A wonderful hotel.
It is located in the "old" Gagra.
Quiet, calm, the air is fresh.
There is a lot of greenery on the territory of the hotel, 5 minutes to the sea, through an underground passage, directly to the embankment. There is no beach of its own, but it seems to me that this is not a minus.
The rooms are decent. In the room: bathroom, bed, bedside tables, armchair with coffee table, wardrobe, table. There are also two chairs and a table on the balcony. Everything is clean, the garbage is taken out of the room every day, towels are changed every 2/3 days.
There is also a dining room, you can either buy breakfast, lunch in it yourself, or include it in the accommodation, the prices are reasonable, the food is delicious, the staff is polite.
They can also arrange transfers to the airport, train station, and excursions.
We had a vacation in 2019, with the whole family.
We rented an apartment, it was quite convenient. It was close to the sea, the view from the windows was on the mountains, it was nice.
Shops nearby, pharmacy .The prices are higher than in our city. There is a market if you take a little walk
Four-storey houses, entrances are dirty, there are no glasses in the windows, in general, garbage comes across on the streets, there have been problems with water supply several times.
After the storm, the pumping station did not work, there was no water from morning to evening.
It was at this time that we all had signs of infection with the rota virus.
It's very inconvenient. It feels like it's from a local water park, we went there all day, it's old, Soviet times, like everything around. And hygiene is not in order, especially since local children come and splash around in a crowd, apparently for free and as they want, in any quantity.
So I don't recommend going there.
Even though it's nearby.
We ate in the dining room near the sea
Not bad, you can eat.
Well, they cooked at home accordingly.
In general, the nature is beautiful, there are not many people, the sea is clean, but from the sanitary side, everything is bad.
It's even unpleasant.
We went to Pitsunda, swam there, the sea is cleaner and calmer than in Gagra.
The result is a hard road, a border, a queue, beautiful nature, unsanitary conditions, intestines and treatment at the child's home in the hospital.
It's up to you.
We liked everything. View from the balcony to the sea. The room is clean and cozy, nothing superfluous. Room cleaning👍Buffet, everything is delicious. The sea is 1 minute away. You can spend the evening downstairs in the lobby. Heated swimming pool on site. We were in early March.
It's a very beautiful place. The sea is gorgeous. There are many possible options where you can stay. But, the infrastructure with canteens and restaurants is frightening. Establishments with decent cuisine can be counted on the fingers of one hand. While I was resting for 2 weeks, I was poisoned three times 🤦🏼♀️
It's gorgeous in Gagra. The embankment, the colonnade, the park are all fine. A large number of souvenirs are on sale on the embankment. A cafe for every taste and budget. Nature is awesome
There are not many advantages. 1) the sea is much cleaner than in Kuban 2. this is nature. According to the service, the guys don't sweat much, especially on alcohol, you can say they gave up on this case. It is better to take alcohol from the store. And the locals began to hound about communication. In short, to see nature and no more, 2-3 days will be enough.
Nature is on top
The locals are adequate and friendly to tourists
Lots of entertainment for taste and color
A two-week vacation is not enough to try everything everywhere
I advise those who have not been
We went on an excursion to the hot springs from Sochi in March. We left early. We passed the border quickly ! The nature there is excellent, but no one wants to invest, develop and restore something... All buildings of the Soviet era...In my opinion, if you invest there, you will get a wonderful resort. I would go back to Abkhazia!
Gagra is gradually recovering, sidewalks are being repaired in full swing, preparations are underway for the summer season, nature is magnificent. The famous arch has been restored.
A wonderful vacation, especially in the low season. Silence and clean air. The service matches the price tag. There were no surprises, especially unpleasant ones, which made me very happy.
We live in Anapa. We often travel to different cities on weekends. I will tell you sincerely, there is nothing to compare it with. Anapa, Gelendzhik, Novorossiysk are not nearby
Romance, beach, sea ...., just a gorgeous place, starting from the air that you can't breathe enough, ending with the contemplation of unusual nature, mountain rivers, mountains, canyons. People are mostly kind and helpful. The only unpleasant moment is the high price for contemplating these "charms"!
