Best Value for Money resort . The rooms are upgraded and look much nicer now . The surroundings and beachfront is very relaxing . The resort has its own private beach access .

We had a vacation with my husband for a week in February. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. It is located in a quiet place, the food is delicious, there is always something to eat, but a little variety and less acid in salads would brighten up our meal. We lived in a room with a magnificent view of the pier. The water is clean, cool, but you can swim, there are a lot of fish, my husband caught, and we grilled.
There are 2 large lulu stores. GO straight to the second one, it's a little further away, but it's much cooler. There are groceries, clothes, cosmetics, and everything.
Everyone should meet the sunset on a wild beach)) but as a last resort, the police kicked us out because there was a construction site, a port, and so on. But the water is warmer there and the waves are frothy.
As for the excursions, if there are a lot of Russians, you can cooperate and it will be much cheaper)))

The sea is right next to the balcony! They take you on an excursion to the flamingos! There is a small shop on site where you can buy chocolate, souvenirs, suntan products and much more - it's very convenient! The pool is for children and adults, but not heated. There is almost nothing outside the hotel. In theory, you can walk to the shops (about 30 minutes one way), but you can call a taxi at the reception and go to the cool shops in the city: lulu (we recommend the far one, which is big), and who needs to go to the liquor store

We had a rest with my husband from October 20 to November 2 in the new building. The rooms are excellent, spacious, comfortable bed, there is a workplace: an armchair and a coffee table. Good Internet connection allowed you to work remotely.
The food in the restaurant is not very diverse, but everything is delicious, especially the fish in batter, although there are no companions in taste and color. Thanks to the chef. I recommend taking "all inclusive", otherwise you will have to buy all alcoholic and carbonated drinks. And the prices are quite high.
The sea is for every taste. The hotel is always quiet and peaceful, as it is a bay, the warmest 30 degrees. If you leave the hotel and walk along the new road to the right, then the sea is open, turquoise and there may be waves. And if you don't need the sea, then you can swim in the pool.
We had a wonderful rest, I recommend the hotel for a relaxing family holiday, not for young people. We will be happy to come back ourselves. Thanks to all the staff of the hotel, the maids, the bartender, the managers at the reception, the canteen staff.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Flamingo Hotel. I would give this hotel a solid four.

Everything is very tasty and a lot!!! The waiters and the bartender are very pleasant and helpful people! It's all positive and friendly! We were vacationing with a friend, the room was 112. We were in March 2025 (actually, that's where I'm writing from). We took a Premium room (second floor, with a balcony directly above the sea). The room is nice and spacious, with a large enough refrigerator, a TV (we didn't turn it on) and a separate WiFi router in the room (15-20 Mbps, so there have been no problems so far). The plumbing is not "dead", although the shower cabin is a triple. The territory is green and clean. The beach is being cleaned. But there's not much to swim from this beach (just splash around near the shore). So we go swimming on the opposite side of the peninsula, to the "wild" beach (25 minutes walk). There is no one there and you can swim to your heart's content. The breakfasts (we only took them) are good, varied, and buffet style. Now it seems that only Russians are vacationing in the hotel, but not very much - there are always places in the restaurant and on the beach. In general, a good "three-piece" (in my experience, I would say 3.5 is better than the standard three-piece, but it falls a little short of the normal four). In general, it is recommended for those who are not too demanding.

