everything is fine for your money, but it's not clear why the rooms have a carpet, on which everyone obviously wears shoes. they clean and vacuum it, of course, but it's still not like taking off your shoes at the entrance, and then the floor is clean everywhere.
Breakfast is fine. It's not restful, but you won't stay hungry either.
Upon check-in, a teapot, cups, and tea-coffee-sugar are provided on a tray. The view from the window is lucky if it's important to someone. The guy at the reception knows a little Russian.
in general, for those who came to walk around Istanbul, and not to sit in a hotel, the place is quite normal.
there is a lot to see nearby, and a tram that runs to the center.
Overall, it's not bad for your money, but there's no flexible shower hose in the bathroom. In my room specifically, the faucet wasn't working either, just a watering can screwed into the wall. I don't know about Americans, but it's inconvenient for me. Well, the sound insulation is mediocre, however, as in all old hotels.
