We were very warmly welcomed at the hotel. We were completely alone because we arrived during the rainy season.
The hotel is small, located in a village, in the jungle. There is a bad road to the nearest beach, we went by tuk tuk to the territory of Aralia beach, where everything is well-maintained and decent.
Levels has the atmosphere of a good three-star hotel, but not like a five-star one.
Breakfasts consist of only eggs, unfortunately, the best "Avocado toast", but they quickly stopped serving it to us, they said that it simply did not exist 😂
We tried to eat something else, but we quickly got bored with the egg collection.
The dinners on the menu are mostly very spicy! 🌶️
When we begged for something not spicy, the guys were very surprised, because it doesn't taste good without curry.
Several evenings in a row, between 22:00 and 23:00, someone broke in to us. That is, not someone made the wrong door, I repeat, we were alone as guests, the rest were staff and mostly men, so there were attempts to get to two women in the room.
In the evening of one day we arrived after the tour, I lathered up and all the water was gone. Do you remember the scene from "12 chairs"? Where the engineer lathered up and ran into the entrance with one washcloth in the causal place to call the janitor. That's the way I am! She lathered up, then tried to call the reception desk in every possible way, then somehow dried herself and went down to the counter itself. The darkness is not Egyptian, but truly Lankan. It's 21:40, and there's no one in the hotel. Just an empty counter and a closed hotel 😂
In the morning, we approached the boy at the reception and asked the question "What happened and why was there no water?" Who's breaking in on us? " The boy, although very smiling, changed his face and said that someone was checking something and in general he did not understand English well, in general they could not help us.
The bathroom was completely and irrevocably broken, upon arrival, I had to wipe the dust in the closet, because I did not want to put clean things in the dirt.
You ask to clean the room and take out the trash -they do it on request.
If you ask for additional hangers or tea, they bring it.
In general, everyone tries very hard as much as they can.
But the hotel is patchy. It looks amazing in the pictures in the Booking, but in fact everything is large and a dirty pool. Of course, there will be people who will say that it's just "Wow! A cannon bomb!"
I hope that in the future the hotel will look really great, that they will diversify the breakfasts and add more simple food, without Karkari.
If it is possible to go to another hotel, then go to another hotel. Here the cost is $ 130-150 per night, supposedly five stars, but in fact a terrifying impression and shock.
A pleasant hotel and very close to a beautiful beach , it is quiet here away from the noisy streets and tourist unawatuna , delicious food , clean , pleasant , but boring for a couple of days only if , a beautiful view of Galle and sunset
I read a lot of reviews about this hotel, both positive and negative, so when I flew to Sri, I no longer knew what was waiting for me.
But! Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
In my opinion, it is a wonderful hotel (in a secluded place).
Always friendly and friendly staff, good breakfasts (if necessary, they will collect delicious lunch boxes for you). A clean pool, there are a lot of animals and birds around, which you can watch even from your balcony. Yes, there are small joints in the repair (but you're not going to hang out in the room from morning to night?!).
The room has a clean bed, towels (if necessary, they will be replaced without problems), hot water, air conditioning and a TV with youtube running (for those who miss Russian music). There were very few mosquitoes (in mid-March).
Jaglebeach is a 10-minute walk (leisurely).
A tuk-tuk will take you to the tourist street without any problems (the main thing is to find a good one, so as not to bend the price, for having to go uphill). We found one! And he drove us everywhere for all 9 days.
I recommend it for those who don't need a fuss.