Do you need an iron? They'll bring it. An adapter? You are welcome. There is even a fumigator. Keep in mind, in the evening, mosquitoes are just a fire on the balcony! If you do not open the windows at night, but use the air conditioner, then silence in the room is ensured. I can't hear any crows, cats, birds, or companies.
The food was at first surprised by the minimal menu selection. But everything is very tasty. Always meat, fish, chicken.Seafood.Delicious mashed soups. The Flamingo Hotel is unlikely to appeal to a refined perfectionist who expects luxury comfort and perfect room decoration. Yes, the rooms are large and cool, comfortable, but they rather resemble Soviet camp sites or old British campgrounds, where people do not bother with the quality of decoration, but enjoy active tourism, beach holidays and fishing.
The first feeling is as if I got into the textures of the game with the Legends of the Revolution of 1967, somewhere in the vicinity of the Bay of Esperanza or Madrugada, in an old model hotel, left over from the colonialists, with an obligatory pool and beach. Where the soldiers of the FND, recently knocked out by the Libertad guerrillas, rested, you expect to meet the good-natured old man El Tigro.
The same slightly neglected place, but with cheerful cheerful staff, servants who try to serve you in every possible way, with a good cook and a small buffet kitchen. Moreover, the skill of the chefs is so high that we never wanted to add salt or pepper to the dishes, everything was very tasty!
Typical British colonial cuisine, with an Indian flavor of dishes for fans of vegan cuisine, with the indispensable curry and chickpea beans in almost all hot dishes, pudding and milk noodle soup. Delicious croissants are often served in the morning and fresh biscuits in the evening. But we northerners prefer juicy fruit salads with melons and watermelons, kiwis and apples.
We were greeted by a pleasant green oasis in the middle of an abandoned Bedouin village, whose residents recently moved into comfortable houses of the new Um Al Kuwein. The caring authorities of the Emirates are actively building and developing their cities, so even comfortable and sturdy Bedouin houses in old inhabited Arab neighborhoods quickly empty and turn into abandoned buildings for everyone.
Not everyone will like the Flamingo Hotel, it has drawbacks, it is located through a fence with a large port, which often smells of oil and cement, and the sounds of ships loading and unloading can be heard. But for those who do not live near ports, it is very interesting! On the other hand, there is a large marina for salty sailors arriving on their own boats and yachts, full of romance for single ladies!
The rooms do not shine with decoration, but are clean and comfortable. They are cool in the heat and spacious, with comfortable beds. Locks in cardboard doors and windows are only from honest people, so I do not advise leaving anything of value in the rooms. Although we left valuables and nothing was missing!
The small bay is full of fish and there are never big waves, very long shallow waters and even at distant floats you will touch the bottom with your toes. The high building of 5 floors, relatively recently erected right on the shore of the bay, has a greater depth and the bottom goes sharply under the water, but there is a float pier and boats are bustling. Everywhere on the beach there is good fine sand and clean sea water.
The area is typical for a beach hotel, palm trees, oases with grass and tropical shrubs with fragrant flowers, there is a pool with cold sea water, and a small pool with an elephant slide for kids. There are a lot of affectionate cats on the territory of the hotel, do not forget to bring them sweets from the restaurant. Even the crows have learned to meow here, counting on your treat! Desert big-eared foxes often come running in the evenings, let them get close to themselves and fight with cats for food.
There are a lot of fish in the bay! Bring small fishing rods and delicious bait, the fish are diverse, from striped clowns to dorado and king fish, which the locals call King fish and sell at the fish market for 40-50 dirhams per kg.
But it's not expensive yet, in Dubai you can buy it for 150 dirhams! We grilled it, very tasty and almost boneless.
Huge local shrimps for 20-30 dirhams are also great, they are baked juicy, in a crispy shell.
I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel, and I advise you to go to the city of Um Al Kuwein, for 10-15 dirhams by taxi with the whole family, to the beautiful beaches and deserted children's towns near them.
Yes, the central city beach is very reminiscent of the Bahamas or the islands of Spain, the same pure white sand and turquoise sea. On one side of the peninsula are beaches with calm water, on the other side is the raging Indian Ocean with high surfing waves and strong winds that lift large sea kites into flight, on which fans of this magnificent sport ride. Yes, they often fall and hurt themselves, but the sight of flying over the waves is very impressive!

This is a good hotel for a beach holiday. You can smoke, the ashtrays are right at the exit of the rooms. The food is kishtyak, a buffet is available. The bar is open from 12:00 to 23:00. I recommend "All inclusive". The rooms are tired, but clean, cleaned regularly. The staff does not beg for tips. They don't speak Russian, but they understand it through words and sign language. The beach overlooks the bay, without waves. But there's a beach about a mile and a half away. The road is being repaired there now, but it's possible to get through.

