor and interest. There are many photo zones.
We visited the city of Lida this year. I had the most pleasant impressions of the city, the infrastructure and the visit to the Lida Castle. I definitely recommend it to everyone. The castle has been restored, everything is very informative. It's a pity we didn't make it to the jousting tournament. The guests are treated with reverence, they try to satisfy all desires and requests to the maximum. I had just a situation that, at first glance, was insoluble, but help came in the person of the director of the castle, Anna Todeushevna. I quickly sorted everything out, decided, and helped. I consider her the Guardian Angel of this place. A low bow to her. And what a Kumpyak tavern on the castle grounds. Just keep in mind that it works from Friday to Sunday. The cuisine, the serving, the variety of dishes and drinks are beyond praise, the gastronomic delight. Yes, it's not exactly cheap, but it's a piece institution. Stop, have lunch, among the centuries-old walls of the castle, think about the obscenity of life, raise a cup to the founder of the castle Gedemin and just have a good time.
The castle is located on the territory of the city of Lida. In principle, these are fortress walls relatively small around the perimeter and two towers in which you can see something. Interesting things: you can put on armor, helmet, pick up a sword and shield and take a picture. In general, you can visit once.
The castle looks great from the outside. There's not much to see on the castle grounds, but there's a lot to see inside the castle itself. I recommend it to everyone, we liked it)
In a small town on the way to Grodno there is an old Lithuanian fortress, not a castle. It is kept clean and tidy! There is a museum inside, the entrance is inexpensive.
The castle is like a castle!
They wanted to get into the courtyard, but it turned out to be paid.
Please tell me, what is the money to pay for? For a large empty area of paving stones?
It's one thing when money is taken for climbing to the observation deck, walking along the walls of the castle / Kremlin, for a museum.
And here, what should I pay for? For entering the only building on the castle grounds - a restaurant?!
People, DO NOT WASTE TIME ON IT, but rather go on an excursion to the museum of the Lida Brewery in the same town!!! Much more interesting!
P.s. Cards are NOT accepted in souvenir shops in front of the castle! If you want a magnet/souvenir, come with cash. The only ATM near souvenirs, rips off the card at a FRANTIC rate! Unfortunately, we realized this too late. 😒
A very cool historical place, polite staff who are ready to tell you more about the castle and the history of the region. Tickets are inexpensive - for a nominal fee you will plunge into history.
It's a very atmospheric place. The castle is not big, compared to Mirsky and Nesvizh, but it also has a rich history. The castle has collections of weapons and household items.
