A wonderful place, a real must as to landscape, with the Southern Karelia lakes and bushes of northern trees, where the promises are perfectly integrated.
Very good and roomy accommodation with unforgettable views in the western alley. Very good breakfast and pleasant kitchen, with an economical offer by lunchtime.
Several open air spaces served by the restaurant and bar. The indispensable sauna, of course.
The staff is exceptional for sympathy and availability.
The quiet and relaxed atmosphere is ideal for enjoying the pleasures of nature, whatever long the stay is.
A very decent motel. Excellent location: on the steep shore of the lake. Saima. Far from the border and the large (for Finland) city of Lappeenranta. The rooms are small but cozy. Many with access to the street: "terrace". The food is quite decent. Of the features: swimming pool and beach on Saimaa. Nearby is the landmark of the 2nd World War: a fragment of the Salpa Defense Line - the second line of defense of Mannerheim, built in 1944 for defense against the USSR. It didn't help: unlike 1939-40, it was taken by our troops in a few days! Glory to our victorious ancestors!!! I recommend the hotel for a short stay: 3-5 days.
A great place to relax before or after the border. Gorgeous views, nice sauna, swimming pool. The lake in the summer after the sauna is generally super.
