Ivan Franko has very little to do with Donetsk and does not enjoy much love here. Established in 1957 for the 100th anniversary of the writer, the monument was attacked by vandals, however, now it has been restored, has a quite decent appearance and demonstrates "tolerance of the authorities" by its existence. Not the best feature - some small shops and even a beer bar are erected in the background, which somewhat disfigures the picture.
