It's a wonderful hotel! The staff is very kind, they always opened the door, there were also 2 free excursions. I liked it very much! In the morning, parrots flew to the balcony, and flamingos could be seen in the sea. And it won't take long to get to Burda Khalifa! Everything is fine!
Best Value for Money resort . The rooms are upgraded and look much nicer now . The surroundings and beachfront is very relaxing . The resort has its own private beach access .
We had a vacation with my husband for a week in February. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. It is located in a quiet place, the food is delicious, there is always something to eat, but a little variety and less acid in salads would brighten up our meal. We lived in a room with a magnificent view of the pier. The water is clean, cool, but you can swim, there are a lot of fish, my husband caught, and we grilled.
There are 2 large lulu stores. GO straight to the second one, it's a little further away, but it's much cooler. There are groceries, clothes, cosmetics, and everything.
Everyone should meet the sunset on a wild beach)) but as a last resort, the police kicked us out because there was a construction site, a port, and so on. But the water is warmer there and the waves are frothy.
As for the excursions, if there are a lot of Russians, you can cooperate and it will be much cheaper)))
Small, but cozy, beautiful, well-groomed, flourishing territory, friendly staff, delicious food, spacious, clean rooms, cleaning every day; tea, coffee, water - replenished in the room every morning. The sea is right next to the balcony! They take you on an excursion to the flamingos! Beach beds and towels are provided; WiFi in the room, at the reception, in the bar - everywhere the speed is good. There is a small shop on site where you can buy chocolate, souvenirs, suntan products and much more - it's very convenient! The pool is for children and adults, but not heated. There is almost nothing outside the hotel. In theory, you can walk to the shops (about 30 minutes one way), but you can call a taxi at the reception and go to the cool shops in the city: lulu (we recommend the far one, which is big), and who needs to go to the liquor store
We had a rest with my husband from October 20 to November 2 in the new building. The rooms are excellent, spacious, comfortable bed, there is a workplace: an armchair and a coffee table. Good Internet connection allowed you to work remotely.
The food in the restaurant is not very diverse, but everything is delicious, especially the fish in batter, although there are no companions in taste and color. Thanks to the chef. I recommend taking "all inclusive", otherwise you will have to buy all alcoholic and carbonated drinks. And the prices are quite high.
The sea is for every taste. The hotel is always quiet and peaceful, as it is a bay, the warmest 30 degrees. If you leave the hotel and walk along the new road to the right, then the sea is open, turquoise and there may be waves. And if you don't need the sea, then you can swim in the pool.
We had a wonderful rest, I recommend the hotel for a relaxing family holiday, not for young people. We will be happy to come back ourselves. Thanks to all the staff of the hotel, the maids, the bartender, the managers at the reception, the canteen staff.
A simple hotel, not bad for the money. The territory is green, the beach is close, the pool is not small, there is always water.
The staff tries to make your stay comfortable.
Delicious food, not very varied and without frills, but everything is delicious, there is always a choice.
Instant coffee, no coffee machine. Coffee is brewed, but for a fee. The hotel is not very big, and only Russians rested. After a day or two, everyone knows each other.
There is nothing outside the hotel, a road was being built in the railing of our rest. In 15-20 minutes you can walk to the wild beach, it is very beautiful there. A place for relaxing holidays.
We had a vacation with a child in October 2024 . In general, I liked the hotel, the rooms are large, the territory is well maintained, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is for a relaxing, quiet stay, there are no animations, but music is playing by the pool. The food is good, the assortment is not large, but there is enough, fish, beef and chicken are always served, baked vegetables, you will definitely not stay hungry! It was a pity there were no fermented milk products.I didn't like the beach, it's small, not much to swim.A very interesting excursion from the hotel is crab fishing, the child was delighted. In general, I liked everything, I have a desire to return to this cozy place))))))
A wonderful stay at this hotel! Wonderful staff, wonderful cuisine, gorgeous territory! A road is being made outside the territory in October 2024, an embankment was built nearby but has not yet been commissioned, the shopping center is being completed. A gorgeous wild beach 20 minutes from the hotel! Just an awesome sea and sand!!! Gorgeous photos turned out! In the hotel, people relax at breakfast, breakfast and dinner, and everything is included. If at breakfast, you can buy for 35 dirhams to eat for two. We had enough . You can fish from the pier . He spends a lot of time with children and the elderly. We liked it!
An excellent hotel with a fenced and well-maintained territory right on the shore of the bay. A paradise with a large number of palm trees and flowering shrubs. There is a swimming pool and a small playground on site. The food at the hotel is varied: there is always chicken, fish, beef, various fresh fruits, grilled vegetables, desserts, juices. Two free activities from the hotel are crab hunting and a trip to flamingos.
