This is a monument to the Hero of the Soviet Union, a soldier, a man who was born in Abkhazia. He participated in the battles for Sevastopol, was brave, worthy of honor and respect. Bartsits Is A Native Of Abkhazia.In the Red Army since 1941, he distinguished himself in December 1943 in the battles to hold the bridgehead on the Kerch Strait. For his heroism during the landing in the area of Mount Mitradat (Kerch city) and the removal of the wounded from the bridgehead surrounded by the enemy, he was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal. During the battles for Malaya Zemlya, Bartsits delivered ammunition and food to the defenders, landed marines in the Novorossiysk port, and took part in the liberation of the city of Sevastopol.
