We stayed for a day at the Intourist Hotel in Brest, a two-room junior suite. The hotel is very well located: near the pedestrian street of Brest with shops, restaurants, cafes, souvenirs, etc.; the shopping center, on the ground floor of which there is a Santa grocery store, where they sell cooked food; public transport stops, etc.. The hotel is a 20-minute walk from the train station along a pedestrian street. The hotel itself is very large. Our room was on a high floor, and the view of the city and the river was excellent. The room itself was quite normal and warm, but when we checked in, the first thing that "caught my eye" was two bottles of water on the table, one of which was opened and incomplete. We contacted the maid, she replaced the bottle. When we decided to drink tea and coffee and have a snack, we took the dishes out of the display case and it turned out to be... just dirty, greasy, apparently not washed after the previous guests. They turned to the maid again, who washed all the dishes. There is a sofa in the room, but here is a table without wheels, a small one with a glass top (it was scary to break it and move it). As a result, a small stool from the makeup table was used as a table (but it was not convenient, it was low and small). There is only a TV in one room, there is no TV in the bedroom. There is no desk, no workplace. The bathroom is spacious enough, but the water from the sink and the bidet faucet was extremely bad, I had to use only the shower. The bed is a large double, quite comfortable, there are 2 pillows on the bed, measuring 70* 70 cm, very heavily filled with filler, to such an extent that it is impossible to lie on them, just sit! I have never seen such pillows in any hotel. I can't sleep without a pillow at all, but there was no way to sleep on these pillows, the pillows are much higher than shoulder width, and my head turns sideways. We rolled one blanket under our heads and covered ourselves with the other. Naturally, we didn't get much sleep, and then, oddly enough, we slept on the train). Something like that!)
It's not a bad hotel. Our room was clean. Heat. There was a kettle and glasses, a hairdryer. Breakfast is glazed cheese, omelet with sausage and cabbage salad. Instant coffee or tea. There is a cooler with drinking water on the floor. Soap, shower gel, shampoo. There was a bathtub in the room. It was a little scary to get into it, and it was slippery to get out too. Otherwise, everything is fine. We were passing through, for one night. We are satisfied with the hotel. Thanks!
We checked in for 1 night, booked in advance. The floors in the room were not washed (the neighbors said they had clean floors, probably we were unlucky by chance). The pillows don't seem to have changed since the hotel opened. The bed linen was clean, but the bedspread was stained/stained. The interior can be partially seen in the photo, there has been no renovation since the opening.
There was a water cooler on the floor, but it was not possible to connect it to electricity (there is no outlet provided - there is no hot water).
