I always buy Memet Efendi coffee here when I visit Istanbul. The aroma of coffee can be felt from a block away, so you can unmistakably find a place where you can buy it. There is always a queue that moves fast enough.
It's an atmospheric place, but the coffee sucks.
I also fell for the atmosphere and got in line and collected 4 packages of 250 grams each.. Well, to give it to everyone. For gifts.
At the airport, everyone probably sniffed, the smell was simply amazing, there was a clear aroma throughout the hall, well, I think the gifts were a success. But no, the Turks did a trick here too.
The coffee is empty and weak. You can cook in a turk or in a horn coffee maker. Very mild taste.
250 grams cost 165 lire, 05.01.2025.
The gifts failed (after all, they gave one package and immediately removed the sample), they did not give it further, so as not to tell tales about the "specials. Istanbul grinding and roasting")))
I don't recommend it to anyone. Pass by. There is no good and delicious coffee there. And don't read fairy tales written to reassure you that this is good coffee. It's a fast-paced coffee.
