An oasis of history in the middle of the steppe:
If you want to touch the history of Central Asia, then be sure to visit the Caravanserai in Turkestan! This is not just a resting place for travelers of the past – it is a whole complex of ancient buildings with the atmosphere of the medieval east.
What I particularly liked:
- Unique architecture: carved doors, stone and wood patterns are amazing.
- The museum exposition tells about the history of the Great Silk Road and the traditions of the region.
- Beautiful grounds with shaded gardens, where you can relax from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The caravanserai is an ideal choice for those who want to learn more about the culture of Kazakhstan and feel like a traveler along ancient caravan routes. I recommend it to all lovers of historical sites and beautiful landscapes!
Delicious pilaf and excellent cold lemonade. Very tasty tea. The service is friendly, but as everywhere in the East it is unhurried) but overall I am happy with the visit.
A place where you can just walk and take a walk, but it doesn't arouse much interest. Shops and trading houses, a boat is too expensive, ice cream too. It's so beautiful, that's all.
The atmosphere is good, the food is delicious, the staff is very good! There are bakeries, dental, eye doctors, cosmetologists, beauty salons, and a grocery store.Anything per capita 😘
The prices are of course terribly expensive. To ride gondolas in a family of four, two children and two adults need to pay 17,000. where does a mere mortal have such an opportunity?
