From Pattaya, a minivan took us to a ferry in 4 hours with 1 stop for 30 minutes. We took a ferry to the island in 30 minutes, took a minivan to the ferry, got off there, took a walk, took pictures, and that's it, we've already arrived. It took 10 minutes to get to the first hotel on the list, and 20 minutes to get to our Koh Chang resort hotel. They settled us right away. According to the tour, we booked a room in a 4-storey building with an elevator. The rooms are very old, but everything worked, towels and bed linen are fresh and clean. Breakfast is on coupons, everything is standard vegetables, sliced fruits, scrambled eggs, omelet and rice, noodles, sausages, etc. Coffee, tea, juice.
The beach is gorgeous, the water is clear, the sand is smooth, and the entrance to the water is smooth. There are not many vacationers in the hotel, there are sun beds, but few, they occupy the beach in the morning. Sand flies live on the beach, they are virtually absent during the day, but at sunset... Use repellents in pharmacies and stores, they are available, buy a small bottle and do not forget to use it!
All the vacationers complained of bites at the time of our arrival at the hotel.
They say they used to spray the beach and hotel areas from insects, but now ...

only sand flies can bite on the beaches of Thailand. In Thai, they are called "rin nam-khem", which translates as "sea midge" or "saltwater midge". In Russian, sand flies are called real woodlice, they belong to the genus Culicoides.
Sandfly bites are unlike burns from plankton. Tropical flies bite into the skin and secrete a special toxin with saliva. There is a clear bite mark, similar to a micro-hole. At first, the bite is invisible, it only itches a little. Then a red spot appears with a bubble of liquid at the bite site. After a few hours, the red spot spreads and hardens. Over time, the bubble turns into an uneven blister, similar to a crater. Sometimes it reaches the size of a 10-baht coin. The plaques can burst, lymph flows out of them, and then they inflate again. This is how the body fights the poison. Without treatment, the bites take a long time, sometimes up to 1-2 months.

Also, in the shade under the canopy, there are a few sun beds by the pool, it is clean and cool.
Massage on the beach is excellent, the price is like on the street. There are grocery stores, pharmacies and cafes near the hotel in 5-10 minutes on foot, the food is delicious, not expensive. In the evenings, there are shows in neighboring hotels, and the passage is free.
Not far from the hotel, there is bike rental, 300 baht / day, if you take more power for two, you need a copy of your passport and a deposit of 3,000 baht.
Traffic on the roads is calm, so you can ride around the island on your own, feed the elephants, they are standing in a pen by the road, see other beaches,waterfalls (2 km from the nearest one) entrance is 200 baht / person, put the bike in the parking lot and walk 600 meters along a mountainous path to the waterfall, and in the same way the way you come back.
In general, the hotel is not bad, many tourists have been booking rooms here for five years on their own, and they live for 20 days....
The day before the end of our 13-day tour, we were picked up from the Koh Chang hotel at 14.00, quite conveniently, at 12.00 we check in rooms, leave things at the reception and calmly catch up with a couple a few hours on the island. You can also transfer back to Pattaya. We drove back an hour longer because there were traffic jams during the day.

I liked everything.The beach bar is expensive, but the cocktails are great.take a remedy for mascots.The rooms are not new.everything works, the mattresses are excellent, the beds are soft, the linen is snow-white.The breakfasts are monotonous, but you won't stay hungry.

It's perfect, it's a mega-cool hotel, I probably haven't seen a better one yet, it's just perfectly fantastic right at all. Well, it's true that there is no separate children's pool, but it seems to me that there could be a five.
