We had a rest in Eric's city hall at the end of August 2024. My impressions are mixed. By phone, the hostess of the house explained that the prices on the site had not changed for a long time and our room with a toilet for 4 instead of the specified 3000 rubles. / day turns out to be 5000 rubles. and very persistently recommended her transfer due to the fact that the location of the house is very difficult to find. We refused, because we already had an Abkhazian transfer and it was not difficult to find a house at all. The house is located near the railway tracks. Yes, the traffic is not big (4-5 trains a day there and back), you can hear them (especially the rooms immediately at the entrance of the territory), plus the whole "life" and the sea are behind them. Therefore, you will have to climb the ladders back and forth all the time. Parking is behind a fence, along a narrow sandy road. The territory is really all green: there are a lot of fruit trees, flowers and other strange plants. You can always find and study unusual plants for a long time. But all the photos on the site are practically untrue. A skillful angle on once thought-out locations. The rooms are very small, the common areas are completely different. On the ground floor there is a master's house, the second floor is also partially used for the needs of the owners. We lived on the second floor. The furniture is completely different than in the photo. The chairs are almost all soft and after the rain, which floods the terrace from all sides, there is practically nowhere to sit. Some of the chairs replace a soft corner, which is often occupied by companies of vacationers for a stormy evening-night carouse. Yes, no one will make comments, because the owners of the house in these companies also have a rest. The host of the house in a "good mood" may allow rude attitude towards the guests. Shabby guests really enjoy such a vacation, we (family) were not comfortable - the children could not fall asleep until everyone dispersed, it was romantic and secluded not to sit with a glass of wine at all. There are a lot of mosquitoes in Gagra, very much. Nowhere else in other cities of Abkhazia have we seen so many mosquitoes! There was a fumigator in the room, but it was not enough (they bought another one) and they put plates in for days (they walked bitten anyway). You can't sit under a canopy (without funds for the body) at all. I really liked the fact that the room had its own kettle and cups. The trouble with the dishes in the shared kitchen is that there are no plates at all, and the rest of the accessories are also in trouble. We were told that there was a violent company before us that interrupted everything, but nothing was added/changed during almost a week of stay. We didn't cook in the kitchen, but it was problematic to wash and put the fruits. I didn't catch Wi-Fi in the room at all, the connection can only be found on the terrace. To wash - 200 rubles. The big smart TV was our salvation in the rainy period, the children were distracted - for this a big bonus. Yes, the mattress on the double bed was wonderful! Really, you rarely find an undiluted one that sleeps well. But my son was unlucky - he got a chair-bed, which is all humped, he slept there without a pillow at all - there was no other way. The room was "two-room", the boiler stood so that all two rooms around the clock listened and watched his vital activity. There is little pressure in the shower, especially if the neighbors wash too. The view of the mountains and clouds often shifted our attention from the negative - the picture, as in the photo wallpaper, is wonderful. I do not know how to unambiguously assess this accommodation ... I will just describe the situation now, and you decide for yourself about the moral qualities of the hostess: Our train was at 16:30, and you need to vacate the room there strictly at 12:00. My daughter was tempted into the night. We asked if there was a check-in after us and if not, could we stay for 3 hours? To which the answer was that no one was checking in and we could stay if we paid for half a day or if we cleaned the whole room for ourselves ... When we asked to call a taxi to the railway station, we were provided with our own driver, who for 500 rubles took us to the station, which is a 4-minute drive from the city hall. By the way, for 500 rubles. a taxi driver took us late in the evening from old Gagra to new Gagra, where this city is located, after driving 10 kilometers.
