I've been to the hotel several times. Beautiful beach and sea, beautiful territory, there are a lot of different shops and other places. Normal food for the budget four. Excellent location in Hurghada, you can comfortably walk outside the hotel. The rooms are mostly in need of repair, in some buildings it has already been, and in some they are doing it now. When booking a room, it is better to choose a superior, the standards are slightly cheaper, but they have a cramped shower stall. There are no corals, but to admire the beauty of the red sea, you can take a guided tour.

These are three Grand Palace hotels, the Grand Hotel and, of course, the Grand resort. Our "Resort" is the oldest, but also the most beautiful. It was built in the oriental style.Two huge pools, greenery everywhere, several bars- mini cafes where you can have a snack, but there are nuances. Some dishes and drinks are not included in the all-inclusive system, that is, you have a snack and they bring you a bill.

We liked the location of the hotel and the first line, left the room and in 3 minutes you are at the sea. The hotel is very beautiful especially in the evening. I didn't care that something was old there and cleaning was clearly not the Egyptians' thing, there really was old dust in the corners. But honestly, we didn't care about this one. We came to relax and get high. The main habitats were constantly cleaned - the toilet in the hotel lobby, just after almost every visitor, the lobby floors are washed at night, restaurants are always cleaned, everything is neatly arranged. 3 restaurants on the territory of the hotel building itself - one is constantly open for breakfast, lunches, dinners, late dinners, another at the exit from the hotel on the right there for lunch and dinner, in the evening barbecue, divine tortillas and meat on coals, fish is not very honest to say, eggplant in all kinds is just mmm yummy, the third restaurant there's pasta on the second floor, open for dinner. There are two more Ala Kart restaurants, where you can always drink something and have a snack.
There were always enough sunbeds on the beach for everyone, soft bedding, umbrellas, everything is OK. The sea is gorgeous, transparent, clean and sooo warm. We were in early November. Do not take an excursion from individual guides at a price they are overpriced by 2-3 times, in fact everything is the same as what is booked from street agencies. We booked from a couple of agencies of their Internet, the most important thing is payment upon arrival when they bring you on a tour. The insurance is valid for the country, and not for a specific tour operator, otherwise it would be meaningless.
In general, if the price is cheaper than in other places, I would definitely come back here. There is a Russian pharmacy not far from the hotel, where you can buy all the necessary medicines at the most state prices, with a check and, if necessary, exchange first for local pounds (this is more profitable for tourists).

We were at the hotel in March - April 2024. Overall, we liked it. This is the third time we've been here. The price and quality correspond. Do not take standard rooms, at least superior ones. The 400th building has been redecorated. Positive. The proximity of the beach, good access to the sea, a lot of umbrellas, sun beds (but it is better to occupy the sea early). Large well-maintained territory, greenery, lawns, trees, lots of flowers.
A few remarks.
The hotel is undergoing renovation of the 300th building (download the hotel diagram on the Internet). It is necessary to keep this in mind when checking in.
Some rooms have low water pressure, check the freshness of the bed linen upon arrival.
Do not buy SIM cards from boutique sellers in the hotel (Adam, Mohamed). They are blatantly deceiving, swearing by Allah. They sell for 10 bucks allegedly 25 GB, but in fact 250 MB. You can also check here by downloading the provider's application and immediately request a refund.
There are shampoos, creams, z / paste, etc., many times cheaper in the supermarket (Carrefour) - from the hotel to the left 300 meters, turn right - 50 meters (cars turn) next to the entrance of the pharmacy, prices are also really lower.

The hotel is very old, the rooms are old, bathroom without shower (there is a bathtub), well-maintained beautiful territory, excellent entrance to the sea. The breakfasts are always the same, lunch and dinner will do... you can survive all this, but the service is just a nightmare! They're just waiting for a tip, for everything!!!! They are always coming up with supposedly paid services - which in fact should be free. If you don't tip, they don't approach you anymore.

