A Shinto shrine dedicated to the memory of Emperor Meiji. There is a huge shady park with tall century-old trees all around. A local tradition is to visit the temple on New Year's Day and make a wish here. Apparently, such wishes come true, because on January 1, there are just a lot of people on the territory of the temple.

For us, this temple is remembered not as the Meiji Temple, but as a huge park complex of cicadas. When you enter it, you stop hearing the city, you even stop hearing yourself in places, the deafening roar of cicadas is heard from all sides. They seem to be sitting on you, and in droves. And you rush forward. All the internal spaces of the park near the temple spiritualize, instill peace, adjust your worldview to the right favorable wave, you are imbued with Shintoism, this teaching of polytheism, but for me it is rather the teaching of affinity with nature in all its diversity, hence polytheism. Of course, the way the life of an ordinary Japanese person is built around rituals that are maximally accessible to everyone is impressive. And I also want to get into it, to touch the local culture. And he can start living the same way...

A wonderful park with a temple. It is convenient to get to the metro station, then 5-7 minutes on foot. A large area with century-old trees, like in a forest with convenient paths, there are toilets, cafes, souvenirs, the temple complex itself is not large, you can lay 1.5-2 hours for a quiet inspection of everything. There are a very decent number of people, admission is free

A very large Shinto temple, active. There are a lot of people here, but, and this is important, unlike many other temples, there was no queue for notes and prophecies by numbers. You'll see, if you "tick off" these cases here, then you'll be freer and happier. Unless, of course, you want to leave a note in every temple and tell fortunes on every box with numbers. I hope that almost everything that people have written addressing the gods will come true.

A wonderful place where you can relax your soul, very calm, souvenirs and amulets are sold. I have been 4 times, I will definitely come again. You can make a wish at the altar or write your petition on a tablet with kami.

A great place to take a walk and get acquainted with their history. Beautiful nature. The temple is also located in the city center next to the famous Harajuku Street.

It's a little boring. It's a long walk to this temple and in the end a large standard temple. I liked the wine warehouse and the collection of bansays on the way.

One of the most popular temples in Japan. People come here to ask for fulfillment of desires, to buy a charm for a year, to return the old charm. There is a large park of trees and the air is saturated with the smells of trees. It is always cool here in hot weather. It is necessary to pass through three gates before approaching the temple. But first, in front of the third gate, there will be a washbasin on the left. It is necessary to collect water from the stream with a ladle, pour it on the left hand, then changing the ladle to the other hand, wash the right one, drink a sip of water from your left palm and wash the handle of the ladle with the remnants of water from the ladle, tipping the ladle over. Approaching the sanctuary, you need to throw a coin into a wooden box, bow twice, clap twice in the palm of your hand, silently ask for a secret wish and bow again. Next to the temple, you can buy amulets and a wooden plaque, writing a wish on it at the present time, hang it next to other wishes and wait for fulfillment!
