Must to visit in the North Goa. I admired my walking to Aguaga Fort. Place was crowded but so beautiful 🤍 I recommend to try delicious tea and coffee in clay cups, you will definitely enjoy the taste of it and the show of preparation ☕️

An interesting attraction... The Portuguese visited India very thoroughly... such thick and obscene walls, elaborate buildings... it was built for centuries ... Admission is paid, but the amazing thing is not that the ticket is more expensive for foreigners, but how much or rather how many times cheaper the ticket is for locals! How poor the locals are, how low their standard of living is, if the entrance ticket is not twice as expensive for foreigners (as in St. Petersburg, for example), but 30 times cheaper for locals! At 30!!! If you have any strength left after exploring the fortress, you can climb the lighthouse: it has a very beautiful view from above.

An atmospheric place filled with people! Beautiful maroon-black masonry stones. The interest of the people of India in their history is pleasant. The views are wonderful! Thanks for the feeling! While in Candolim, we walked there in the morning, afternoon and evening!!

One of the few forts that is maintained by the state. Therefore, the entrance is paid) The lighthouse is impressive, it's a pity you can't climb it. The view is beautiful. There is a modern working lighthouse nearby, I recommend you to visit. Compare the sensations of antiquity and novelty. Have a nice trip, everyone!

In general, I can say the following, the fort is large and well restored, unlike others in the area, the only thing that wasn't quite clear to me was what the topic was, that they charge 25 rupees from locals and 300 from whites) and so there is of course something to see, for example, the color of the local people, and of course the old lighthouse cool

On March 4, 2023, we went to the main attraction of North Goa during the Portuguese colonization of India - Fort Aguada ( Aguada Fort). The fort is located in the village. Candolim is on the hill. We spent 45 km on the way from d.Betalbatim 1 hour 15 min. on a rented car (renting a car in Goa cost 1000 INR per day, while refueling at your own expense). There were a lot of visitors, they stood in line for a pass ticket for 20 minutes. Entrance to the fort is paid: INR 25 for locals and INR 300 for foreigners. The entire territory up to the fortress is well-groomed and beautiful with planted flowers around, with a civil toilet. The 17th century fortress was built of high-quality local red stone, and has been perfectly preserved for several hundred years. Several buildings are located in a semicircle on the edge of the hill, with an inactive old lighthouse in the middle. On one side of the fort there is an amazing view of the Arabian Sea and coastal cliffs, and on the other side there is a deep one along the wall. Below, already at the exit from the fortress, there is a small museum of the history of the fort.

We got to the fort by ourselves on a scooter. The entrance for Indians is 25 or 35 rupees, but for the rest 300 rupees. A pretty fortress, the view is beautiful

It is normal to drive a motorcycle and take a walk. I do not advise you to go on purpose, there is nothing much to do.

There's nothing to do - very small, not interesting. Also, the entrance for tourists is 300 rupees, and for locals 25. There's nothing to pay for here

The cost of visiting is 300 rupees per person, it doesn't seem to be much, but before that it was free. And since I have seen video reviews of this fort more than once, they did not go. Instead, we walked further along the road past the fort for 200 meters and for 150 rubles for four climbed the lighthouse, from where the fort is in full view. The lighthouse has all the equipment, lamps and mirrors in working order, maybe it's even operational. On the way back, two kilometers away, for 300 rubles per person, they take 45 minutes boating ~ 16 local junks. From the water, you can see the fort from a different angle with additional fort structures. Plus a flock of dolphins, behind them these junks are going to distillation, blocking each other's view. In general, I liked it on the water.
