The hotel is pleasant, the staff is helpful, they always helped with everything. They almost didn't name their tours in Baku, which is also good. The cleaning in the rooms is good, but there are some unpleasant moments in the rooms themselves. I'll start with the water - it was often barely warm in the evenings, the reasons are not clear (perhaps there are problems with water in the city and not exactly in the hotel). The shower looks cool at first glance, but until you want to wash up. Firstly (exactly in our room) the upper watering can of the tropical shower is not connected to the water at all and stands there for some mysterious beauty. The drain in the shower is clogged to death, so it is impossible to wash for more than 5 minutes, otherwise you will fill the whole room with water. But at least in the shower I was pleased with the glass door that closes well, but there is no seal from below, so the water flowing over the side will go into the room. I'm a little sad about the heating in the room (we went in March, when the average temperature was 10-15 degrees). You can only keep warm with air conditioning, there are no batteries. Cool down only with an open window. The result is dampness in the room and constant condensation on the window. It seems like nonsense, but God forbid you will need to wash some clothes, you will just dry them on a hanger on the closet. Breakfast is served at the restaurant across the street. The breakfasts themselves are very nice, everything is fine here. However, something happened in the restaurant the last couple of days and there were no breakfasts, but we got our money back for them. In general, the impression is pleasant, but not without disadvantages. I painted them here in detail so that the staff would pay more attention to them. Oh yes, the balcony is beautiful.
I booked a room in advance at the booking first, a single superior room. Some time later, my plans changed and I changed the reservation to a standard double room.
The booking was confirmed at the booking office. We corresponded with the hotel about meeting at the airport, everything was fine.
A week before my arrival, I decided to write to the hotel via whatsapp, clarify the technical points, clarify about the taxi and found out that my reservation was canceled, as it fell under overbooking!
Booking is still active on the booking site itself!
"We are very sorry!" is all that the hotel told me!!
The prices for accommodation have increased several times! Where should I find a new place to live?
If I hadn't written, would I have found out about not checking in at 5 a.m. (I booked a day more)??
I was not offered any replacement options, I was just confronted with the fact! Terrible service!
Nice hotel near the old town. The hotel is clean. The staff is polite and friendly. But there is one thing... We were given rooms on the 1st floor, which had no windows... It's very strange.. Keep this in mind when booking a room.
Manager Edwin will surround you with such care throughout your arrival that, I assure you, you will even be embarrassed to look for any minor flaws in the hotel or in your room)) And they will be small ones, because in large details the hotel is very good.
1. The staff there is simply incomparable. In general, everything. It's just the gold of this hotel.
2. The room is small, unpretentious, especially for us who travel often and prefer hotels from 4*, But everything is well and conveniently thought out in it, it is not disgusting to be in it. It is very convenient that there are sockets on both sides of the bed.
3. The hotel is located in the center of Baku, while not on a noisy street - the sound insulation is good, so we slept like babies. Many attractions are within a 15-minute walk.
4. Refrigerator, air conditioner worked well.
5. The breakfasts are amazing and changed a little every day. You pick up the food yourself. They are located in the same house - you need to walk 20-30 steps from the hotel down the street.
6. The Internet worked fine.
7. Water, sugar, instant coffee for free.
8. The bed is comfortable.
9. The shower room is quite small, but otherwise there are no complaints about the bathroom.
In general, everything is great, we are happy with everything, we were comfortable. We highly recommend it! We warmly recall the vacation days spent in Hillside :)
The location is good for those who want to walk around the old town and the metro nearby. The rooms are small but cozy, the staff is friendly and they speak Russian.
+ Very friendly and courteous staff, clean rooms.
- The smell of sewage in the bathroom, economy and budget rooms with no Windows on the street (the so-called courtyard - corridor and stairs, there is natural lighting, but there is very little air flow, at least the balcony on the second floor is open).
Wonderful hotel!.
We came with a friend for a week , we are very satisfied . Very clean, the bed is comfortable. Polite receptionists, convenient location. Nearby attractions, Old Town , sea , Carpet Museum , Flame Towers.
Cafes and restaurants nearby
A very cozy hotel with a good location!
Everything is clean, everything is there for a comfortable stay. It fully corresponds to the description and photo.
The staff is as friendly and helpful as possible.
Especially Edwin is a very hospitable, caring, responsive and pleasant person - the whole hotel is based on his hospitality! We are grateful for the rest)))
The location is excellent. This is the main trump card of the hotel. The friendly attitude of all the men at the reception, Edwina stands out, speaks excellent Russian, will tell and explain everything. Another plus is the transfer, the price tag is normal, everything is on time, the cost is included in the room rate - very convenient. You can not change anything at the airport - an unfavorable course.
