Wonderful sea, beautiful nature. The boarding house is price-quality compliant. I like everything, we visit often, I came and felt a little bit like a child. The buildings were built back in the 60s, but the furniture is clean and good. The food in the dining room is dietary, monotonous, but it does not affect the rest. The market, fruit stalls nearby, if necessary, I love Pitsunda and its famous pines and everything is not finished if they happen to fall into second place. I recommend it to the older generation .
Well, it's normal, I really liked to relax on the beach, the sea is clean, sun beds are issued by cards (you need to go in the morning to take)
But there are disadvantages
The food is monotonous, honestly, the food did not go very far, we ate a Sail in the dining room. Mom's dining room looks unrefined, old, loud Caucasian music is playing, there is no air conditioning, it's stuffy
The lights and water were often turned off, and the room was shabby.
Honest opinion 5/10
I held sports and creative training camps in Abkhazia for the first time. For many years we have been traveling to Bulgaria, Montenegro, Tunisia and the Moscow region.
I will share my opinion, perhaps it will be useful for future tourists!
The impressions are different, but in general the expected accommodation is the exact opposite of the desired one: we lived from the 2nd floor to the 14th floor. Since February, a request and floor plans for the resettlement of children have been sent through the travel agency on several occasions. Completely ignored.
And these are issues of child safety and the convenience of organizing children's stay at sea. There were further relocations due to unsuitable conditions in some of the lower rooms (the smell of sewage, mold). The first days we just survived without water, no one provided it. Although, for example, there were accidents in Bulgaria too, but huge cans of clean water were promptly brought to vacationers. Nobody cares here...
The hotel is very close to the sea, it's wonderful However, there are no rescuers anywhere. The views from the windows are amazing!✨
The rooms, as stated, but the 3 categories were different (not all even had a closet and there was simply no place to store them). 1 category is good, but still for 2 people.
The air conditioners are all working, they saved the electronic keys, but 1 piece for all living in the room (inconvenient). Wi-Fi worked super well in all buildings, otherwise it is expensive🙃
The staff is very old, the service and conditions are very average (cleaning is incomplete, irregular, you have to take out the garbage yourself, towels are only small, there are no hygiene supplies, except for a bar of soap and sometimes you had to ask)
The food is primitive (everything is on highly diluted powdered milk, chicken has only bone "backs", there was never any whole meat), but it is full-fledged (I liked soups, a lot of vegetables). There were no seasonal fruits, we bought them ourselves
The sea, nature and climate are excellent! Overshadowed all the inconveniences that my tourists have already managed to get used to on numerous other trips! It was possible to protect children from infections💪🏻 This is a special pride!
We had a rest this year in Colchis and faced the rudeness of the cleaner. An excellent administrator, without any problems, because it is not the first year that we have been traveling to the defense industry. The TV didn't work in our room with the child for two weeks, the wires were just hanging. Put a mini broom and a dustpan in the rooms already, there are modern ones now. Because you can't get away from fine sand and pebbles. In two weeks, we have never had our bed changed, although it should be changed once a week. When we lived in Amzar that year, there were no such problems. I don't see any point in paying for first-class rooms if they don't pull for them.
The only plus is the clear sea and few people, no one walks over each other's heads on the beach. And the boarding house is all old, well, that's okay, but dirt is terrible. When I checked into the room after cleaning, the question arises, but how was it before. The pallet is dirty, the grate is clogged with hair, probably from the tourists the year before last. The toothbrush cups haven't been used for as long. The bed was broken on one side, the bedclothes were stained with incomprehensible spots, mold peeked through the wallpaper in black spots. Mold is everywhere and the smell of mold is terrible. They were fed like in the most terrible Soviet canteen. Porridge on water, soups are not clear at all, grated raw carrots and beets, cabbage, bread cutlets, they are meatballs, they are meatballs. Rice, boiled buckwheat, naturally without oil, pasta. Stewed cabbage, fried pollock. Drinks boiling water, tea leaves, coffee from a jar were sold 20 years ago, once they gave tangerine compote, well, apparently some kind of powder was diluted with water and that's it. Well, in general, I do not recommend this particular boarding house
The nature and location of the hotel are just great. Linen does not change, bathrooms are cleaned without chemicals. The smell in the room is sewage. Saving on everything
The room of the first category, the most expensive, turned out to have two single beds and beds, with old mattresses. The pillow turned out to be from the last century, a feather pillow.... The dining room sucks! I even lost weight on vacation, because only, to my taste, the soups were edible. There wasn't even a proper tea. There was a titan with tea, in which the tea leaves were not changed.... Among the advantages: a balcony overlooking the sea, the sea itself and pine trees to the sky....
Colchis is something....
The linen is changed only when you ask, but not before a week. Cleaning is carried out irregularly and bluntly.... The rooms are terribly dirty, the dust is centuries-old everywhere, the curtain in the bathroom is black with mold, all plumbing is in a raid. After 9 days, she finally asked to change the linen and towels. The linen was brought, with the words here, change it yourself, and I will change only the small towels, because there are not enough baths.... Clean linen also leaves much to be desired: even washed, it is all stained🤦♀️
The food is so-so: monotonous side dishes and meat, few vegetables (only cabbage in 3 types), half fruits are silent: for 12 days there were oranges a couple of times and apples for 4 days. The oranges are great, the apples are all crumpled, unsightly. It is unclear why it was necessary to cut them, because they darken a lot. From the good: there were always 2 types of porridge for breakfast and dinner, and 2 types of soups + broth. The soups are delicious.
We were accompanying a children's camp, so there was no way to move to another place, but if it were possible, we would have moved out. Only the magnificent nature, the purest sea and dolphins smoothed out the disgust of staying there. Abkhazia is a beautiful country, good people. But public boarding houses are something. They say that the situation is still better in private hotels. I hope to be able to live in a more pleasant place on my next visit.
Everything is fine, the sea is gorgeous, except for the maid staff in Colchis. Cleaning during the entire stay in the building consists in the disposal of garbage. The comments that, at least once every three or four days, wipe the floors are answered with rudeness. But we come for the sea and nature, so we can wipe the floors themselves and pour chlorine glasses into the toilet)
I have only wonderful memories of this place. Special flavor, nature, pine trees, sea, atmosphere... Personally, I feel good there and I want to return.
the sea is clean and the nature is fabulously beautiful. The air is marine and pine. That 's the only reason to come here . service and food wants to leave the best.
There are many disadvantages. Civilization is very far behind modern times, maids are a separate story! They are very lazy!!! Sinks, toilets and showers were not washed at all for 13 days..... Only the floors were washed..... The sea has blocked everything!!! The sea is excellent!!! Three meals a day!
You can only come here for the sake of the sea. The food is ugly. The hulls are tired. Electricity is turned off during the day for several hours. The elevator is not working at this time. We paid for a room of the 1st category, settled for 1 day in a room with a toilet on the floor.
The best sea, clean as a mirror, the rest of the room is very poorly cleaned, dirt under the bed, in the shower there is a curtain with mold and the ceiling.
