We stayed in this "hotel" from 31.12.24 to 05.01.25, for lack of a choice, it was difficult to find something free for these dates.
There were 4 of us. First, we were moved to the 3rd floor in room 601 (photos 2-6). It has one bathroom and 2 rooms. The room is big enough. There's no point in talking about repairs.… They are located right under the roof. The ceiling height in the highest places is ~ 170cm. Skylights! Hot water with good pressure. The batteries are also very warm (you won't freeze for sure!). They asked me to move to another room the next day because there was always water in the bathroom and I had to clean it all the time, as well as because of the very low ceilings (the gnome day house). We moved to room 602 (photos 7-11) because rooms for 4 people are only at the very top. It's certainly better here, the ceilings are a little higher, as well as 2 bathrooms, as well as 2 refrigerators. BUT: the toilet is leaking and it hasn't been done in all 4 days! The room borders the elevator shaft and it's quite noisy every time it turns on. Also, starting at 23.00, a powerful extractor hood is constantly turned on, presumably from the elevator shaft, and it is humming very loudly! The staff doesn't understand Russian or English at all. One night, they tried to get into the room 4 times in a row from 02.00 to 04.00 at night, as a result, my wife woke me up and it turned out that they were mistaken and did not know that we had been relocated. Therefore evaluate: 👍 heating; hot water👍👍👍location(there are streets much worse); it is close to all shops, cafes, Taksim, ischial etc👍; quadrature 👍 rooms; Elevator👍;
Room renovation 👎🏻; staff👎🏻;
I did not expect such a service from Istanbul. Don't check in. In order:
1. Located on the street feels like a slum.
2. It stinks of cats on the 1st and -1 floor.
3. There is stale air on the basement floors, you will be able to relax like this.
4. We moved to the 3rd floor (according to them, suite) = 2000 liras / day, in fact the same room as in the whole hotel. An old renovation done with your own hands. Furniture may be broken. Dust and mold in places.
5. There is a balcony, but the view is a masterpiece, I attached a photo.
6. There are no dishes, they were looking for a ceramic cup for us for 10 minutes, let alone cutlery.
7. The staff themselves are cheerful, it's easy to negotiate, but they have no idea what a hotel should look like. They think that this is all normal.
8. You will not oversleep anything, because there is no sound insulation, you can hear all the neighbors. If you can't hear them, then don't miss the screams of cats under the window at 6 a.m. And if that doesn't help, then morning prayer at 5 a.m.
You have to pay for good service, there is none here. Istanbul has become expensive and it is sad. I do not recommend staying here.