A small three-star hotel, the territory is well maintained, something is resorted to every day, cozy. There is a small private beach with sun beds and umbrellas, many small gazebos under umbrellas, and a swimming pool. The pool is open until late in the evening. There is a small marina from which it is convenient to fish. The hotel has two excursions for its guests to crab and to the island with flamingos, although they can only be viewed occasionally. The food is just wonderful, thanks to the chefs, the dishes were not repeated. We lived in a new building, overlooking the beach from the balcony, the room was large and cozy, there was a refrigerator, safe, electric kettle, TV. I liked everything very much. A small minus is that the hotel is located on the very outskirts of the emirate, there is a road laying around, the port, it is really not heard, and the territory that will be reconstructed over time.
We rested from 11/28 to 6.12. The hotel is very nice, clean, well-maintained territory, located right by the water. It is more suitable for a quiet relaxing holiday. There is no infrastructure nearby, so if you need a party, then this is not the place. The staff is friendly. We are always glad to communicate. The kitchen is 10 starsEVERYTHING IS SOOO DELICIOUS.
You can go to the wild beach, it is a 30-minute walk away, and you can take a taxi. There is open water, just a fairy tale.
I really liked everything. Although the hotel is located in the middle of a semi-abandoned village, it's cool there.
There are a lot of wildlife on the territory, and this pleases and says a lot of good things about people. Well done. Next to the bar, you can get fresh water from the cooler and also make tea)) the sea is clear) you can see the fish... You can fish and barbecue for free right there)) gorgeous. Sometimes flamingos come to the opposite shore. They can be seen by those who have very good eyesight or have small binoculars. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only thing they don't know is English. We talked about this through a translator. The hotel is for those who like a relaxing holiday. There is almost no entertainment on the territory. Barbecue, fishing, volleyball (if you organize it yourself, like us, for example) I also did sports on the grass.
Great hotel. Territory. Beach. The breakfasts are delicious. After leaving for a day in Dubai, I wanted to quickly return to the peace and quiet of this hotel.
A small disadvantage for me is the shared balcony. And don't be intimidated by the Indian-Pakistani neighborhood nearby. It's distinctive, fun, and peaceful with its inhabitants. And civilization in the city has a high-quality 15-minute promenade, a park, a cafe with inexpensive and delicious food, a grocery store. He left the hotel and turned left.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Flamingo Hotel. I would give this hotel a solid four.
The sea is clean, warm just a stone's throw away, the beach with free sun loungers and umbrellas, a beautiful spacious room, varied meals, very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel has a small but well-maintained territory, lots of flowers, and a swimming pool.
Thank you Flamingos for a wonderful vacation!
A nice hotel with a homely atmosphere. There are wonderful attentive receptionists at the reception. They settled right away. The food is beyond praise! The cook has 10 stars!!!! Everything is very tasty and a lot!!! The waiters and the bartender are very pleasant and helpful people! It's all positive and friendly! We were vacationing with a friend, the room was 112. Comfortable! I didn't like the construction site nearby and the sea with algae a little. But there are places for swimming, and this is not a problem! Thanks a lot to the hotel staff! We will come again and recommend it to everyone! Sincerely, Elena and Ekaterina.
We were in March 2025 (actually, that's where I'm writing from). We took a Premium room (second floor, with a balcony directly above the sea). The room is nice and spacious, with a large enough refrigerator, a TV (we didn't turn it on) and a separate WiFi router in the room (15-20 Mbps, so there have been no problems so far). The plumbing is not "dead", although the shower cabin is a triple. The territory is green and clean. The beach is being cleaned. But there's not much to swim from this beach (just splash around near the shore). So we go swimming on the opposite side of the peninsula, to the "wild" beach (25 minutes walk). There is no one there and you can swim to your heart's content. The breakfasts (we only took them) are good, varied, and buffet style. Now it seems that only Russians are vacationing in the hotel, but not very much - there are always places in the restaurant and on the beach. In general, a good "three-piece" (in my experience, I would say 3.5 is better than the standard three-piece, but it falls a little short of the normal four). In general, it is recommended for those who are not too demanding.
P.S. Yesterday was my wife's birthday - they brought a cake with a congratulatory inscription to the room. Nice to meet you!
In general, it's not bad, but the rooms are already "tired"! The buffet is relatively small, but everything is delicious! Free crab hunting and boat access to flamingos are included from the hotel! But don't count, see these birds up close! If you're lucky, they'll let you get within 100-150 meters!!! Overall, it's a pretty good hotel!
The rest is amazing!
The hotel has strong three stars! To begin with, the staff is very, very friendly! They are always ready to help, they have a good attitude towards children, they always smile, they never refused to take food with them, a very important moment for us, since we were with a child.
The rooms are spacious and good, cleaned well, changed bed linen and towels every day, washed the floors well, gave all the toiletries, we were always happy with the cleaning!