About the cons. The RPP numbers are marked by square footage and convenience. Excellent room 204. Much worse is the one adjacent to it -203. It is very small, the mixer is not working properly, they could not fix it. If you are sitting on the bed, then the bathroom door cannot be opened, you need to remove your legs - it is so small. But the room has everything. For one, it's great. It was a little cramped for two of us. There are also rooms without windows facing the street, only to the courtyard, which is closed and not ventilated. Make a reservation right away, the price is the same for all standard rooms. Zaatraki- it was quite normal for us, without frills, of course. A good cappuccino is brewed in the morning in the vending machine, I recommend it. We offer something like scrambled eggs, fried bread with egg and milk, sausages (I do not advise), sausage (I do not advise), cottage cheese (I advise 😊), everything else is normal: tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, oranges (chopped), apples (chopped), honey, jam, cookies.
The rooms were cleaned, if desired, daily
A great hotel near the old town. All the staff is very polite, and the manager, Edwin, is just a miracle! Thanks to the hotel, I didn't have to look for exchange offices, delicious restaurants, and in general everything I wanted — they told me everything and told me. And everything is in Russian
The room is clean + cleaning every day. I was especially pleased with the sound insulation of the rooms — I could not hear either the neighbors or the corridor.

A great hotel for a reasonable price. Cozy room, comfortable bed. There is always water in the room and at the reception, tea and coffee in the lobby are always free. Excellent service, excellent location, 10 minutes walk to the old town. The metro is nearby, where there is a VTB ATM (you can withdraw manats from the mir card).
Lovely hotel, right in the heart of Baku, within walking distance of all the main attractions
Very nice staff, they help with all questions
The rooms are clean but small; enough for sleeping and relaxing) thank you very much for the reception
We stayed at this hotel in September, what can I say? We have never seen better staff and service. Thanks to Edwin and his guys, they made Rush's vacation unforgettable. clean, cozy, pleasant communication, there are no disadvantages to this place. thank you!
I stayed at the Hillside City Center in Baku for one night, passing through on my way to a business trip - the impressions of the hotel were the best. The location is excellent (the Old Town, the flame towers and the embankment are very close), the room is neat, clean and equipped with everything you need, the breakfast is delicious. I would also like to note the work of the staff: Edwin at the reception actively helped with carrying a suitcase, recommendations on currency exchange, restaurants, local cuisine and more. If you are in Baku, feel free to stay here, I recommend it.
Great hotel. It is located in a quiet and peaceful place, but at the same time all the sights are within walking distance. The rooms are clean. Very helpful and friendly staff
A great, small hotel. Perfectly located from the main attractions.Fully corresponds to the description. Very attentive polite staff. I would especially like to mention Edwin. For all questions, you can contact him (and not only about the hotel, but in general about everything). I wish them good luck and prosperity.
A small cozy hotel.A nice manager who helped a lot with advice. The location is excellent 👍All attractions are within walking distance. There is also a metro nearby. It's a pity that the kitchen didn't work. But I hope to return to this hotel and have it repaired by that time.
I recommend it!
There is a strong smell of sewage in the toilet. The rooms are very small. I am surprised that many people write about the smell of sewage, but the hotel administration does not solve this problem in any way.
A new mini-format hotel. Responsive staff, good repair, location 5 points (the old town is 5 minutes away). Possibility of transfer to the airport. I recommend.
Aah, I almost forgot 🙂, the price is great. Money can be changed directly at the hotel (rubles and dollars), the exchange rate is adequate.
There's some kind of hole! They settled in a 3-by-3-meter room, where the window leads inside to the stairs. There is no ventilation in the room, there is nothing to breathe.

A good budget hotel with a very good location. We walked all day, so we took a cheap room without breakfast, the bed was comfortable enough, pillows, pressure problems and other water problems were not present (it often happens in inexpensive hotels, so I clarify). Very friendly staff)
This is the best hotel I've been to, and all because of the incredibly wonderful staff there, thank them very much, everyone, plus it's clean, close to the maiden tower, I liked everything 😍😍😍😍if I fly to Baku, I'll stay only at this hotel
Thank you so much for your hospitality!
Our vacation in Baku was short but unforgettable! Thanks to you, and in particular Edwin, we quickly got our bearings and did not miss a minute of the beauty of this city!
A budget hotel with a great location! The double room was so small that even one person was very cramped! Breakfast for three! The administrators are very kind!
