Probably this cosmodrome was built back in Soviet times, and now only updates are underway, the union has collapsed in general, and how to get there is not always clear

It's a wonderful little town. People are kind and helpful . There are a lot of shops . They are not allowed into the city of Baikonur itself,6 as it is a closed city, but people who have good food and household supplies live nearby.
I was very cool, I saw a rocket take off not far away, I don't remember how long ago it was, but I really liked it very much, it was beautiful, colorful, everything was super
Very cool! A childhood dream has come true. You can't get there without a special pass. You can observe the launch near Baikonur. Unfortunately, the lease of the cosmodrome will end in 2050 (
If you want to get there, register in advance, both in the star city where there are hotels, cafes, and on Baikonur itself.
So, if you want to fly from the highway to Baikonur hotel, etc... It won't work.
If you got in at night, like us, without the Internet and no idea where to sleep.
Go to the railway station, there is a hotel at the station. You can sleep...
One of the best places on earth, the gateway to space. Every time you start, your heart stops. I recommend everyone to visit both the cosmodrome and the city itself, which was once Leninsky. Good luck to everyone)
The wonderful legacy of the USSR. The history of cosmonautics firsthand. The scale of the cosmodrome is breathtaking. To see the launch live is an indescribable feeling. I advise you to visit.
A cosmic place! I was at the launch of the Soyuz 2.1a launch vehicle with the Soyuz MS-26 manned module.
There are many platforms, several launch tables, including active ones.
You won't even see thorns passing by, let alone shrubs and trees. The place is deserted. Perhaps the Aral Sea dried up for a reason!

The city of childhood! A small, distant city. Syrdarya River, cosmodrome, motor vehicles. Ice cream at Luna Cafe. Market. Motor vehicles. Recreation Center of Officers and Children's World. Lenin Square and demonstrations on May 1. Cosmonauts Alley. 1st Music School. Stop with Stella Leninsk. The CarMan concert. The School of Ten. 6th mkr, 5th and 5th. Stadium. The concert of the band Tender May. Mriya and Ruslan. Tulips in the steppe and scorpions. Big-eared hedgehogs and jerboa. It's a great time. I miss.
He served at Baikonur 1984-86, 31-32 site, reserve start, training, then 1.5 years 18 site, this is where the entire Politburo sat opposite the 2nd site Gagarin start. Impressions for a lifetime. The most beautiful thing is the night starts, the Baikonur tulips and the black abyss (sky) overhead.
It's a beautiful place, especially in April, when the tulips are in bloom. I was there when the satellite city was called Leninsk, and the rockets flew away from the first site. I saw the launch from a distance of 200-250 meters. It's an unforgettable feeling, you can't get that from an observation deck for money. In total, I managed to see and launch more than 40 aircraft. There was a time! The photos were in black and white, there were no others then.
My favorite city, it's about him. There is an oasis among the dunes and camel thorn, where the path to the distant stars once began. There are many monuments and significant places.
It's strange how you can write a review for a cosmodrome. This is something global that does not give in to emotions and impressions - this is really space. From the Gagarin launch, you're just thrilled that our cosmonauts and scientists were there. And when the cargo is launched, the steppe is tearing up from the noise of the engines and you feel not just like a little man - but a micron in all this being.
It's not a bad stop, it's a pity that social cards don't work and it's a little motion sickness. And at the end of the train, I actually threw up. The only good thing is that it follows an express train to the ISS. I'm really looking forward to opening the route to the moon. I hope you will take into account the mistakes and make a discounted fare.
History, the present and, hopefully, the future of mankind)
It is important that someone tells you where everything is when visiting. Because the details of this place only make sense in the context of the story.
The start of the Union is awesome!

Very informative. When planning a trip, it should be taken into account that the distance between all the interesting places is about 40 minutes, you will not be able to visit everything in one day.
it flies well, I recommend it. there are no heavy loads, the start is smooth, almost does not feel, everything is fine, only sometimes it shakes, but on the whole it is good. thank you for the flights, I recommend it to everyone!
A great place to fly into space. There are tours to the cosmodrome. The launch of the manned module can be observed. There is a real opportunity to talk with astronauts at the press conference
This is my Homeland!!! But unfortunately, the cosmodrome is currently far from the cosmodrome that it used to be. Slowly, the city of Leninsk is being turned into ruins, infrastructure is not being developed.
I visited the cosmodrome several times. The scope set back in Soviet times is impressive. Of course, a lot of things were not saved, but the launch of the rocket is always confusing.
I spent my entire childhood there, and I have a lot of memories. They studied at school and took us to the cosmodrome to watch the rocket launch, it's very beautiful