According to the food, the food is delicious, thank you very much to the chef, everything was very tasty, we were with a small child who was very interested in food, ate almost everything, because it was delicious) The only thing was there was no baking, it was so lacking)
The territory is small, but clean, neat, clean sea, tides in the morning, tides in the evening, the sea goes far away 😁
According to reviews, we read that there is a wild beach, it really is, you will not find the way yourself 😁 they told us, a very cool beach, I advise everyone, the beach is gorgeous, there were a lot of emotions after.
There is also a park (10-15 minutes walk to it), beautiful, large, the most suitable for children.
It's a long way to Dubai, by taxi there and back for Russian money 10t.r, they don't bargain, it's worth a trip once.
I recommend this hotel for those with children or for adults who want to cleanly lie on the beach for a swim, if you want to take a walk, then the hotel should be taken in Sharjah or Dubai)
If anyone is interested in a beach holiday, this hotel is for you. It is small with a green, well-groomed, clean territory. Everything is nearby! And the rooms, and the restaurant, and the beach, and the bar, and the pool. I'll tell you in order)
We arrived early in the morning, were immediately invited to breakfast, and then settled in. I was lucky, I didn't have to wait 12-13 hours. We lived in an old building, room 228. If you do not find fault with the cleaning, the fact that there are no towels, sometimes they forget to leave water, paper, then a great room) Dial the reception number and all questions are solved! Do you need an iron? They'll bring it. An adapter? You are welcome. There is even a fumigator. Keep in mind, in the evening, mosquitoes are just a fire on the balcony! If you do not open the windows at night, but use the air conditioner, then silence in the room is ensured. I can't hear any crows, cats, birds, or companies.
The food was at first surprised by the minimal menu selection. But everything is very tasty. Always meat, fish, chicken.Seafood.Delicious mashed soups. Super mushroom, seafood, tomato, creamy broccoli, and even orange! There was always rice, there were pasta, vegetables, even mashed potatoes. Salads are interesting, but delicious. Shrimp with cabbage is very spicy. Watermelon, melon, grapes, apples, kiwi.Pickled peaches, pineapple. Jelly and puddings made of sweets. Super croissants for breakfast. That's the problem with porridge, like water. Once it turned out to be normal semolina) Water, tea, coffee packaged always and for free. Juices too.
Many thanks to the cook, the kitchen staff and the girls who set and cleaned the dishes. Very attentive and unobtrusive service.
But the most important thing is the sea! Sand!
Fish, herons, Persian cormorant. Awesome Free towels, sun beds, awnings, shower on the beach, toilet with showers.
The bar is for those who have everything included. But you can buy it. A can of Coke is 0.33 - $4, for example. Canned beer, wine, vodka, rum, whiskey..
Tourists are mostly Russian, from different cities. All
We are open for communication, we got to know each other. There were Indians, Arabs, and Chinese.
Wonderful excursions are included from the hotel - crab hunting and a boat trip to see flamingos, turtles. It's fun and interesting! After the hunt, crab was served for dinner. From other hotels, these excursions come for a fee.
There are a lot of fishermen, they catch both day and night. Fishing is allowed in this place.
I am writing a review right in hot pursuit, we flew home today) 05/03/2024 We are absolutely delighted, we liked everything. It was the second time in the Emirates that we went for a vacation on the beach. This is when I went out and was already at sea. I went to lunch and again to the beach, to the beautiful sea. In the evening, after dinner, you sit and breathe in the sea air.
I would like to warn you, excursions have become more expensive. Abu Dhabi 110$, Dubai 85$..Flower Park $80,Safari,Indian Ocean...But it's worth it!
In general, I will definitely recommend the Flamingo for a vacation on the Persian Gulf.
It's very decent for three stars. Three fairly varied meals a day, clean room, attentive staff. Great beach. There is not much entertainment, for those who want a simple seal vacation. At the all-inclusive there is alcohol from 12 to 23 o'clock there is a bar on the beach. The hotel grounds are clean and well maintained.
The food is good. Respect to the cook. The meat was always soft and delicious. It's been two weeks. I really liked the crab soup.We took everything included . Beer, wine, cocktails and spirits are always available at the bar. What I didn't like: there were not enough sunbeds on the beach. On Saturday, when the locals arrived, they fenced off the territory for them and asked us to move over. It's just not very comfortable. Room 207 there is a water pump nearby, it is noisy from switching on.
Very quickly, you can describe the old Mind of Al Kuwein and its wonderful hotel Al Flamingo Resort to fans of the game Far Edge parts 1 and 6, it is especially similar to the tropical Yara under the leadership of dictator Anton Castillo. The same old two-storey hotel, designed according to the projects of the 1950s, with long balconies-corridors and shabby room doors, slightly neglected, rooms with spots of mold on the walls of bathrooms, but atmospheric and authentic, to the full feeling of deja vu!
