We visited the world-famous Opera and Ballet Theater in Milan with my wife. The building is actually not that big, but as the guide said, it has excellent acoustics. The stalls are quite small. But there are several tiers of individual boxes on three sides. Previously, each family had its own lodge. A very interesting museum of the history of the theater and the ballerinas who danced on this stage.

We visited the theater museum at one time, and visited the gallery during the performance. It's just standing there. But the sea is full of people. We were lucky to get tickets on the day of the performance, for 16 or 30 euros. But the performance itself was still unusual for us in the 20th year. They're gone. But the theater itself is impressive.

The theater is number one in terms of sound. Previously, there was a dress code - everyone had to wear black. But now, full democracy. In dirty shoes, T-shirts, torn jeans, Evropeans are considered high art, there were a couple dozen people in a tie for the whole theater, so feel free to go in flip-flops- they will immediately take you for their own. I was wearing a tuxedo and everyone looked at me like I was Russian...

In the theater, there is a convenient designation of tiers in the auditorium, which is important when buying tickets, i.e. stalls and tiers with boxes. Tier - ordine - 1st, 2nd, etc. up. But, in my opinion, you can only watch from the 1st row so that you can see the scene. There are 2 seats in the rows of boxes, the chairs of the 1st row are located not facing the stage, but opposite each other, i.e. sideways to the stage. It turns out that in the side boxes on half of the seats you even sit with your back to the stage, it is unclear... But the 2nd row sits behind the first one and it's worse to see there. The 3rd row, I suppose, only comes to listen. An additional inconvenience of 2-3 rows is that there is a wall up to the ceiling between the boxes. Unlike the Russian Bolshoi Theatre, where the boxes are separated by a low barrier, this wall also blocks some of the visibility. And no bonus sofas for you in the boxes, there's a door right behind the 3rd row. Plus, the shape of the hall is very "horseshoe", the sides are very long and straight, you can roll your neck on the sides. And the lighting is very dim everywhere except for the buffet and the main foyer. Programs are given out for free, booklets - for money. I recommend going to the opera, because ballet at La Scala is the level of the dance club of the house of culture. Unless the guest stars are worth going to the ballet. I went to the Bayadere with Kimin Kim, he looked perfect against the background of the locals. But he's already the best. It's just that the contrast in the classroom is impressive.

It's a great opera house, it's a pity we couldn't get to the opera, we were at the Philharmonic. I liked the interior, the sound and the friendly Italians.

The Opera and Ballet Theater is the Pearl of Milan! Convenient location in the city center, the performance starts at 20-00, there is a buffet on the 1st floor in the lobby! There is also a large buffet between the 2nd and 3rd tiers! The seats were on the 1st floor, there is a separate dressing room! The theater has excellent acoustics, not all seats are comfortable, when buying tickets online you can see what kind of overview from the intended location, because the auditorium is built in the form of a horseshoe, the stage is not always visible entirely from the balconies

We went on an excursion, without visiting the theater itself. Of course, it cannot be compared with our bolshoi theater, but it is very atmospheric in Italian. Next time we will try to get to the performance, it is possible that there will be other emotions.

A divine place, almost without flaws (you can remember how much Toscanini worked on this theater). The museum right in La Scala is beautiful, I advise you to visit it together with some production unknown to you.

We have been looking for the Lasala theater for a long time. I thought it was like our Bolshoi Theatre. It turned out to be a district club. Found. I was not impressed.

Within walking distance from Milan Cathedral and galleries. There is a completely inconspicuous building outside, at first we did not even realize that this is the famous La Scala! They didn't get inside.

An inconspicuous building from the outside and majestic inside. In the summer season, they work for tourists, so all opera supplies are perceived without much admiration. I won't even talk about ballet.

Milan's La Scala is one of the most elegant opera houses in Europe, filled with noble laconism in the exquisite antique aesthetics of neoclassicism. The rock attracts with its rich historical heritage and the status of the best opera house in Italy. However, over the past 10 years, a deep performing crisis has gradually displaced the Milan opera house from the theatrical avant-garde of Europe, retaining only the purely formal title of a tourist mecca. The same fate befell the Vienna Opera. The lack of decent Italian singers and financial problems forcing the engagement of mediocre soloists have long deprived the Rock of attractiveness for connoisseurs of high-quality vocals. Even the seasonal premieres and the famous inaugural performances on December 7, which open the theatrical season, cannot offer first-class singers. However, every true admirer of opera art is obliged to visit the Rock, immerse himself in its legendary atmosphere, feel its acoustics - his breath, which still preserves the distant echo of the voices of the greatest singers who performed on the Milan stage.

Well, very uncomfortable seats in the boxes, even in the first row! But otherwise everything is fine: both the performers and the proseco during the intermission

The interior is very beautiful, but the facade of the building looks very unfriendly. It's hard to tell from the street that this is a world-renowned theater.

Every evening at 17.00 you can buy social tickets to the gallery for 11 euros. The queue for tickets gathers to the left of the theater in the gallery.
