There are a lot of tourists, I think the entrance fee is too high, but I really liked the lake nearby. We were enjoying the coolness in the morning when the local monks came up to us and offered to feed themselves and the fish with subsidence. There's an entire pond full of red carp, and a huge monitor lizard is roaming along the shore. You can walk the entire lake in an hour +~. We walked because we were killing time before the visa application center opened.

A place of worship in Sri Lanka is a complex of temples in the most revered of which a Buddhist relic is kept - the tooth of the Buddha, left after the cremation of Buddha Shakyamuni.
There is a large space, besides the most ancient temple with a relic, there is a museum. The tooth itself can be seen only a few times a year. But the place is very interesting and you can take spectacular photos.
Admission is paid for foreigners. You can make offerings in the form of lotuses - which are sold at the entrance.
I recommend sitting in silence for a while in front of the entrance to the ancient temple. It's soothing.

To visit, you need to close your knees, I had to buy a rag, go inside barefoot on a hot tile, there is nothing interesting inside. For Buddhists, the place is well-known, the rest have nothing to do. I won't go a second time, and I didn't need the first one either.

Beauty is not ordinary . We rented a car and went on the road. Entrance is paid but not expensive . you can only get into the territory with your legs covered, so wear trousers. There are a lot of museums on the territory, everything is included in the entrance fee.
