The Hakone area is part of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, which stretches from the foot of Mount Fujiyama to the Pacific coast of the Izu Peninsula.
Japanese people like to relax in Hakone.
There is a beautiful mountain lake Ashi. It is surrounded by wonderful nature, wonderful views of Mount Fujiyama.
There is an open-air Sculpture Park nearby, as well as many hot sulfur springs.