The Flamingo Hotel is unlikely to appeal to a refined perfectionist who expects luxury comfort and perfect room decoration. Yes, the rooms are large and cool, comfortable, but they rather resemble Soviet camp sites or old British campgrounds, where people do not bother with the quality of decoration, but enjoy active tourism, beach holidays and fishing.
The first feeling is as if I got into the textures of the game with the Legends of the Revolution of 1967, somewhere in the vicinity of the Bay of Esperanza or Madrugada, in an old model hotel, left over from the colonialists, with an obligatory pool and beach. Where the soldiers of the FND, recently knocked out by the Libertad guerrillas, rested, you expect to meet the good-natured old man El Tigro.
The same slightly neglected place, but with cheerful cheerful staff, servants who try to serve you in every possible way, with a good cook and a small buffet kitchen. Moreover, the skill of the chefs is so high that we never wanted to add salt or pepper to the dishes, everything was very tasty!
Typical British colonial cuisine, with an Indian flavor of dishes for fans of vegan cuisine, with the indispensable curry and chickpea beans in almost all hot dishes, pudding and milk noodle soup. Delicious croissants are often served in the morning and fresh biscuits in the evening. But we northerners prefer juicy fruit salads with melons and watermelons, kiwis and apples.
We were greeted by a pleasant green oasis in the middle of an abandoned Bedouin village, whose residents recently moved into comfortable houses of the new Um Al Kuwein. The caring authorities of the Emirates are actively building and developing their cities, so even comfortable and sturdy Bedouin houses in old inhabited Arab neighborhoods quickly empty and turn into abandoned buildings for everyone.
Not everyone will like the Flamingo Hotel, it has drawbacks, it is located through a fence with a large port, which often smells of oil and cement, and the sounds of ships loading and unloading can be heard. But for those who do not live near ports, it is very interesting! On the other hand, there is a large marina for salty sailors arriving on their own boats and yachts, full of romance for single ladies!
The rooms do not shine with decoration, but are clean and comfortable. They are cool in the heat and spacious, with comfortable beds. Locks in cardboard doors and windows are only from honest people, so I do not advise leaving anything of value in the rooms. Although we left valuables and nothing was missing!
The small bay is full of fish and there are never big waves, very long shallow waters and even at distant floats you will touch the bottom with your toes. The high building of 5 floors, relatively recently erected right on the shore of the bay, has a greater depth and the bottom goes sharply under the water, but there is a float pier and boats are bustling. Everywhere on the beach there is good fine sand and clean sea water.
The area is typical for a beach hotel, palm trees, oases with grass and tropical shrubs with fragrant flowers, there is a pool with cold sea water, and a small pool with an elephant slide for kids. There are a lot of affectionate cats on the territory of the hotel, do not forget to bring them sweets from the restaurant. Even the crows have learned to meow here, counting on your treat! Desert big-eared foxes often come running in the evenings, let them get close to themselves and fight with cats for food.
There are a lot of fish in the bay! Bring small fishing rods and delicious bait, the fish are diverse, from striped clowns to dorado and king fish, which the locals call King fish and sell at the fish market for 40-50 dirhams per kg.
But it's not expensive yet, in Dubai you can buy it for 150 dirhams! We grilled it, very tasty and almost boneless.
Huge local shrimps for 20-30 dirhams are also great, they are baked juicy, in a crispy shell.
I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel, and I advise you to go to the city of Um Al Kuwein, for 10-15 dirhams by taxi with the whole family, to the beautiful beaches and deserted children's towns near them.
Yes, the central city beach is very reminiscent of the Bahamas or the islands of Spain, the same pure white sand and turquoise sea. On one side of the peninsula are beaches with calm water, on the other side is the raging Indian Ocean with high surfing waves and strong winds that lift large sea kites into flight, on which fans of this magnificent sport ride. Yes, they often fall and hurt themselves, but the sight of flying over the waves is very impressive!
The hotel came to us!
In general, if you are not a clean perfectionist and are unassuming about the decoration in the rooms, you will like it here, I promise! Fishing is good and trips to flamingos, crab hunting after sunset will greatly refresh your life.
Nice hotel. The price and quality are consistent. Excellent chefs and restaurant staff. The territory of the hotel is well maintained. Unfortunately, the sea is not always clean. There is a port nearby and apparently garbage is being dumped.
The hotel staff is polite.
Wishes: the water in the shower is quite cool, you need to heat the water. Towels and bed linen still need to be changed sometimes (they were wiped off with one towel all week, which has nowhere to dry).
In general, we are satisfied with the rest.
I recommend.
This is a good hotel for a beach holiday. You can smoke, the ashtrays are right at the exit of the rooms. The food is kishtyak, a buffet is available. The bar is open from 12:00 to 23:00. I recommend "All inclusive". The rooms are tired, but clean, cleaned regularly. The staff does not beg for tips. They don't speak Russian, but they understand it through words and sign language. The beach overlooks the bay, without waves. But there's a beach about a mile and a half away. The road is being repaired there now, but it's possible to get through.
