We came in by chance and were satisfied. Austere and atmospheric. Hookah, tea, backgammon. Friendly staff. Most of the visitors were local men, but it was just the two of us and my girlfriend, and everything was safe.
It's probably also important that we weren't cheated on the bill.
The cafe is not bad, the food is delicious, but it is expensive, although it is considered acceptable for a tourist area. If you take Turkish tea, keep in mind that it is expensive. A glass of tea costs from 30 to 40 lira. And the glasses are served there even less than the standard Turkish.
