Nice hotel, excellent service and staff. The breakfast is not bad. You can't think of a better location for a tourist trip, you can immediately go to the Galataport promenade, and there are all the restaurants and shops.
It is located in the Asian part of the city, about a kilometer from Sofia and is surrounded by a huge number of small shops selling fake branded junk.
The hotel was being demolished. The standard rooms are very small, the interior and furniture need updating. The breakfast is good. I will not go to this hotel again.
The hotel is positioned as a Five-Star, but in general "pulls" on a solid "Four".
From the point of view of rooms, halls and other surroundings, everything is fine.
However, the service leaves much to be desired - everything is super long, it concerns reception, restaurant, room cleaning - my room was cleaned around 15:30-16:00.
Breakfast is good, but coffee is not made from the machine - only "cask" with pronounced acidity. That is, "for an amateur."
The restaurant serves excellent lunches and dinners, is included in the Michelin list 2023. I recommend taking meat dishes. They're good here.
The excellent location of the hotel allows you to walk along the Galotaport at any time, there is a chic Octo restaurant with panoramic views of the Bosphorus, you did not have time to visit the spa, but there is also

Marriott doesn't have breakfast tastes. There is no brush in the toilet. The rooms themselves are not bad, but they cheated with free parking - it is paid. The staff speaks excellent English. The restaurant upstairs with a view of the Bosphorus on Michelin does not definitely pull - it is expensive and usually, and the portions are small.
In general, you can stay for a day, but no more.
The environment in which I constantly musafir. In a word, a wonderful accommodation is an environment of rest and desarz. It would be unfair not to recommend it for such a place.
THIS IS A TIN!!! These are real 3 stars!!! We took a room with a Jacuzzi and a terrace. The terrace is dirty, old, dead - the Jacuzzi does not work! A view of the slums and the construction site!
In the room, the audibility of everyone who walks along the corridors. The breakfast is terrible! There's nothing to eat! The pastries are stale! Tea with the smell of coffee. Everything is tasteless, squalid. Everyone is smiling broadly and everyone is hiding all the problems of the hotel. There is a stale smell in the room, the chemical air freshener in the hotel works all the time to hide the stale.
JW Marriott Istanbul Bosphorus welcomes its guests with a beautiful oriental-style lobby decorated with marble with black edging, a white grand piano, chandeliers under a high ceiling. The whole atmosphere of the hall gives you an invitation to an oriental fairy tale.
On the 9th floor of the restaurant where breakfast is served, a plate is currently filled by a hotel employee upon your request.
In the evening, you can dine in the restaurant after long walks around the city in a romantic atmosphere.
Excellent cuisine, delicious and pleasant.
There is a bar on the terrace with views of the Bosphorus and Galata Tower. Enjoy the visit.
I will note the work of the staff in the restaurant and bar at 10 out of 10. Professional, mobile, friendly and calm.
The SPA center is located on the 1st floor of the hotel. Traditional, bath services through a reservation by appointment. The staff of the SPA center are friendly and introduce you in detail to all existing services.
I also note that the sound insulation in the room is not very good. The noise of neighbors returning late, crying children in the hallway or preparing to clean neighboring rooms can all be heard in the room from the hallway. Perhaps it was due to the location of our room, but there is a fact.
I thank all the staff and team of the JW Marriott Istanbul Bosphorus Hotel for a pleasant and comfortable stay in your beautiful city of Istanbul.
Thank you for the warm memories that will stay with me and in the photo taken from the balcony of the JW Marriott Istanbul Bosphorus room.
I wish you and your employees calm, friendly and solvent customers. As well as prosperity to your hotel at such a difficult time for everyone. Sincerely, Anna
The pictures show rooms with a view of the Bosphorus. The hotel is misleading with these pictures. We bought a room on Alfa Travel Suite for 500 euros per day. The view from the room was not specified, but the photos were the same as on all the resources for this hotel. The room turned out to be without a window. That is, it formally exists, but it is embedded in the wall inside the building.
The breakfast is terrible - for this money. you get overcooked sausages and spiced grapefruits, rotten strawberries and salad leaves.
For three days, there has never been a normal protein meal except eggs, no chicken, no meat or fish, nothing like that.
The only advantage of the restaurant. - nice furniture and a view of the Bosphorus.
Instead of the so-called suite, we were given an ordinary standard room with a view of the terrible courtyard and the "Galata tower type". They said there was no other one, But we refused to live in a room with a view into the wall, because this was not at all part of our plans.
It's not that we weren't offered any compliments from the hotel for lowering the room, but they also talked to us quite rudely. There was only one bathrobe in the room for two, there was no toothpaste or toothbrush, we had to ask, they brought it the second time. The king size bed is two single beds pushed together. The pillows are uncomfortable. The audibility is terrible - someone is just walking down the corridor, you can hear everything in the room.
The refrigerator is empty - they didn't even put mineral water, they say coronavirus and therefore the mini bar is not filled (a good argument).
The rooms are already renovated, the silicone in the bathroom is falling off, the plumbing is malfunctioning, our sink was clogged.
Okay. We came to the spa - there was a woman who spoke to us very impolitely. We barely got into this spa. They allowed me to stay there for half an hour. The hammam is paid (for 500 euros in knocks!!!) I asked for shower towels at the spa - she gave me one, I say - there are two of us, she gave me another towel with a dissatisfied face.
There is no swimming pool in the hotel, although it is available on the website as a service. There's a kind of pool on the roof, but you can't go in it.
In addition, there is a construction site near the hotel. But even without construction, the place at the hotel is not very good - there is a rather dirty port and bridge nearby. For that kind of money, it's better to find another hotel.
In general, we were very disappointed. We do not recommend the hotel to anyone. In the pictures, everything is not like in reality. This is a hoax.
We bought a room with a view of the Bosphorus, settled in with a view of the city. We spent time solving this issue and later settled in a room of a category higher than it was originally purchased.
If you need a view, then definitely not this hotel, on the one hand you will get a view of the "terrible buildings, on the other, even on the sea, but there is still a lot of scary space in front of the hotel and the hotel itself is not in the best location, choose another place, according to the staff, it is more less ok, the rooms themselves are trying Pull in 5 stars, but you'll find no worse with 3 stars in Istanbul😃
In the photo, a room for 500€🥲
We were welcomed on February 25 at 2 :30 at night, tired from the plane... in general, our room was paid for with a view of the Bosphorus River or partially! In general, we were greeted by a non-friendly Milana girl and gave us a room with a view of the roofs and some old sheds🤦♀️With the noise of the air conditioner! The room was stuffy and the ventilation system was not working properly. We called the reception, this Milana was rude and just mocked! In general, the Marion Hotel in Istanbul is 3 stars in Europe. Boorish attitude at the reception of Milan! In general, I think that at night we will not even be able to relax in such a stuffy atmosphere
Perfect cleanliness, high quality service, a room with all amenities, convenient location of the hotel in the city center, transport is practically not needed.
The doors were slamming all night, you can't close them quietly, not one as you don't hold it from this constant rumble in this Marriott Bosphorus 5 *** (in fact, worse than a scoop. It is not recommended to anyone by a regular tourist who accidentally came across this hotel on one of his trips. Incompetent staff at the reception, solving problems takes 1 hour