The excursions are interesting, I recommend it.
The room stock is good. The food is delicious, the choice is not great, but from the heart. The beach is private. It is located a little away from the city, it's a long way on foot. There is an Indian village nearby, a little scary, but safe. You can walk to the local museum, there is nothing special in the museum, take pictures, just pass the time, the entrance ticket is like 5 dirhams. Since few people go to this hotel, the round-trip transfer was individual, on a Camry, comfortable, fast. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the evening, this is a minus. There are not many people in the hotel, locals like to relax, but they do not interfere at all. There is one free one-hour boat trip from the hotel. The rating is "4" only for the location, so the hotel is not bad.
A neat hotel with a small but very green area. The hotel organizes sea crab hunting and their preparation in the restaurant. The restaurant is compact, but clean and with the necessary range of dishes.
The staff is polite, helpful, attentive! The food is delicious, fish, beef, chicken👍Vegetables, fruits - everything is in abundance! The sea is warm, the weather in November is great, just a buzz! We are planning a trip again next November))
The hotel is amazing, there are not many people, the food is delicious, the staff is friendly, who dreams of a quiet, quiet, quiet, quiet holiday-then you are here, the territory is small, there is no animation, there is a swimming pool, no children, no music on the territory, but we got into their Ramadan fast, March 20-March 27That's why there were no guests yet, there were no corporate parties, but most importantly, who goes only to the sea,,,,, from the building to go to the beach for 30 seconds, I clocked😁. While there is not much territory around the Hotel, but the construction has turned global, there will soon be a fairy tale at the entrance to the hotel. But those who are aiming for excursions, this Emirate will not work, you will have to go for a long time on all excursions. Thanks
The food is delicious, the sea is under the window, there is a beach, a swimming pool, an entertainment program. The area is rapidly being improved, but there are also nearby neighborhoods of "slums", where everything is simple and inexpensive, people are hardworking and kind.
On the plus side, the hotel is located on the 1st line with its own beach.., you can go fishing😅, excellent food, there is good alcohol in the bar!!!
On the downside, almost 2 hours by transfer from Dubai airport, around the hotel there are slums that are under demolition..There is a small port nearby, lots of crows
A small, cozy, green hotel. At the water's edge. The food is very good. The hotel is absolutely not a party place. There is no entertainment either in the hotel or nearby. For a quiet relaxing holiday. There is a pier from which many fish. The beach is sandy. The entrance to the sea is normal. The beach area is small. There aren't a lot of deck chairs, but there are enough for everyone.
Drive from the airport to the hotel at 01:40. The hotel itself is beautiful, green territory, it is a protected area, the food is delicious, although not very diverse, there were almost no sweets. 90% of vacationers are Russian-speaking, many tourists come on weekends, celebrate all kinds of holidays. My husband and I got into Ramadan, alcohol is tight there and there is no holiday, but on a holiday it is absolutely a disaster. Those with everything included were given beer, rum, wine, and soda in bags. There are 2 large malls in this city, this network is called Lulu. We drove to the nearest small one (about 10 minutes) (it has 2 floors, one with groceries, the second with clothes and household goods) in 5 dirhams (if you catch yourself on the road, it's more expensive through the hotel), it takes longer to go to the big one (about 20 minutes), but it has fast food and shops He's more interesting. Alcohol is sold in a liquor store, according to a passport. It takes about 15 minutes to get to it from the hotel. There is NO Russian-speaking staff at the hotel. Translation via phone from Russian to English. Tour operator Biblio Globus, where it is called Voyage Tours. At the airport, we were met upon arrival, distributed by minibuses, taken to the hotel, the next day there was a meeting with the guide, they wrote to whatsapp themselves and told us what time the meeting was, when we left tranfer was delayed for 45 minutes, because of this we had time at the airport to get stuck. We arrived at the hotel for a rest at 9:20 in the morning, we were registered, offered to go for breakfast, at that time a room was prepared for us. We were pleasantly surprised, because in theory we were supposed to be settled at 12 o'clock, not earlier. The staff has 5 stars for their responsiveness. We were offered 2 excursions from the hotel for free: To see flamingos on a boat and to hunt crabs (but not in March, they have a breeding season). They catch fish on pantone and it's not bad enough, the guys caught something like catfish with us, 1.5-2 kilograms each fish. In general, there is a paradise on the territory of the hotel. I didn't like the area in which he was located. And the tour operator has expensive excursions. For a sightseeing tour to Dubai, we paid $ 70 per person, taking into account the fact that there will be at least 5 people from the hotel, as well as $ 85. We ran everywhere, took pictures and got on the bus, we were not fed anywhere, although the tour was from 13h departure from the hotel, and returned at 21:30. I expected more, I was just upset. Because of this, I'm removing the star from the entire comment.
