Memorable views, remains, doors, frescoes... But as in the entire part, the lights are off, the buildings are not closed for repairs, and the monuments are in poor condition. They seem to be being watched, but they don't seem to be at all. It is very interesting how 4 wives and concubines lived. And why did they hang the hat on the hook)
For the rulers of the eastern states, it has long been customary to build magnificent palaces in order to show the strength of the state in order to live, patronize, welcome guests. Palaces were considered the place where the Khan and his loved ones lived, where public services were performed. Therefore, it has come down to us without a holistic architecture. Khiva has not one, but several Khan palaces Khamon. One of these is the famous stone courtyard Palace of Ollogulikhan.
The best achievements of folk Masters in the field of architectural ornament and monumental applied art are embodied in the decoration of the walls of the harem. The plant-like gireh pattern of large glazed pannos on the walls of the porch, the decorations on them are not very similar to each other. The wood carving on the columns and doors, on the other hand, is particularly elegantly executed.
In relation to the fertile courtyard, the excavations, dolon and nursery are much more inconspicuous. The open hearth lips darken the walls and ceilings of the excavation. The dolon, which connects the women's porch with the Khan's dwelling, is only slightly illuminated by the holes at the top. A number of semi-dark dolon-rooms had to be traversed in order to get to the attic or the attic.
The next Built place of the palace is the hotel building. Its layout is similar to that of a quarry in a stone courtyard and a lookout in a coven Arch. The haram section of the stone courtyard Palace housed the History Museum from 1945-1983. After the renovation work started in 1976, the Museum of Khwarazm khunarmandism was opened in the harem courtyard as an exposition. This exposition is still in operation today.
The stone courtyard Palace has been renovated several times as a result of the years. Parts of the hotel and armory of the stone courtyard Palace were renovated and opened in 2001 for the purpose of demonstrating to travelers. In these courtyards are located interiors “Devonbegi”, “Mirzo” and “Fire”.

One of the most beautiful places in Khiva! The palace has 2 parts with different entrances from different streets: the harem is separate, the other two courtyards with the museum are separate. Both are included in the general ticket and are worthy of a visit, don't miss it!
As wiki writes: Tash-Khauli is a palace complex in Khiva (Uzbekistan), the main palace of Khiva khans in the XIX century. Very beautiful. Now there is a museum with interesting exhibits telling about the distant life of the ancestors!
A good place, only through one shop sellers want to fool tourists- they sold compote for 350 thousand soums, for 800 thousand they sold poor-quality chopon and did not want to return the money. I had to contact the police. It's good that they have a department for protecting the rights of tourists.
Khiva is an interesting town. There are a lot of interesting things. We really liked it

The history is 2.5 thousand years old. Silk Road, khans harem, kitchen. Friendly people and great weather. All this contributes to a pleasant experience!
I cannot single out this particular palace - there are many of them in Old Khiva. You need to take a three-hour tour and you will be taken at a good pace through several palaces, madrassas, workshops and squares - they will show you the most spectacular places for a photo shoot, tell a bunch of historical jokes - sad and funny - you will not regret it! Khiva is beautiful!
