We cannot but express our indignation at the disgusting organization of holidays at the Filitheyo Island Resort, belonging to the AAA Hotels&Resorts chain in the Maldives.
We timed the trip to coincide with my husband's birthday. As a result, we received a lot of negative impressions and stress. This is not our first time in the Maldives, tourists "with experience"" and are able to assess the quality of service (there is something to compare it with). For example, before that, in March 2023, we vacationed in the Maldives at the Kuredu Island Retsort resort, also a water villa, full board, it was then half cheaper than at Filitheyo Island Resort, and we were delighted with the rest at Kuredu.
The contract was concluded with the Travel Agency MARCELINE TRAVEL LLC, which booked a tour package from the Tour Operator Proto LLC (aka Pantheon). We were sold a tour with accommodation like 4**** . In reality, the hotel in some positions falls short of 3***.
The mass of negative reviews from tourists about this resort proves once again that it is far from 4**** .
Were there representatives of Proto LLC (Pantheon) and Marceline Travel LLC personally at this resort? Have they seen all the shortcomings of the resort? It is unlikely!!!
Official evidence about the status of this accommodation facility, as 4**** We didn't get it. There is no indication of 4* on any letterhead, document, signboard in the hotel, or on the hotel logo. In the documents that we received, there is no information about the category, class or type of hotel according to the Maldivian classification system and, moreover, according to the international (most traditional) star classification.
All Licenses and Certificates must be presented on the website of the accommodation facility.
I contacted a representative of the AAA Hotels&Resorts hotel chain in Russia, which includes Filitheyo Island Resort. The answer was given: "The Ministry of Tourism of the Maldives has confirmed the absence of an official classification of hotels in the Republic."
Our motive for coming to this resort was to advertise an excellent home reef (supposedly it is one of the best in the Maldives). And he did not fully meet our expectations. The water was often muddy, strong current, few large fish, etc. We

A great resort hotel. The service is at the highest level. The underwater world is rich in variety and number of wildlife. You can rent everything you need for scuba diving at the dive center. The food in the restaurant is delicious with a huge selection of dishes for every taste. There is one bar with billiards and darts, and a second sunset bar with a swimming pool.

Quiet, calm, cozy. It is better to take a hut on the shore - the ocean does not interfere with sleep. The ocean is beautiful