Every day there is water and cleaning, the room is simple, not laggy. The food is delicious. It's always beef/chicken/fish. Fruits are required. Well, the first coastal class, of course. Helpful staff, you want an iron, you want a volleyball ball.
The hotel is very poorly located in all plans((
Firstly, this is a very distant Emirate, there is no transport connection to Dubai, we took a taxi to Ajman (it costs about 60 dirhams, there is no point in haggling, all taxis go by the meter, prices are the same everywhere) then by bus from Ajman to Dubai (15 dirhams, but you must definitely buy a transport card, cash is not they accept it, it costs 25 dirhams, of which 19 are already in the balance, they used the same card to ride the subway in Dubai)
There is no transfer from the hotel itself((
Secondly, the hotel itself was built in an extremely unfortunate location, located on the outskirts of the Emirate among wastelands and abandoned buildings. The sea is a different story, it's not the Persian Gulf, but the strait flowing into it, the water is dirty and smelly, it's also fenced with buoys 5 meters away, you can't swim normally, a large cargo port borders next to the fence, not the most successful neighborhood, So we didn't swim there, but walked 20-30 minutes to another from the peninsula to the Persian Gulf, there is a desert, long endless beaches with insanely beautiful water (but there is a disadvantage, you will have to go to it through the Indian quarter with garbage and slums). But the sea is really incredibly beautiful and has a huge deserted coastline. If you are not a fan of the small private beaches of Sharjah and Dubai, then you are definitely here)
Among the advantages of the hotel: delicious food, cheap price, nature and its own territory (unlike hotels in Sharjah, Dubai and Ajman)
We took this hotel solely because of the cost and good rating (unfortunately, we didn't really read the reviews).
We had a great rest, but I'm not going back there anymore! Sharjah is still the most optimal in terms of price and location)
The hotel is a class for retirement holidays. Calm atmosphere, friendly, unobtrusive staff. The territory is small, there is not much place to walk. The beach has its own, but it is also small, like the hotel itself. But everything is very cozy, homely. After a couple of days, it was like we were all in the same garden plot, frying shrimp on coals, and the like.
In the neighborhood, outside the hotel, there is already complete authenticity, with all its nuances. You can't go out on the boardwalk. The only thing that saved me from panicking when walking to the hotel from the store was the music of the band naphtha in headphones, which transported me to my personal safe world.
To the nearest supermarket by taxi or a very long walk. To lie down with a starfish - this hotel is perfect. Minus a star for the meager menu in the restaurant. Sooooo outright three-stardom. It's been more diverse.
For coffee lovers, excuse me, coffee in bags.
The hotel is not three stars, but two. The room is very sad, especially the bathroom, apparently it has not been renovated for a long time. The territory is small, but well maintained. The staff is polite. Of course, the food is for an amateur, we had breakfast and dinner included. Of course, you won't stay hungry, but it's very sad from the choice. The beach is like grandma's in the village of rechka, not a bay, but its pool on the territory of the hotel. If you go all the way to the Persian Gulf, then it takes about 30 minutes to walk, there's a wild beach, but it's really great!!! In February, the water temperature is 22-24, which is the maximum, with an air temperature of 30. Where do such positive thoughts come from? Why don't I know?. In general, I do not recommend this particular Emirate, for 145,000 rubles for two, you could find a decent one. But it was the first time....
The hotel has a good location on the first line. There is a small pier from where boats depart to the islands with flamingos and crab hunting. The territory is quite large and green. There is a swimming pool. The food is delicious and varied. The airport is 1 hour away by car.
The hotel already has 3 stars
I liked the rest on the whole. Good night, delicious, pleasant
The food is very tasty. We took it without lunch, but you can take it on the spot for 66 dirhams (1250 rubles) for lunch per adult, lunch is free for a child.
There are always places in the restaurant.
Small croissants are made from baking in the morning.
Of sweet jelly and biscuits, and of course fruits.
The room is old enough, but if the room is the main thing on vacation, then it will not suit you. Don't forget that there are other outlets here, but you can buy an adapter at the on-site store.
Cleaning every day. There is a kettle, hairdryer, TV, air conditioning.
The territory is very neat and beautiful. There is a children's pool and an adult. There are quite a lot of sun beds.
There is a grill area - you can cook on your own, coal and firewood are also available in the shop.
There are souvenirs in the shop - not much, and mostly the most necessary things can be bought.
The staff is friendly, they speak English, a little Russian. Money can be exchanged at the reception.
There are no animators and children's entertainment separately, but once there was a foam party in the pool.
The beach is not big, but it is closed. The tide is often high and low. There are a lot of fish, fishermen catch right on the pier. Birds dive to catch fish. There is a port nearby, separated by a fence. And it's not visible.
