The gallery is famous primarily for the majestic sculptures by Giovanni Lorenzo Bernini, among which stand out "Apollo and Daphne" and "The Abduction of Proserpine". Bernini's mastery of movement and emotion is astounding and makes his works unsurpassed Baroque gems.