We drove to the nearest small one (about 10 minutes) (it has 2 floors, one with groceries, the second with clothes and household goods) in 5 dirhams (if you catch yourself on the road, it's more expensive through the hotel), it takes longer to go to the big one (about 20 minutes), but it has fast food and shops He's more interesting. Alcohol is sold in a liquor store, according to a passport. It takes about 15 minutes to get to it from the hotel. There is NO Russian-speaking staff at the hotel. Firstly, this is a very distant Emirate, there is no transport connection to Dubai, we took a taxi to Ajman (it costs about 60 dirhams, there is no point in haggling, all taxis go by the meter, prices are the same everywhere) then by bus from Ajman to Dubai (15 dirhams, but you must definitely buy a transport card, cash is not they accept it, it costs 25 dirhams, of which 19 are already in the balance, they used the same card to ride the subway in Dubai)

Secondly, the hotel itself was built in an extremely unfortunate location, located on the outskirts of the Emirate among wastelands and abandoned buildings. The sea is a different story, it's not the Persian Gulf, but the strait flowing into it, the water is dirty and smelly, it's also fenced with buoys 5 meters away, you can't swim normally, a large cargo port borders next to the fence, not the most successful neighborhood, So we didn't swim there, but walked 20-30 minutes to another from the peninsula to the Persian Gulf, there is a desert, long endless beaches with insanely beautiful water (but there is a disadvantage, you will have to go to it through the Indian quarter with garbage and slums). But the sea is really incredibly beautiful and has a huge deserted coastline. If you are not a fan of the small private beaches of Sharjah and Dubai, then you are definitely here)

The hotel is a class for retirement holidays. Calm atmosphere, friendly, unobtrusive staff. The territory is small, there is not much place to walk. The beach has its own, but it is also small, like the hotel itself. But everything is very cozy, homely. After a couple of days, it was like we were all in the same garden plot, frying shrimp on coals, and the like.
In the neighborhood, outside the hotel, there is already complete authenticity, with all its nuances. You can't go out on the boardwalk. The only thing that saved me from panicking when walking to the hotel from the store was the music of the band naphtha in headphones, which transported me to my personal safe world.
To the nearest supermarket by taxi or a very long walk. To lie down with a starfish - this hotel is perfect. Minus a star for the meager menu in the restaurant. Sooooo outright three-stardom. It's been more diverse.

In February, the water temperature is 22-24, which is the maximum, with an air temperature of 30. Where do such positive thoughts come from? Why don't I know?. The food is very tasty. We took it without lunch, but you can take it on the spot for 66 dirhams (1250 rubles) for lunch per adult, lunch is free for a child.
There are always places in the restaurant.
Small croissants are made from baking in the morning.
Of sweet jelly and biscuits, and of course fruits.
The room is old enough, but if the room is the main thing on vacation, then it will not suit you. Don't forget that there are other outlets here, but you can buy an adapter at the on-site store.
Cleaning every day. There is a kettle, hairdryer, TV, air conditioning.
The territory is very neat and beautiful. There is a children's pool and an adult. There are quite a lot of sun beds.
There is a grill area - you can cook on your own, coal and firewood are also available in the shop.
There are souvenirs in the shop - not much, and mostly the most necessary things can be bought.
The staff is friendly, they speak English, a little Russian. Money can be exchanged at the reception.
There are no animators and children's entertainment separately, but once there was a foam party in the pool.
The beach is not big, but it is closed. The tide is often high and low. There are a lot of fish, fishermen catch right on the pier. Birds dive to catch fish. There is a port nearby, separated by a fence. And it's not visible.