Guided Tours - There are 2 free guided tours at the hotel. You can go by boat for 1 hour to see flamingos and many other animals. And crab fishing, but it's not available in March.
Excursions to the UAE are diverse, but my child and I visited only the sightseeing Dubai, it was worth it, but the road to the Emirate of Dubai will take about 2 hours, taking into account the gathering of other vacationers.
The road - it takes about 1.5 hours to get from Dubai airport, but in a comfortable minivan.
There is nowhere to walk around the hotel, and there is nothing to see. But it takes 10-15 minutes by taxi to the nearest shopping center, where you can buy almost everything. The cost of a taxi in one direction starts from 15-20 dirhams, and the taxi driver will return for you.
Upon departure, there is a very small duty free at the airport, so it is better to buy souvenirs on excursions or in the city.
The reviews wrote about other noisy guests on weekends - we did not find them, perhaps it depends on the vacationers and their upbringing.
But there are cats and crows on the territory, so they scream a little loudly in the morning)
The Troika Hotel.. All right.. Everything is fine with the food and the territory. Cons with a beach nearby like a mini port, they sometimes dump it, they get a plaque on their body a couple of times, the room cleaning is symbolic, they pretend that the bed hasn't been changed for a week, they just put mine in the right place, like it changed.. there's no hot water in the evenings, it's warm, you can't wash normally, and the contrast behind it is you get into a creepy ghetto,..
A nice quiet hotel with good cuisine and helpful staff. A sandy beach with a smooth approach, what you need for a holiday with children. Naturally, there are no disadvantages, far from the airport, there is nowhere to go outside the hotel. Tired rooms, the hotel is budget and not young, you should not expect anything supernatural. If you want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and just soak up the sun, this hotel is for you.
An atypical UAE. There are no skyscrapers in Umm al Quwain itself. The hotel is located in the old part, which is more like a village with dense single-storey buildings. No urbanism. Moreover, along the main new roads, you will see ruins. The village is being slowly resettled, and it looks like they are making room for high-rise buildings and hotels. On one side of the hotel is the cargo port, on the other is the new embankment, which was recently opened. You can walk to the bay, through a broken section of the fence, and get to the beach, which, apparently, has been prepared for the future of the hotel. But you can't stay there in the evening, the locals say you have to leave, we once had a patrol car with flashing lights. The Flamingo Hotel itself is not new, it is even tired somewhere. There is a new block. On weekends, the hotel turns into a campsite (locals come for a picnic, we got to team building). It is located on the shore of a lagoon, not a bay. That's why there are never waves. There are a lot of animals in the water, I advise you to buy slippers for swimming. The hotel offers one free group boat trip to the mangroves to see flamingos. The second free entertainment - crab hunting is not carried out. They said they had imposed a ban. For fishing enthusiasts! Fish are caught ONLY on bottom gear, I advise you to take mormyshki for small fish from the pier. Wobblers, spinners, and turntables don't work. A pilker (30g) works, which also needs to walk along the bottom. The best bait is squid or cuttlefish tentacles, which can be caught under the pier after sunset on the blue pilker. The catch can be cooked on the barbecue in the same place on the territory of the hotel. Grate, charcoal, and ignition can be purchased at the hotel's convenience store, but it's expensive. It's cheaper to get a taxi for 10-15 dirhams and drive to the nearest Lulu supermarket and buy everything there. There are a couple of alcohol markets in the city, but not all taxi drivers will be able to take you there, perhaps for reasons of faith. You can find them on Yandex.Maps, just type "alcohol market" in the search. By eating outside the hotel in the village. I'll say it right away, not for the squeamish. But if you like spicy food, I advise you to walk to the cafe Restaurant Al Fahad. For 10-15 dirhams, you can buy a portion of food that will be enough for lunch and dinner. Very hot sauces, it will be neat. On the left, 15 meters away, there is a grocery store, where you can buy shrimp and take it to a cafe, they cook very well, and ask for empty rice, without salt and spices. It is necessary to come after 15.00. Because by this time the FORHAD manager arrives, only he communicates with tourists. He knows a little English, but we spoke through a translator in Bengali.
Result. If you like to travel outside the city, love nature and all kinds of wildlife - this is your option.
Relaxation, polite staff, almost homemade cuisine, small and green area. Slightly tired rooms.Clean sea and beach.A bonus from the hotel is two free excursions, flamingos and night crab fishing.
It's great for 3 stars. Delicious varied food. Room cleaning is daily, free water and towels are brought every day, there are always pleasant local products for washing the body and head, not one-size-fits-all, a pair of toothbrushes were given upon arrival.
We rented a car, it helped a lot, you can't hit a taxi. If you are interested in a relaxing beach holiday, I recommend it. In other cases, you should think about rental transport or choose a place closer to your vacation goals!
