I recommend. The northernmost (best part) Patong. The beach is interesting. Fine sand and large rocks (mini-rocks). Swimming is convenient. The water is blue and clear, even at depth. There is a cafe nearby, everything is very tasty, cooked at a fairly good level and, in comparison with other places, cheap. From the cafe, Wi-Fi catches almost all over the beach...! Use...!
Very cool, small beach in the north of Patong. It's not shallow, you go into the water and dive fast enough. No need to walk knee-deep for 50 meters. Despite the fact that the beach is small, it is very picturesque. Small rocks form several entrances to the sea and divide the beach into parts. At the moment of maximum tide, some of them hide under water. You can observe a fairly active life, starting with small crabs on the rocks and ending with a variety of small fish. It's not very crowded, especially in the mornings.
Suitable for daily use.
I recommend
There is coarse sand on this beach, the sea is clean, calm, transparent. As a rule, there are much fewer vacationers, since everyone is relaxing on Patong (but there, fine sand mixes near the shore and a fine suspension of sand and water rises at the entrance and seems opaque and dirty, which is not present on Kalim). There is a small stretch of coastline and a lot of large stones, which are almost all under the treetops. Most often I came in the morning and there was always a smooth surface at sea, you could swim even at great depth and see the seabed.
