In the summer of 2024, the cat had his first attack of suffocation due to pulmonary edema. At first, they were observed in another clinic, where they correctly determined that it was the heart, but their treatment for 2.5 months did not bring results: the cat suffered daily from lack of air, breathed frequently, was passive, the X-ray showed the presence of edema (just less than it was), their specialist convinced that everything was fine and did not change treatment... it was a terrible time, seeing the suffering of the cat, it seemed to me that the only way out was euthanasia. Against the background of sleepless nights and worries, the owners' health deteriorated.
We accidentally went to the "Cat and Whale", where for 1 visit (they came with general and biochemical blood tests, X-rays, ultrasound of the heart) Ekaterina Makarenko selected a treatment regimen, with the help of which they brought the cat to a normal breathing rate in about half a month or a month (the swelling of the lungs went away). We continue to observe her (spring 2025)