We rested on the beach in the morning, and drove around the cities in the afternoon. We went to Dubai a couple of times, once to Sharjah, and went daily to the center of the emirate of Um Al Qawain.
Within walking distance is a gorgeous free public beach with steam beds, umbrellas, fine sand, clean water, toilets, lifeguards, etc. with a minimum of people.
There is a cargo port outside the hotel, it did not interfere much, but on certain days when there was loading, the sounds of crane servos were heard, including at night.
Also, a new road is being built along the hotel, there are sounds of construction equipment, in our opinion it is not critical, local birds are screaming louder)
The buffet and varied menu didn't change much during the week, but it didn't get boring in a week. There was a lot of food, we came to dinner at 22:20, there was almost everything (dinner ended at 22:30). We had a rest during Ramadan, so the bar was closed, but you could order alcohol in the room (free of charge if Everything is included). Sun beds are better by the pool or on the beach, preferably in advance. During our vacation, almost all Russians are in. Locals didn't come to corporate parties). We communicated through a translator on the phone in English. The rooms in the old building are tired, but the rooms are cleaned every day. Guided tours can be booked through a guide. It's a bit expensive to get to Dubai by taxi, we managed to get there in about 250-280 dirhams.
It's a good three. According to some signs, it seemed that this was a former foursome. At least the restaurant is like a foursome. The food is delicious, without any special frills. Hummus was especially delicious. All the dishes were updated very quickly. A nice pool of different depths. A sufficient number of sun loungers. The beach is for three. The territory is small, but cozy, green. A lot of cats live there. In the evenings, two desert foxes came. In general, I liked the hotel.
It's a great hotel. Almost all of the visitors are Russian.
The sea lagoon allows you to swim regardless of the weather and wind direction, which cannot be said about the Persian Gulf itself. The salinity of the water is simply off the charts. The water doesn't just hold you, it pushes you out, and you can't drown here at all.
Wildlife is teeming both on land and in water. Geckos, birds, rays, cuttlefish, fish, crabs, snails... We really enjoyed it.
The staff is caring, they try very hard.
I shot the video for my mom*
I liked everything, a good hotel, water nearby, a swimming pool, delicious food, everything is inclusive, generally gorgeous. Take your fishing rods, you can go fishing from the pier, the staff is polite.
Two opinions and impressions about the hotel. The territory is nice and green, the beach is small when the tide is out there is nowhere to swim.If you like fishing, then here, there are a lot of different fish, you will not stay without a catch. The staff is polite and nice. The rooms are large, there is a kettle, coffee, tea, water was replenished every day.We arrived at the hotel when the Ramadan fast was, there were few people, But by the end of the fast, local Hindus, Kti people arrived and the horror began, it was not possible to sleep, there was noise, children ran around the building, men smoked right outside the rooms, the window could not be opened. We went swimming on a great beach, a beautiful clear sea, there are no people, beauty!!!!go min25.There is a ruined village around the hotel, there is nowhere to go out in the evening, if you only buy breakfast on tour, then there is nowhere to go out for dinner in the evening, and it is not very profitable to buy dinner at the hotel, 66 dirhams, our money turns out to be almost two thousand per person.By taxi for 10-5 dirhams you can get to the nearest li-lu store, but the prices can not say that it is cheap to buy groceries.I understand that in a couple of years this Emirate will be reconstructed and it will be beautiful there, but now there is devastation. They make a beautiful embankment, we walked there, but it is still closed.Result:food-5,reception staff,restaurant-5,beach-4 (like our Gulf of Finland, it's better to go to a wild beach)If the locals did not come at the exit or behaved quietly in the evening, then it would be possible to come to the Flamingo Hotel for a vacation.Territory-5
I didn't like it. Instead of the sea, there is a puddle. A nice beach is a 20-minute walk away, surrounded by trash cans and ruins. The food in the hotel is satisfactory, the territory is very small, although well-groomed, There are a lot of hungry cats, sometimes sand foxes run in. From Thursday to Saturday, the locals have a rest and there is such a noise until 1:00 a.m. that it is impossible to rest from the word at all.
The usual three. I don't recommend it.
Guys, this is a three-piece in the Emirates. Don't expect miracles and variety. Breakfasts and dinners consist of the same set of dishes, there is no coffee beans, juice bags are the cheapest. The private beach is very small and it was occupied by cats, for whom it is a huge tray. It's easy to get your foot in a cat mine. For some reason, no one writes that it is almost impossible to swim on this beach: despite the shallow depth, a strong current constantly blows away. And where there is shallow water, there is a strip of slimy algae, so it is not suitable for children. The room stock is old and tired. The cleaning is mediocre. As for the area, look at the map before you go. The location does not imply that you will take walks from the hotel on your own. Just a taxi.
