What is nice is that the guests are greeted kindly , the staff responds to requests immediately. One of the disadvantages is that the food is not varied. There's nowhere to go for a walk. Living with a view of the pool and the sea is nice, but it's noisy.
Tips are welcome. The hotel itself is green. The ocean in February is dangerous, huge waves, it is dangerous to swim. There is always a hotel security guard on the shore. Those who cannot swim to shore are caught.

In this photo, a hotel room, we lived in a bungalow, the whole atmosphere was felt, a lizard came to visit, a squirrel rustled at night, the ocean is visible from the open door! Everything is great, cleaning, food, staff. Towels were sometimes not changed, but this is not a problem, they were brought on demand. The coastline is empty, coarse-grained sand and the ocean is just for you! Super!

A family-run hotel. There are no cafes/shops nearby. The hotel is located in a rural area. The staff is great, the animation is great (be sure to play games in the yard, it's a lot of fun). They speak only English. The food is very tasty and varied) take everything included, you will not regret it. You can take euros and dollars (but new ones). The Union Pay card has stopped working there. Don't take any chances with the cards. Massage is definitely recommended. They do well) drinks are all inclusive - beer, whiskey/rum/gin + juice/tonic is not a problem. There are paid cocktails (they are on a separate menu at the bar).
Take a room on the ground floor (if you can, then with a veranda with access to the street to the pool), it is very convenient. Own sun beds, immediately a swimming pool. The yard is huge) be sure to take a walk) There is also a bar and a swimming pool at the other end of the territory.
Live music at the reception bar every evening. There is a theater. Tennis (large / table). Be sure to take a walk around every corner of the hotel. And also along the ocean. The beach is big and very steep) but until 18:00. After sunset, security will not let you on the beach (but you can leave the gate and go across the street to the beach).

The hotel is not bad, 4* But! If you are going to Sri Lanka and of course you want to swim in the warmest ocean, next to this hotel and even somewhere nearby, you will not be able to swim. There are always big, churning, swirling waves in Negombo. Sometimes they reach up to 3 m . Plus tugs, dragging them into the ocean. In my presence, 4 people were personally rescued. One was saved by Mario, a local resident who sells taxis, tuk tuks. I was just passing by. The hotel doesn't even consider it necessary to put a lifeguard ashore. They hung signs on the fence and flags with 2 red rags, which means you absolutely can not swim and that's it, washed your hands of it. They don't answer for anything. When I saw a man drowning, I raised all the tour operators. The next day, a rescuer was brought to Sarang, he was there while I was at the hotel. Then none of the rescuers were there.
Then, outside the hotel, we found a nook where rocks block the ocean, where the water is waist-deep or knee-deep. But the way there lies through 2 garbage heaps that are smoldering (the locals burn garbage like that), then small thickets and rats the size of cats run around and you go out to a sandy nook where old boats and fishing gear lie, garbage naturally and went there to at least a little bit to buy. When I asked for a refund for 2 weeks in order to leave for Beruvella. The hotel refused and they also said that we would issue a 100% fine!!! This is what a disgusting attitude tourists should have towards us, we are disenfranchised! If you don't like the hotel, but you will be held hostage by the hotel and you will walk around upset and the whole vacation will go down the drain.

The hotel is very nice. When we went, we were met, planted, brought cocktails, we had to wait for check-in not at the registration desk, but sitting)) They fed well, there is a choice, they even found something to give to a 2-year-old child, they did not stay hungry. Pleasant freshly squeezed juices. We lived with a sea view and next to the far pool, in one of the bungalows. We were satisfied.

A good hotel, 40 minutes from Colombo, cozy small houses 30 meters from the ocean, large pools with a bar, good food, constant entertainment, there is a coach. gym, volleyball, darts, ping pong table. The beach is not a hotel, therefore it is not equipped, without lifeguards and infrastructure, red sand. The ocean is quite undulating up to 1-1.5 m, but my son and I were constantly swimming. There are not many shops and restaurants around at all.

Great hotel. My husband and I really liked everything. We took half board, we did fine without lunch. Breakfasts and dinners are beyond praise. There is a minus, of course, there are practically no shops near the hotel, for example with fruits, tea, etc. (something that can be taken home, for example) you need to hire a tuk-tuk and drive 3 km to the Negomba city road.
We bought an excursion to Ella from the hotel guide. We also hired a car to Colombo.

