I don't particularly like shopping and, consequently, shopping malls. But it would be strange to watch the fountain show and not walk through the Dubai Mall) I liked it 👌
Despite the huge number of people - Friday evening, walking locals + guests of Dubai - it's quite comfortable to move around. We looked at the fish in the aquarium, admired the pearl fishermen, and watched the fountain show. It was a wonderful sight for me.
In general, if you're around, I recommend it. If you are not nearby, you should definitely come once, just like in Dubai itself.

A transfer from the hotel took you to the nearest metro station in Sharjah. Then take the subway to Dubai. It's not difficult to figure out both tickets and subway traffic. A nice bonus is that there is a suspended, covered, air-conditioned bridge with travelators from the subway to the Mall. The prices are high, even if compared with Russian ones. So you need to look and consider, it makes sense to buy what is cheaper (and it's definitely not clothes and shoes) or what is difficult to find in Russia. And so, of course, there is a place to walk slowly for several hours. I liked the design of Chinatown, the aquarium, and the overall design. There are good points to look at the Burj Khalifa and the fountain show - the Apple Store balcony and the bridge to the market.

A huge beautiful Dubai Mall with a huge park next to the fountains. There are 4 floors in the center, beautifully decorated, aquarium, excavators, toilets, exchangers, coffee and restaurants. Anything that pleases the soul, of course, for our money. All souvenirs are expensive. We are here with an excursion to everything about everything, including fountains, we were given exactly 2 hours! If someone was late, they had to take a taxi back. Of course, 2 hours is very very short. The only thing we managed to buy was a phone. Fortunately, they knew in advance that the equipment was on the top floor. It was a quest! As soon as they let us go, we rushed to look for a toilet, found a huge queue there, then looked for exchangers-we found time to walk around and see something else! Then immediately to the 4th floor for the phone, weighing all the pros and cons, using a translator on the phone and bypassing all 3 departments with a cell phone, pouring out seven pots we bought! The sellers are all polite, name-calling, explained that you can return the tax free (tax) at the airport, they gladly sold us a Samsung phone, handing us a bunch more gifts!
And of course, we didn't have time to see the aquarium and especially the fountains, we spent the remaining 30 minutes looking for the departure point where we need to return at exactly 21:00.
My advice is not to combine shopping and excursions in this case. But so we went as far as 100 km to Dubai, of course we wanted to catch two birds with one stone!

A great shopping and entertainment center! To get around everything, not running, but slowly relaxing, I think the whole day will not be enough. It has EVERYTHING and even a little more ;). The food court area is huge (but there is a minus: there is no coffee anywhere. Juices / water - yes, but there is no coffee in KFC and MacDonalds, which are familiar to us, or in other cafes). But it doesn't matter - there are a lot of coffee shops in the shopping center, just don't look for them in the food court.
I got a lot of positive things from the aquarium - it's a very sticky sight.