We celebrated the new year 2024 in this hotel. This is my first trip to Egypt, and for those who are as ignorant as I am, I just want to give a couple of tips.
First, our wild adventure began with the fact that we were given change in old dollars at the airport. This is just a fatal failure, which then closed all the doors to us in Egypt, because the old dollar is not accepted either in the hotel, or in shops and pharmacies, and even in banks, although the authenticity was checked.
Second: if you want to celebrate the new year at sea, then Hurghada is definitely not your option. Although the sea is 24 degrees, it's cold to enter it, you don't buy for a long time, and when you go out, the wind blows over you, you freeze. But the chances of burning out are small.
Now about the Grand Hotel: a lot of staff knows Russian, from the level well to a couple of words, but you can understand each other. The administrator is Russian. The staff is very intrusive. We took a burning ticket for 6 nights for 94k + visa 50 $ + New Year's dinner 116 $ + minor expenses. Everything is included. Standard room for two.
Positive:
1. There is a lot of food on the buffet. But, meat is not meat here (although, a couple of times I got a normal beef), there are at least fish on the table. Almost all the food is vegetable, a lot of legumes. Vegetable and meat snacks, a couple of types of soups, side dishes, desserts, pastries. There is something to choose from, in fact, you will not stay hungry.
2. The sea is clean, beautiful, azure. There are sun beds, umbrellas on the beach, and beach towels are provided upon check-in. It takes a couple of minutes to walk from the room.
3. After 23x, silence, if there are programs, they do not last until late at night. A hotel for a relaxing holiday.
4. A gift at check-in, three bottles of soda per liter.
Minuses:
1. AI system: in addition to the buffet, there are restaurants and bars, in their menu you will find 5-6 free items, the rest is paid. Rum, vodka, wine, draft juices, soda are available in bars. You will have to pay for a mojito and a freshly squeezed one.
As well as no free services.
2. Wi-fi is free only in the lobby, and then, on the third day, it stopped working. Maybe he will miss a couple of messages, you can forget about pictures and videos.
3. The rooms are very much used, instead of a closet there are shelves with curtains, in the refrigerator there is a huge piece of ice on the whole shelf, everything is shabby, the plaid is dirty, the plumbing is dead. There is no pressure in the soul. There is an old TV with 7 channels, but none shows. The toilet door won't close. The shower tray is yellow from time to time, very small, closed with a curtain, even with such a pressure of water, everything is flooded.
The curtains are dirty and torn.
No bathrobes, no slippers. A tube of gel, shampoo and conditioner, two dirty glasses. There is a hair dryer.
They cleaned up once during all this time, and then when I went down to the reception to swear. They cleaned badly.
4. In principle, the whole hotel is not particularly well maintained. It fell off there, it was erased here, it was broken here. The road to the hotel and the airport is littered with garbage, the city is very dirty.
5. Ice pools.
6. At the New Year's Eve party, for which $ 116 was paid, money was also extorted. The wine is paid. The artists walk like invalids on Russian trains, begging. Half of the rooms look like we attended a report concert in a school club. A meager salute with an hour's delay. Well, the most annoying thing is that we and two other tables were not given a gift. So pay money for a fun holiday and get sad.
If you don't want to run to the bar several times, take large glasses with you and ask them to pour into them. There is a paid service on the beach, they only take away empty glasses for free.

The hotel is German, so until all Germans are served, they will not approach you. The rooms are terribly old, while 2-3 rooms are being updated. There is no WiFi anywhere except the reception. The drinks are diluted. These are the disadvantages.
Among the advantages are a barbecue, many restaurants, location relative to the airport, amazing animators, sandy beach, good entrance, no children. The locals call the Grand Hotel a nursing home))))
For the 2nd time, I will definitely not go there. But! We had a great company that flew in from different cities and all the flaws were ironed out.