Great hotel! Wonderful staff! There is a kettle and tea and coffee in the room. In the bathroom there is gel, shampoo, body lotion, liquid soap, hair dryer. There are no bathrobes or slippers. The cleaning is normal, every day, although the sheets are grayish, the towels are white (2 pcs and 1 under the feet of the shower). The buffet is quite decent, there are seafood, delicious ice cream. The territory is wonderful, well-groomed, green, large swimming pool. The only thing was that there was not enough good coffee, there was only one coffee machine in the bar, for a fee (we had everything included). But for lunch and dinner, delicious dry wine, good cocktails in bars.

There is a breakwater on the left on the beach so you can swim at any time, there are also thickets and a wild beach with local party people. The food is good, but there is a lot of very spicy food, so we need to take this point into account. The beach is good, there are always free sun beds. Nice pools. There is practically no entertainment in the evenings, except for live music in the bar. But it was fine with us. Peace and quiet. After Moscow, that's what we need. I definitely won't go a second time! For me, the area seemed small, mostly a cluster of bungalows and a three-story hotel along the pool. Upon arrival, we changed the room
with an additional fee to be by the pool. The rest was calculated for 10 days, but we were charged an additional fee for 11. I tried to explain that the calculation was not correct, they just did not listen to me. As a result, I demanded a check, they assured me for a long time that it was not needed and that they would do it for a long time. I sat down opposite an employee at the reception and said that I had a lot of time and I would wait for my check. We were in high season and the animation worked very well! Food...Yes, there are a lot of spicy things! But, you will always find something to eat without problems. We noticed that on weekdays there is less of everything, on weekends there is more variety and even shrimp and crabs, but this is when a lot of locals come. Yes, that was annoying! We were wearing bracelets, we were on an all-inclusive system. But, at the bar, they ask for the room number, then they run after you so that you sign a zero check, and then they kill you altogether! You take a cocktail and there is a list right there - you write your own number and drinks with a signature))) if the administration has decided to control its employees or us in this way, how much we charge, then remove the bracelets from people! A separate topic is dogs on the territory! We kindly ask the hotel administration to resolve this issue! They sleep on sun beds, and the animals are sick.The ocean is calm only in the first half of the day.the rooms are generally clean, we were cleaned very well! Every time they left interesting figures from the towels! We have collected a whole collection of photos) the hotel has left a double attitude! Everything seems to be through...although our vacation was a success, but it is not related to the hotel)

the hotel is gorgeous, I bet 5, but there are also disadvantages. the food was great, they took full board. Rooms - there are villas, rooms (4 floors, overlooking the pool and the sea), the villas are chic, but small. the service is at the highest level, the hotel staff is always smiling. the pool is huge, there is both a small depth and a large one. but still there is 1 minus - and this is a beach, the beach is not for swimming, there are no fish, you can't see the bottom, so I had to drive 4 hours to the other end of the island to swim coolly there. in principle, if you don't care where to swim, then I highly recommend dolphin, we flew from Novosibirsk for 8 hours. everyone liked everything 💯💯

The animators had a break for a couple of hours (they were rehearsing the evening program) In the evening, at sunset, a cavalcade on horses rode out: a red sunset - and cavalry. To tears!!! Your own mini zoo. The food is great! We didn't live in a bungalow, in the main building. There was even a video set-top box in the room at that time, and you could take the discs at the reception (in Russian (. then we left our own too. Only the ocean let me down. The waves would be such that you can't swim. All the vacationers were near the pool. (Insurance) Did you guess who was jumping on the waves? Right!!! 8 abnormal ones. The language barrier was overcome with the help of whiskey and gestures. And all the vacationers had skinned knees, at first we were perplexed, then when we started walking with them ourselves, we realized. The sand on the beach is large, and crabs are running on it, and you think you can catch it! Figushki, but you're slowing down with your knees! I stayed at this hotel in mid-November. It's the beginning of the season. But the hotel was very poorly prepared for it.
Three meals a day. It was the same every day, almost everything was spicy (I love it, but my husband suffered), there was almost no fruit.
Tennis, billiards and other leisure activities had to be begged and called at the reception by animators who have keys, etc. Although usually (in other hotels) all entertainment is always available!
The hotel and staff come to life only when local Lankans come for the weekend, everything works, the hotel is bubbling, even the food increases the assortment.
Perhaps we were just unlucky to get into such a period.
One huge plus is the landscape, but I think it will be no worse in another hotel.
I don't want to go back to this hotel, that's for sure.

Not very far from the airport. There are not many shops on the main street, you can easily get to the center by tuk-tuk. The beach is clean, the ocean is sometimes stormy.
