I really liked the hotel!!! It is located in a convenient quiet location, but at the same time within walking distance from the main attractions. The breakfasts are quite hearty and varied. The hotel also has a gym and a spa area. Everything is clean and tidy. The rooms are spacious and equipped with everything you need.

The room is very cozy, there is a kettle and everything necessary for tea drinking. Large bathroom with bathtub and shower. The cleaning and room service are excellent. The breakfast is varied, in addition to the buffet, you can order porridge, scrambled eggs. The hotel also has a swimming pool and hammam baths, a sauna. I had a pleasant experience.

A good Soviet-era hotel in the very center of Almaty. The room is small, a little tired, but not critical. On the plus side: a good SPA area (at least the ventilation is well done there, there is no mold, as in other hotels, the smell of chlorine or urine. The hammam and sauna are heated well. The pool is small but clean. There are several simulators. There was bottled water in the room all the time. Cleaning is daily, good. Tea and coffee in the room.
Now the cons: for some reason, the bed linen was constantly torn. But at the request they changed it to a nervous one))
Pillows are some kind of misunderstanding, very thin, with a lumpy filler. Because they took an additional one.a place for a child, then they laid out a sofa for us, which constantly moved in different directions and the child just fell to the floor.
Soaps, shampoos, shower gels were put on regularly, but their quality is at the lowest level, the chemistry is chemical. If possible, take your own.
There seems to be a lot of food at breakfast, but everything is kind of tasteless. Often the sliced food smelled like a dirty board, and the dishes smelled like a dirty rag.

The rooms are very tired, just very much - the furniture needs renovation and partially (for example, armchairs) - replacement; curtains, blankets, pillows, lamp - everything is replaceable! It is necessary to provide an outlet near the bed - how to put the phone on charge at night? At the same time, we must pay tribute, the bathroom, apparently, was renovated. The staff is very friendly and attentive - thanks a lot for that! Restaurant food is very expensive and absolutely not edible.

Pros:

Minuses:
1. Very poor and tasteless breakfasts. At the level of a mediocre three-star hotel.
2. It was difficult to wash twice in the morning: the water constantly changed from hot to icy every second.

The hotel is designed for business, not for a family stay, and it is definitely not 5 stars, based on the available infrastructure and room layout. Overall, I left a pleasant impression. Good location, breakfast, friendly staff. It's clean, they're cleaning up. At the same time, there were significant problems with WiFi, adjusting the temperature of the water in the shower, and the operation of the TV.

The rooms are comfortable, without complaints about quality, convenience, etc. (stayed twice, with an interval of a year), high-quality cleaning.
A magnificent SPA with a swimming pool, and is open until 22.00, i.e. in the evening you can have time to swim / warm up after business in the afternoon. In general, the prices are satisfactory, i.e. the price/quality ratio is quite satisfactory.
- Unfortunately, the breakfasts absolutely do not correspond to the stated 5 stars. It would be fine for a "three-piece", for a 4-piece - already with a lot of tension, well, there are no 5 stars even in theory. From the series "poor, but clean." Perhaps this is the only serious disadvantage.
Otherwise, the hotel can and should be recommended.

A clean and cozy hotel! The room is cool, two-room. The bed is very comfortable, I slept comfortably. Large bathrobes and comfortable slippers! Breakfast for a variety of choices! Attentive staff. We didn't have time to get into the pool. And we had a great rest! We will definitely come back!

I was on a business trip to Kazakhstan, stayed at the Dostyk hotel. the hotel looks very dignified, pompous, the entrance group is impressive!!!! The hotel is located within walking distance from the metro station and the city center.I was greeted by the friendly hotel staff and escorted to a lovely room. Hygiene products, bathrobe, slippers, hair dryer, 2 bottles of water, tea, coffee were presented in the room, everything is very beautiful and dignified, beautiful interior. The hotel restaurant had a very delicious breakfast with a wide selection of dishes for every taste. There is also a bar with a large selection of drinks. There is also a shop and an ATM on the 1st floor. I liked everything very much, it's not the first time I've stayed at this hotel. I hope for further cooperation.

I didn't like the breakfasts: even the universal pancakes and fritters were not delicious. Coffee tastes like powdered coffee. Omelet and pastries are good to eat.
WiFi is not a very good signal, sometimes even the browser page took a long time to load. Watching the movie/series online was not possible. The service does not reach 5 stars: I found a trace / plaque on the mug from the previous guest's drink, stains in the bathroom. The room is a little tired - it seems that the cosmetics have not been updated for a long time (the room was standard). Water is provided in the room. The rest was clean. I was pleased with the warm floor in the bathroom, but my feet were freezing in the main room. The staff is polite.
The price included a SPA, but I didn't try it.

-there was a residue for a bad lunch box at an early check-out: they did not give what they ordered.
-we changed the room because the shower cabin was leaking, the bathroom was heated (it is considered unacceptable for 5*)

I travel a lot and I can say with confidence that 5 stars is too much for this hotel. I would have ripped off a couple of stars from there without a twinge of conscience. This is a hotel that is more than 25 years old. According to the service level, a maximum of 4, according to the room level, an old three-star, according to the bathroom level of my room, two stars (in the shower on the floor there is a white plate screwed on with screws, which bends so that you think about safety). The breakfasts are tolerable, there is no variety, but you can still find something delicious if you look. It's good to look for) The only plus is the location, the center.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL FOR ACCOMMODATION. Moreover, the price does not match the quality!

Nice hotel! We lived in a junior suite. I don't recommend it . A very inconvenient entrance . There is no hanger at the entrance , you do not know where to put or raise your outerwear, you throw it on the sofa. There are no really convenient sockets for charging the phone. It 's not thought out ! It 's not thought out at all ! There is a wonderful bathroom, two TVs, and there is nowhere to charge the phone and put outerwear.
