The Church of St. George in the village of Jer (in Georgian, Geri) in South Ossetia was built earlier than 1855.

This place is known as "Djery dzuar Uastyrdzhi" – lit. "Uastyrdzhi Jewish Sanctuary".

It's an uplifting place, you definitely need to get there. Magnificent view of the valley of Kura and Gori. In dry weather, even a jeep is not needed, but four-wheel drive is better, as well as many places in Iryston.
