The colorful Khizi Mountains, or as they are also called the Lollipop Mountains, are a unique natural formation that attracts tourists with its bright and diverse colors. These mountains were formed millions of years ago as a result of geological processes associated with sedimentary rocks and tectonic movements of the earth's crust. The variety of colors is due to the presence of various minerals such as iron, copper and manganese, which creates an impressive effect of natural mosaic.
The landscapes are truly beautiful, reminiscent of Mars in Altai - wonderful red and brown shades are created by deposits of manganese and iron in these mountains. The road is excellent, no extreme, very accessible location near Baku