Excursions to the UAE are diverse, but my child and I visited only the sightseeing Dubai, it was worth it, but the road to the Emirate of Dubai will take about 2 hours, taking into account the gathering of other vacationers.
The road - it takes about 1.5 hours to get from Dubai airport, but in a comfortable minivan.
There is nowhere to walk around the hotel, and there is nothing to see. But it takes 10-15 minutes by taxi to the nearest shopping center, where you can buy almost everything. The cost of a taxi in one direction starts from 15-20 dirhams, and the taxi driver will return for you.
Upon departure, there is a very small duty free at the airport, so it is better to buy souvenirs on excursions or in the city.
The reviews wrote about other noisy guests on weekends - we did not find them, perhaps it depends on the vacationers and their upbringing.
But there are cats and crows on the territory, so they scream a little loudly in the morning)

An atypical UAE. There are no skyscrapers in Umm al Quwain itself. The hotel is located in the old part, which is more like a village with dense single-storey buildings. No urbanism. On one side of the hotel is the cargo port, on the other is the new embankment, which was recently opened. You can walk to the bay, through a broken section of the fence, and get to the beach, which, apparently, has been prepared for the future of the hotel. But you can't stay there in the evening, the locals say you have to leave, we once had a patrol car with flashing lights. The Flamingo Hotel itself is not new, it is even tired somewhere. There is a new block. On weekends, the hotel turns into a campsite (locals come for a picnic, we got to team building). It is located on the shore of a lagoon, not a bay. That's why there are never waves. There are a lot of animals in the water, I advise you to buy slippers for swimming. The hotel offers one free group boat trip to the mangroves to see flamingos. The second free entertainment - crab hunting is not carried out. They said they had imposed a ban. For fishing enthusiasts! Fish are caught ONLY on bottom gear, I advise you to take mormyshki for small fish from the pier. Wobblers, spinners, and turntables don't work. A pilker (30g) works, which also needs to walk along the bottom. The best bait is squid or cuttlefish tentacles, which can be caught under the pier after sunset on the blue pilker. The catch can be cooked on the barbecue in the same place on the territory of the hotel. Grate, charcoal, and ignition can be purchased at the hotel's convenience store, but it's expensive. It's cheaper to get a taxi for 10-15 dirhams and drive to the nearest Lulu supermarket and buy everything there. There are a couple of alcohol markets in the city, but not all taxi drivers will be able to take you there, perhaps for reasons of faith. It's great for 3 stars. Delicious varied food. Room cleaning is daily, free water and towels are brought every day, there are always pleasant local products for washing the body and head, not one-size-fits-all, a pair of toothbrushes were given upon arrival.
We rented a car, it helped a lot, you can't hit a taxi. If you are interested in a relaxing beach holiday, I recommend it. In other cases, you should think about rental transport or choose a place closer to your vacation goals!
We rested on the beach in the morning, and drove around the cities in the afternoon. We went to Dubai a couple of times, once to Sharjah, and went daily to the center of the emirate of Um Al Qawain.
Within walking distance is a gorgeous free public beach with steam beds, umbrellas, fine sand, clean water, toilets, lifeguards, etc. with a minimum of people.
There is a cargo port outside the hotel, it did not interfere much, but on certain days when there was loading, the sounds of crane servos were heard, including at night.
Also, a new road is being built along the hotel, there are sounds of construction equipment, in our opinion it is not critical, local birds are screaming louder)

It's a great hotel. Almost all of the visitors are Russian.
The sea lagoon allows you to swim regardless of the weather and wind direction, which cannot be said about the Persian Gulf itself. The salinity of the water is simply off the charts. The water doesn't just hold you, it pushes you out, and you can't drown here at all.
Wildlife is teeming both on land and in water. Geckos, birds, rays, cuttlefish, fish, crabs, snails... We really enjoyed it.

Guys, this is a three-piece in the Emirates. Don't expect miracles and variety. Breakfasts and dinners consist of the same set of dishes, there is no coffee beans, juice bags are the cheapest. The private beach is very small and it was occupied by cats, for whom it is a huge tray. It's easy to get your foot in a cat mine. For some reason, no one writes that it is almost impossible to swim on this beach: despite the shallow depth, a strong current constantly blows away. And where there is shallow water, there is a strip of slimy algae, so it is not suitable for children. The room stock is old and tired. The cleaning is mediocre. As for the area, look at the map before you go. The location does not imply that you will take walks from the hotel on your own. Just a taxi.