We were in September 2022. It was very hot! But the hotel has air conditioning everywhere. Water and lemonade were put in the rooms every day. A refrigerator and a safe, as well as beach towels are included in the price. There was a lot of food! And diverse! For breakfast, juices were always squeezed right in the restaurant hall. There has always been ice cream on the 2nd floor in the cafe. The coffee was unusual. I only had coffee in the lobby bar. The coffee in the restaurant was tasteless. The local wine did not go in. Beer is average. The cocktails weren't bad. By the way, they also did all sorts of drinks in the pool during the day. Some of them just sat there all day. The beach is private, but there is a yacht parking nearby. Periodically it brought fuel oil. There were few Russians and Ukrainians. Mostly Germans, Slovaks or Slovenes. A little thing works wonders: drinks and food will be brought to the beach, sun beds will be placed comfortably, etc. P.S. You can smoke almost everywhere! It just killed me.

When we arrived, I was in my early 50s and my grandson was 2 and a half years old, we were immediately accommodated:they gave me a room on the 4th floor, the wooden floor is half-worn paint. I'm already tired, how can you climb with a small child in this heat? In short, we changed the room, on the 2nd floor, but.... damn, in front of ventilation or air conditioning shafts. There was a strong hum from them, there was no way to rest, At 1 a.m. the room was changed again and they lived in it, but they constantly repaired the rooms, worked with a puncher. Food... We have hardly eaten for the last 3 days, everything is monotonous, not tasty. Pastries, cakes are delicious old, washed, gray linen. And yes, 2 times I saw a shark 1.20-1.50 long near the shore, in the morning, at about 10.00.those who saw it jumped out of the water, and those who swam further, they did not see. She swam 2 meters from the shore. There are buoys, but there is no grid. In short, I was constantly thinking,,, it would be faster to go home.

The hotel is a terrible old one , the pool is one for the whole hotel of 5 buildings. There are few sun beds by the pool and then all are occupied by Poles or Germans from 7 a.m. The food is ordinary , what we didn't eat yesterday we will eat today ( in the evening after 21:00 for dinner , they just turn off the air conditioner in the country restaurant and just remove the plates 20 minutes before closing . The rooms are very old, they gave a metal key with a number for all 1 Key. Of the advantages , there was a sandy beach and entry into the water , there was a net around the perimeter from fish and sharks . And the burgers are delicious on the beach. Never go to this hotel in your life, the staff does not speak Russian at all, but this is my problem, I will agree right away;) I arrived there with my common-law husband, he is of a different nationality, and we were refused joint accommodation, allegedly prohibited by law and this is criminally punishable. They asked for an additional $1,500 and after payment they said that we shouldn't go to each other's rooms anyway🤣🤣🤣🤣 The rooms are old, although they claim that everything is New, the old furniture is warped with paint and this means new, the shower without a curtain and without any barrier to water, it will not be possible to wash there at all. I didn't have time to take a photo, I shot a video, but it's not possible to upload it here.

The hotel is very tired, old, even the name itself is dusty and dirty at the entrance to the hotel, the first impression was terrible, which caught my eye, further more.. the furniture is all old from Soviet times, granny, just painted with white paint and like new 😂there was mold on the walls in the room near the bed, one wall with a toilet, for some reason 2 doors were blown off, a continuous draft, which made the whole family sick. The toilet is in a deplorable state, century-old toilet seats with paint sliding off 😂The food is the same every day, it says that there are 4 restaurants, but this is far from the case, normal food in the main restaurant. The curtains are dirty and stained, it was even disgusting to touch / shade.A solid three and does not cost 80 thousand for one 100%. The only plus is a pharmacy at fixed prices nearby. An excellent hotel, one of the few that has not sunk to the level of a flophouse. All bars and restaurants are open, there is animation, evening entertainment programs.

It couldn't be worse. The hotel must be demolished and a new one built, reconstruction will not help it. But from the point of view of cheapness, yes, that's it.
