One of the oldest temples, and that says it all. There was an oracle at this temple in ancient times. Just walk around the walls, touch the antiquity with your hands, feel the intangible, understand that the myths of ancient Greece are closer than they may seem.
Maybe someone will be interested. I came across the fact that local travel agencies do not have trips to Didim (Temple of Apollo) in Bodrum. And a taxi transfer, with a wait of 3-5 hours back by Corsair taxi 160 euros. So, it turns out that there is a ferry from the port of Bodrum 3 times a day there and 3 times back, for a completely reasonable price tag of 250 lire in one direction, and if you sail away the earliest and return the latest, then there are 4 hours left for a walk along Didim and a visit to the temple of Apollonp, it should be enough. At least it shouldn't be stuffy on the road for the month of July.
The schedule of the first ferry from Bodrum leaves at 11.15, tickets and the ferry itself depart from the Bodrum Marina, you need to go behind the castle, to the very end of the port, to where the customs terminal for catamarans from Kos is. Tickets are sold in the Buffet, you must have a passport, beer for the road at a price slightly more expensive than the store. A one-way ticket to Didim for an adult is 250 liras, up to 7 years old it seems to be free, after 160 liras. The ferry is clean, tidy, the cabin is air-conditioned, enters the Tour route on the way, the road in one direction is 2! Hours. The views of the Aegean Sea are stunning. It's faster only on a rocket. I highly recommend it. The last ferry from Didim to Bodrum is back at 17.45, the journey time is the same 2 hours with a stop at Turgutreis. Have a great holiday to everyone!
The ruins themselves can be seen through the fence, the entrance is expensive.
The city where they are located is an excellent resort with a long beach
beautifully. It's powerful. epic. like Moscow City, it just took longer. and still, apparently, it will stand. You feel like a little bugger looking up at God.
Didyma, won my heart! Let's go after Ephesus, I haven't read anything about the sanctuary of Apollo. And I was surprised by everything! You can feel the power, as if giants, giants were building, you can't help but believe it, everything is so huge! How interestingly the stone is processed. All the details are visible, even very small ones! The Gorgon jellyfish is funny. And next to her, I decided that her friend. I advise you to visit this place. In ancient times, it was very significant. An oracle was broadcasting there, many people, the powerful and the rich of this world, turned to him, and there was an incredible source there. The history of this place is very interesting. And the way everything has been preserved has softened my heart, and what you can see and touch such antiquity is a delight!
I liked the temple very interesting, but I do not advise you to go in the morning because there is not a single shade there, so if you go, it's better in the evening
